I’m so thankful that this homily autoplayed! I swear I was the only one that was thinking okay people 60 is the limit on the sign , and that means that’s the safest and fastest you need to go…however, 20 years ago this never occurred to me because I had hurry sickness 😂😂😂 I think it really has to do with the spirit too. Thank you Father Mike! Praying for you 🙏🏽✝️
After 45 years of being a nurse, I retired last year in November. I can now put away the box of hurry and worry and take down the box of peace and rest!
Thank you for your dedication to caring for others at their time of most need. I've been in the hospital many times in the last few years and when I had a good nurse it made all the difference. Thankfully I only had a few nurses who were a challenge! Enjoy your retirement!!
They with ears to hear, let them hear: Through the Holy Spirit, God has put it on me to preach to those lost in the devil's deceit! Hear me when I say, ye that are Catholic have been deceived and know not God. Ye worship Mary, praying to her; when God tells his to worship none other than him. It is idolatry. Catholicism has its own Bible and teachings, which are blasphemous to the word of God: the Holy Bible. As ye follow the teachings of man and not God; ye hear the pope, but not Jesus, yet ye claim to be his disciples! These are but a few things I named ye dwell within; there are many more. I tell you now to repent of your sins, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and you'll receive the gift of the Holy Spirit upon asking the Father! There are *NO* sub-divisions of Christianity. You're either a disciple of Christ or not. A Christian is someone who follows God's word, not a religion. Who obey the Father and follow his will; not man's nor their own heart's. Unless you keep Jesus' commandments, think not the Holy Spirit will dwell within you! They who heed this message and did what was stated with an open heart to God... Read the Holy Bible (KJV) daily and every time before you read, pray to the Father and ask: "Lord I ask that you give me understanding of your word, that I interpret it the way you want me to, and none of my own. I ask you in Jesus' name, amen." Revelation 22:8-9 KJV 8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. 9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God. Acts 2:38 KJV 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Luke 11:13 KJV 13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? John 14:21-24 KJV 21 *He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.* 22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, *If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.* 24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and *the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.* 3 John 1:11 KJV 11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. *He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.* 1 John 3:6-10 KJV 6 *Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.* 7 Little children, let no man deceive you: *he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.* 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9 *Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.* 10 *In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God,* neither he that loveth not his brother.

Thank yu Fr Mike for All yur wonderful sermons And I will learn not To hurry or worry Because God is always at my side and My family GOD BLESS YU Fr Mike. Amen 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏
Just when I thought I had heard Father Mike’s best homily I tune into the next Sunday and I hear an even better one! I love how he really takes the time to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying through the gospel and pour it out into a homily that is not only extremely profound but also relevant to our everyday lives. Father Mike is such a treasure and I credit him to helping me grow my faith these past few months ever since I discovered his teachings through the hallow app. God bless you Father Mike I will pray for you.
Oohhh…this is what I do. And the other day my friend and I were talking about Jesus saying “take my yoke upon you for my burden is light”. (From memory so word for word May not be correct).
Thank you, Fr Mike!!! It felt like you were talking straight to me - I have two things that are holding me back, and you're right. It's gonna hurt. But I have saved this homily to listen to every single time I am tempted. I've tried to stop so many times and failed. Hopefully this will help. ❤
I know what Fr.Mike is saying however, I feel some people are just naturally in a state of hurry. They’re hyper. They talk fast, walk fast, do everything fast as if they have an important meeting to get to. Fr. Mike strikes me as one of these people. I’ve had the opportunity to travel and in so many countries, the lifestyle is so much simpler, slower, family oriented. I’ve stopped being busy. In this culture, we even find ourselves feeling guilty if we’re doing nothing and resting. Remember Fr. Mike I’m watching you right now on You Tube. Everyone should get behind a slow driver. It’s the greatest exercise in patience. I will sit back and enjoy my garden, take a walk, take deep breathes and count my blessing and pray.
This is an old homily, but just what I needed now. Too much to do- hurrying, - worrying! Thank you Fr. Mike. You know human nature so well. I need to trust Jesus. He's always here with me.
It's not about the tool itself but how you use it. This rectangle in my pocket brought me to Thee and I never would've been able to find my sisters in faith without it. We are the weeping sisters at the well, full of doubt and fear, anxiety, & uncertainty. We lost our trust in our relationships with our fellow Man. We have uncertainty of our place in Christ's church, while we simultaneously maintain a deep and abiding faith that God is listening. Just talk to Him. He is our friend not our adversary. Thank you. Amen. I'm only 10 minutes in the message, but I just gotta say that. 😂 I can relate to Fr. Mike 😂
I so enjoy Fr. Mike’s homilies, his podcasts and the BIY, CIY on the Ascension App. It’s funny to me that he listens to content and watches TV on faster speeds. I listen to all of his content on slower speeds, 0.9 or 0.75 because the tempo of his speech is so fast. 😀
I think that when we hurry too much, its our interactions with other people that suffer. We don't notice if someone is down or suicidal, or lonely or need help, because we're so busy. So many people today feel they have no meaningful connections with others. When I'm out and about I take my time and notice my surroundings. I can share small talk or smile and make little jokes. When I'm walking into the grocery store I can walk slowly through all the flowers out front and enjoy them, instead of wishing I had the time for a beautiful flower garden.Getting old or sickly will force you to slow down, and you will suffer the most if you can't be busy all the time. And most of all, you can't see God and the holy spirit if you don't take the time to look and listen to them, and read and study. All of our relationships are the first casualties in our efforts to do too many tasks.
“And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].” Philippians 4:7
Every morning I get up to listen to your podcast every day and download your video it’s nippy huge inspiration again at 75 he left at my life you give me power if you give me strength with all this knee pain day going through I have vascular problem vasculitis in my neck where they can’t put a stammer do surgery because it’s too dangerous smoker pressure keeps going really high because the bloods not flying ride to the brain but I’ve been praying hard and praying and watching your videos and it seems like my blood pressure is Lorraine and this is not a myth it’s just the truth facts God bless you again look forward to hearing your podcast every single day in the morning thank you so much Albert
Dear, wonderful father, Mike, please know that you would be much more effective in your speaking if you weren’t, I was hurrying! Once upon a time in my younger days, I was rushing around as well. God and his mighty wisdom gave me a chronic illness, and now I have to go slow. You might think about that because anybody’s prone to what God wants to do. He obviously wants to slow us down however, you do his will so that’s a good thing.
Dear Father Mike: I have listened to and profited from many of your homilies, but this one is The One that struck me to the heart and will be the key to changing my life. I'm serious. I am 71, a retired legal secretary. I worked in a large San Francisco firm, and people jokingly said that the stress of a legal secretary could be compared to that of an air traffic controller (LOL!). The pressure and pace of the job coupled with the long hours of commute pushed me to the very limit. Of course I also wanted a life outside of work, and I tried to garden and play music as well as devote time to prayer and religious study. I devoured books and articles on efficiency and how to get more and more done in less and less time. And our culture pushes and celebrates this message. You can have and do it all! You just have to organize yourself better! Say "Yes"! And if you don't "just do it" then you're somehow not living up to your potential. That was the bottom line that created the fear, worry, and hurry--not to try meant you were a failure in "being all you could be." Did all this hustle and bustle satisfy me, make me happy, give me a sense of achievement? No...I just felt tired, and resented the sense of a whip constantly urging me on. Then the happy day arrives: I retire! Yay! Now I can slow down, relax, enjoy a slower pace. But it has not been an easy transition for me. Though I no longer spend most of my time commuting and working, I think the years of unrelenting pressure to get as many things done in 24 hours as possible has worked on my psyche...it is so hard not to feel restless, not to feel guilty for not filling my days with activity, pursuing all the so-called retirement goals. Then I listened to your homily. Lord have mercy. I have heard the teaching many times about Jesus calling us to lay down our burden, to learn from Him, that He would give us rest. But I always perceived the rest as that coming at the end of our lives, after we kept our shoulder to the wheel with His help. We were taught not to pursue worldly goals of fame, fortune, honor, etc. But no one ever spoke to the other worldly message of so-called personal fulfillment. "Yes, I'm doing all these things, but for the right reasons...personal fulfillment AND living up to my God-given potential!" Yes, doing all these things and still feeling fear and worry that I'm not doing enough. Your homily stopped me in my tracks--I now feel that I can certainly get this monkey off my back, that I can say "no" when the devil starts whispering in my ear that I'm being lazy, that I can sincerely feel Jesus at my side, teaching me that my personal fulfillment comes from a closer, s-l-o-w-e-r walk with Him. Thank you, Father Mike, from the bottom of my heart.
being at the beck and call for other ppl, never peace in case worry that thgey are not pleased. Only experienced once when I put myself first, such peace joy constant happily busy and grateful. I am stuck mostly pleasing the ungrateful.
I literally just laughed out loud “I’m the problem it’s me”😂😂😂. ❤ y’all, and pray for you as you have for me every day after the Catechism In A Year! Thanks Father, Kristy in Missouri 🙏🙏🙏😃🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
"Haste is of the Devil." - St. Jerome. I doubted St. Jerome's words so I tried it out. He was right. Haste puts you into the future; eliminating haste brings you into the present, which is where God resides. When you hurry, you have a fear not of God but of someone or something else. When you eliminate haste, you only fear God.
I did t know about listening at 2x soloed to you mentioned it Fr Mike so for the last year that’s how I’ve been listening to YOU 😂 My friends think I’m crazy. lol. You talk fast to begin with. 🌪️ 🌀
I am a Christian, not necessarily consider myself a Catholic, but I agree with Father Mike's message 💯 percent. The Lord has showed me this (certain points in the message), and often times the Lord does not speak without confirmation. Often times, the Lord speaks through one's circumstance. I have been persecuted by a particular group of people for a long time. I am on a housing program and I am in law school. They think that I'm not doing enough, and need to be doing more and more, and just not rest. Recently, and last semester, I took on an extra course called 'Religious Liberty' and was also doing volunteering work on top of school. On one particular week, I had a project that needed to be turned in for Religious Liberty, four assignments, and an exam due by the end of the weekend. I got persecuted by this group of people because I wanted to take one day off from volunteering (because the exam was on the same day as the volunteer work). So I forced myself to work and became ill. I've recently taken on an internship and was let go because I didn't adhere to these people's agenda. I think particularly in America, they think being busy and working hard is good, which I don't completely disagree with. But I disagree when they force you to do what they want and think they're right, when they are not right. I also disagree with them that this should be a lifestyle when it is an unhealthy lifestyle. Physically and mentally, the human capacity is not made for that kind of abuse on their body, and second, one's spiritual life suffers because you're too distracted and tired to even listen to God or spend time with God. Particularly, when they forget the importance of listening to God and abiding in God. America harbor one of the highest rates of mental sicknesses and diseases in the world, such as anxiety, depression, ocd, not to mention physical illnesses. When you travel to third world countries, even though they're not considered physically rich, they do not suffer the same kind of illnesses that people in America do. I think you make a good argument that, how can we hear God and know what God wants us to do when we're busy all the time? We're too consumed with 'self' and are distracted. Another good point you make and I agree with you totally, is that, this is Satan's plan to make us sin. There's two points in sinning here. First, Satan make us busy so that we're incapable of hearing God and abiding in God, we're too distracted, and second, when we labor, or keep busy, it is usually so we can gain more, more success, more money, more things, more fame, more prestige, etc. Those all lead to sin if we are not careful. We have to step back and say, "Is God in this?" Lastly, there's no way to live up to the promises of God with the type of lifestyle they want to force on people, that is, "to enter into His (God's) rest and to enter into His joy." God didn't make us to hurry and worry, but people do, and that's sad. Father Mike makes a good point that, "How can we give what we do not have?" In other words, "How can you give joy, if you don't have joy, or, how do you give peace, when you have no peace?" I consider myself an overachiever too, but when they tried to force their agenda on me (that is, need to do more and work harder, and not get the rest you need), I knew they were going too far. I just remember thinking, if I can get the rest, I can function better and last longer. For me, the mental strain was worse than the physical strain. But I didn't know how to stop them. I am glad that God is intervening at this time and letting the world know what is going on, especially here in America. "Satan's works, and Satan's distraction." I'm glad that there are countries that actually limit the amount of hours you can work, and I just read in Norway, they're making people take paid vacation time -- one company requires 25 days paid vacation time. So they have to take the vacation time. Also, I have a professor that won't profess Jesus in his line of work, but says he's a Christian. But he's patriotic. We're living in times that God is not happy with lukewarm people. Nothing comes before the Lord, that is, nothing is more important than the Lord, not even pride in country. Matthew 11:28-30. "Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and 'you will find rest for your souls.' For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." Thank you, Father Mike.💐🌻✝
Years ago, I realized just how much we are missing in life by overcomplicating our lives. It weighed so heavily on my heart that it compelled me to write the book, "Slow Down!: A Dad's Simple Advice to His Children and to the World." We are destroying ourselves with "busy."
I am always with impatience. Need to study more, need to clean up the house, and so on. Father make me realize what I need is the more time with God. I believe God forgive my poor English. Thank you, Father.
So good. So relevant. I have wasted way too much time in my life, anxious and worried. Even as I have learned this, I still waste time. I am sure Jesus is calling me back to himself with a calming, “don’t worry, don’t worry. I love you.” And this is all I want and need to flourish.
Father Mike, I am so grateful to have found you, or rather that God led me to you! You continue to inspire and motivate me. You present things in a way that understandable and even “DOable” on my best days. Thank you
Thank you, Father Mike for an absolutely wonderful homily. I also listen to Bishop Barren, he spoke once saying the soul likes to move slowly. His words go well with your homily. I am 60 years old, with medical problems. But I still work full-time in construction and maintenance work. I drive a lot for my work, and every day i see the hurried pace everyone is in. Now I will think of your homily and Bishop Barrens words. God bless you
I love both of them, remember so much of what they say. Priests are always so busy now, I don't think they can not hurry sadly. I don't think picking a shorter lane is bad though. ; )
I think i've actually met God a number of times. He's no nonsense. Essentially, the Israelites and Jews are free to obey His/Her commandments or suffer the consequences: death. He/She does not tolerate devious dangerous minds. And thus we watch The Rolling Stones slowly rot and London slowly sink.
Please pray for me and my children. Prayers are ALL I NEED and want. I’m a single mother and I’m struggling to provide for my sons both are autistic and I’m overwhelmed! I lost my job because I declined the vaccine. I declined due to my heart condition I had a massive heart attack and I suffer from lupus. I am waitressing now but not making nearly enough to get by. Ever month is a battle. I can’t go back to my job at the hospital because mandates are still in place. Jesus help me to overcome my fears. Because as I struggle I am fearful. Struggling to provide for me and my children is scary Struggling to buy groceries. Struggling to pay rent. BUT I trust you Lord. Jesus hear my prayers. I’m so thankful that God has provided this far. Jesus has never left my side. Praise Jesus. Even though I’m discouraged I will keep faith! ❤

God bless u you Father mike for all you do! It just seems that your boundless energy you apply to biy and ciy and your homilies are very helpful to all of us, and your energy, and your excitement about the points you are trying to get across(pun intended)are a source of joy to us all. Thank you a hundred times over. Praying 🙏 for you all. God bless
Less is more. Less of yourself; and it balances out when you are in 1 Peter 4: hospitality, Charity covers; talking in the Spirit; ect, ect, & ect. That is my favorite scripture.
I have done the looking for the shortest line one, but not because I was hurrying to get anywhere, just don't enjoy being in the store any longer than necessary. Also, I think it's courteous to make sure the lines are relatively even for the cashiers' sake. It wouldn't be fair for one to have a long line and another to be waiting to help someone.
If I played Fr. Mike's sermon at double speed, I wouldn't be able to understand a word he said :D He talks at double speed! I wish he would slow down and take the time to savor the words, so we can too. :) God bless. This was a fine sermon about not hurrying while the giver of the sermon was hurrying over his words.
Fr Mike is wise & insightful beyond his age 💗✝️ He is so passionate about what he's saying that he talks fast. I tried playing this video at a slower speed but it's not natural. Better to listen to Fr Mike's homilies more than once & pause as necessary. He has a lot of wisdom & inspiring quotes to share 🥰 God Bless him & all who strive to live the Gospel ✝️💗🕊🙏👼
You've stopped me in my tracks literally Father Mike😢THANKYOU🙏My daily life goes tends to be three steps forward & six steps back! God bless you Father❤
As I watched this I was driving at 55 mph 😅 I used to be a speed demon prior to having my kids. But as soon as I got pregnant the first time things changed. Now, I squeeze three car seats in the back of my Toyota Corolla and find that with all the distractions and the need to look glance at them through the rear view, 55 is a safer option for me. I also keep a very healthy distance from the car in front of me. Whenever I drive 60-65 I tend to be braking a little to close to the car in front of me which is unsafe for my family. I also have a little more compassion and patience for other slower drivers as well! I wonder if they’re older, pregnant, have little ones or even just transporting coffee ❤
I realized I'm always in a hurry even though I am just going home from work to home . You have put things into perspective for me. Thank you for that homily. Amen 🙏
Some days I just can't wait to get to my home, work is dealing with the public, but other times I'm more chill. ; ) I do notice how people will pass me often for just a few yards, there are lights all over, but the urge to get those seconds matters so much.
So profound a homily...Thankyou Fr.Mike. 🙏
I think I may have been keeping overly busy to distract myself from my sadness rather than confront it. Thank you fr Mike.
I’m so thankful that this homily autoplayed! I swear I was the only one that was thinking okay people 60 is the limit on the sign , and that means that’s the safest and fastest you need to go…however, 20 years ago this never occurred to me because I had hurry sickness 😂😂😂
I think it really has to do with the spirit too. Thank you Father Mike! Praying for you 🙏🏽✝️
Hurry up and lose? Father Mark, you are a living disciple of Jesus. Thank you for all that you share to man and the world.🎉
Oddly enough I binge watch Fr. Mike…

8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9 *Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.*
10 *In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God,* neither he that loveth not his brother.

Agree.
This is one of the insightful sermons that I have heard for a long time. The effective use of our time is so important.
I agree with hope
If the devil cannot make you sin, he makes you busy.
It is in vain that you rise up early
and go late to rest,
eating the bread of anxious toil;
for he gives sleep to his beloved.
--Psalm 127:2
Thank you for the passage
Oohhh…this is what I do. And the other day my friend and I were talking about Jesus saying “take my yoke upon you for my burden is light”. (From memory so word for word May not be correct).
Praise Be!!! What a lovely reminder of our human toiling - for not. Give EVERYTHING up to God, Jesus and The Holy Spirit and He will keep you.
I can’t explain to you Father Mike how this talk made me feel so at ease and I had no anxiety at all hearing this.
Mike 😂
Amen. "If the devil can't make you sin, he'll make you busy." ~ Corrie Ten Boom, very profound.
Amen!
Fr Mike! Single most timely talk I have had in years. You are my 'go too' guy.
I so enjoy Fr. Mike’s homilies, his podcasts and the BIY, CIY on the Ascension App. It’s funny to me that he listens to content and
watches TV on faster speeds. I listen to all of his content on slower speeds, 0.9 or 0.75 because the tempo of his speech is so fast. 😀
Thank you Jesus Christ in Virgin Mary amen Thank Peace ❤❤❤❤
As a New Yorker, we hurry to do nothing! 😁
If he hadn't specified the road, I would think my driving directly inspired this homily.
Thanku father Mike that talk calmed me.i think cause u were calm.bless ya. From down under
“And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].”
Philippians 4:7
God save us from unnecessary hurry and worry! And fear!
Thank you Father , always hitting the bullseye of what we need to hear.
Amen
Well said and thank you.
Oh Father Mike, you got me here. Retired and still in a hurry...Lord deliver me from myself!!!
God bless you!! 😇🙏💞
I pray that the driver behind me grants me patience as he or she would their grandmother. I pray the driver behind me will do me no harm.

Soooooo good Fr. Mike❤

Thank you Father Mike. I heard that twice now. As I heard it on Sunday. Thank you.
Beautiful ✝️
St. Jude, pray for us.
We have to step back and say, "Is God in this?"
Lastly, there's no way to live up to the promises of God with the type of lifestyle they want to force on people, that is, "to enter into His (God's) rest and to enter into His joy." God didn't make us to hurry and worry, but people do, and that's sad. Father Mike makes a good point that, "How can we give what we do not have?" In other words, "How can you give joy, if you don't have joy, or, how do you give peace, when you have no peace?"
I consider myself an overachiever too, but when they tried to force their agenda on me (that is, need to do more and work harder, and not get the rest you need), I knew they were going too far. I just remember thinking, if I can get the rest, I can function better and last longer. For me, the mental strain was worse than the physical strain. But I didn't know how to stop them. I am glad that God is intervening at this time and letting the world know what is going on, especially here in America. "Satan's works, and Satan's distraction."
I'm glad that there are countries that actually limit the amount of hours you can work, and I just read in Norway, they're making people take paid vacation time -- one company requires 25 days paid vacation time.
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and 'you will find rest for your souls.' For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
Thank you, Father Mike.💐🌻✝
Years ago, I realized just how much we are missing in life by overcomplicating our lives. It weighed so heavily on my heart that it compelled me to write the book, "Slow Down!: A Dad's Simple Advice to His Children and to the World." We are destroying ourselves with "busy."
Father Mike, I'm not sure you can every understand the positive impact you make on my life. Thank you!
Amen
Writing these comments down to remember and use.
Thankyou Father,
you always have an incredible
message for all of us !

Thank you for the message Father Mike.
It is just waht i need to hear, THANK YOU father Mike. GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS
Father pray for my kids 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I can SO relate. I get so anxious in traffic or slow drivers, even if I have the time.
I try to remember that worry and haste is a sin of lack of faith
I don't think picking a shorter lane is bad though. ; )
Busy is good. Hurry is a threat.
Thank you Father Mike. Yes this is me.
🕯💞💖✨️🙏
good stuff
I think i've actually met God a number of times. He's no nonsense. Essentially, the Israelites and Jews are free to obey His/Her commandments or suffer the consequences: death. He/She does not tolerate devious dangerous minds. And thus we watch The Rolling Stones slowly rot and London slowly sink.
Even retired, and I have too much to do. I needed to hear this homily.
Thank you Father Mike…
please slow down.🤗
Please pray for me and my children. ❤
❤❤❤
God bless you and your children. May He provide for your needs and protect your health.
I will pray for you
You are a beautiful Apostle of our Lord
I actually have to pause Bible in a Year and re-read the chapters again after I listen to Fr Mike read them. His brain goes so much faster than mine.
Be it known: Through the Holy Spirit, God has put it on me to preach to those lost in the devil's deceit!
Read the Holy Bible (KJV) daily and every time before you read, pray to the Father and ask:
"Lord I ask that you give me understanding of your word, that I interpret it the way you want me to, and none of my own. I ask you in Jesus' name, amen."
Revelation 22:8-9 KJV
8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.
9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
Acts 2:38 KJV
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Luke 11:13 KJV
13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
John 14:21-24 KJV
21 *He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.*
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, *If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.*
24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and *the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.*
3 John 1:11 KJV
11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. *He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.*
1 John 3:6-10 KJV
6 *Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.*
7 Little children, let no man deceive you: *he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.*
God bless
😂 I feel the same way, my mind is slow to get it.
I have found comfort in reading the scriptures that I heard at mass using a hi-lighter pen to mark for my life.❤😊
To each his own way of getting closer to God. As companions, we move to eternity. Safe travels to all
Ruthless Elimation of Hurry
I definitely do not suffer from hurry sickness. In fact, I think I could use a little more hurry, LOL.
More Bible and prayers
You speak in a hurry. 🤣🤣 Love you, Fr. Mike!
Hit me right between the eyes Father! I needed it! Ty
The flip side of that coin is:
"Idle hands & an idle brain are the devil's playground."
Balance is important.
Didn’t watch the video yet but I just know the title of this sums up my life lol.
WOW. I listed to this 2x in a row. Thank you, Father Mike!
Not on 2x speed? 😉
@@nightyew2160 listed.😊
what a great talk❣ thank you so much❣❣❣
To meet that goal you need to ask for right detachment without fear. That is when the Holy Spirit and Guardian Angel can guide your day.
The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry - John Mark Comer. It’s a great book
❤
Was watching this at 1.5 x speed before hearing the gist of the message 😅
🔥These have been great recently.
Less is more. Less of yourself; and it balances out when you are in 1 Peter 4: hospitality, Charity covers; talking in the Spirit; ect, ect, & ect. That is my favorite scripture.
Thank you... i needed this one
I have hurry sickness 😅 I’ve done all three
Same here…😔
I have done the looking for the shortest line one, but not because I was hurrying to get anywhere, just don't enjoy being in the store any longer than necessary.
This is true. Fr. Mike speaks at double speed but that is who he is and I love him for the gift he is.
@@ds294 He is definitely a gift!!
It’s youth. My grandchildren speak really fast, too.

This is so me thank you father Mike ❤
I would do anything for 11 hours of sleep a night
"The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry " by John Mark Comer, is a life adjusting book!
The audio version is great, too.
Peace be with you all!
You've stopped me in my tracks literally Father Mike😢THANKYOU🙏My daily life goes tends to be three steps forward & six steps back! God bless you Father❤
Life gets lost in the shuffle of hurry🙁

Thank you Fr. Mike ❤
Amen Fr. Mike!!

Right here...19:43
As I watched this I was driving at 55 mph 😅 I used to be a speed demon prior to having my kids.
I just needed to hear this, Fr. Mike. Thank you
I realized I'm always in a hurry even though I am just going home from work to home .
