    At 23:33, what would happen if you added DAL, WAS, and SEA in one Site Link instead of doing a Site Link Bridge?

    Hello Kevin. I'm in one of your Udemy classes and you reference this video. I wanted to ask a couple of questions. One, for this to work, do all the servers in each location have to have the same domain name? Also, when roaming profile is configured and someone visits a different location, what happens? I've seen this before and it's stuck in an endless login state. Best practices, please.

    Question. Do you just create the sites at the hub only? Or do you replicates this at each site?

    Thank you for the great video. I do have one question, though: How do you configure one site if that particular site doesn't have a DC, but instead, the DC is in the other site? For example, if there is no controller in Seattle, only the one in Washington. In my case, there is an MPLS connection between these sites or site-to-site VPN.

    Q: at 24:26 you said that any sites can now replicate with each other while at 26:35 You said that sites eg. DAL-SEA dont replicate with each other but with WAS first.
    Q: at 25:15 You didnt mention the Bridge all site links setting. If I understand correctly that means that all sites replicate with each other by default, and that bridge was not needed and wouldnt work correctly without disabling this option.
    Q: I noticed BRIDGE doesnt have a cost, on what cost and schedule do the DAL-SEA replicate?
    Q: setting up backup site links, does it mean that you still have to create all site links eg. DAL-SEA just with higher cost or would that BRIDGE work in this case (but with what cost?)

      I had the same perception; and I said to myself that he meant that the replication goes to Washington then to the other sites automatically.

    Good video, and I realize this is a bit of a nitpick, but technically those are not subnets. They are classful (un-sub-netted class B) networks.

    • @kevinbrown6882
      @kevinbrown6882  Рік тому +1

      When you are in ADSS they are referred to as subnets, hence the name of the folder being 'subnets' and to define any IP network, the option is 'new subnet'. Microsoft refers to any IP network as a subnet in sites and services.
