@@ethanmartinez5339 thank you for all the support the entire weekend. You and your dad made the weekend very memorable for me. Next time I see you, I bet you will be taller than me and schooling me on the track.
Another awesome video. You are showing all these places that mini z track was huge. Showing so many different sides of this crazy hobby we all love. If ok they just opened a mini z track by my house in Bohemia LI NY call Level 454. Hope people show them some support
Use to have mini-z's back in the day. And a track. Didn't think you were allowed to have reverse when you raced. Great channel. Thinking about buying a car again. Cheers from sweden.
hey i know Marcus he lived down the street form my grandparents in Houston. He used to have a really fast RX8 (full size car) he would race. i sold him a used turbo years and years ago
I'm getting back in to on road I cant wait to finish my Tamiya TT02 build and I cant wait to start collecting mini zs I originally started racing the RadioShack ones witch is what got me in to the hobby I miss it cant wait to get back in to it.
I thought it was hard to follow those on LiveRC. Those are crazy fast. Cant imagine wrenching on those, they are so small. Was very cool seeing how many were calling you out on the live feed.
It’s going to take more than this hobby shop to keep the landlord from shutting down this mall. It will happen but good luck. I give them high marks for trying. Worth my sub!
Mini-Z racing was a whole rabbit hole I’ve been trying to stay out of I tried it early on when kyosho first released them years ago I initially raced it when I still had enough reflexes to be semi competitive with it but it’s become a whole big serious thing since then as shown in your video. That all being said I’m still eventually getting a new one but probably one of the scale 4x4’s or buggies
I don't have any tracks around me but I love the little cars for some reason even more than the big stuff I've even had 5th scale gasoline. Right now I just bought a axial scx24 and a mini z all wheel drive skyline. If I wanted to race with just my buddies are just make me a homemade track is it better to get the rear engine rear wheel drive or the mid motor rear wheel drive in your opinion?
@@MarkSantaMaria thank you sir that helps save me a ton of money so I don't buy a ton of different ones to find the correct chassis for me. Anytime someone answers like you did I give them a sub because you took the time to answer that means a lot
You're up around dallas right? I picked up a miniz this week, wouldn't mind coming up that way to race...have recommendations? Marcus is the man btw :P
Time to upgrade your video gear Mark to get the best footage. Get a 3 axis gimbal to avoid camera shake. Get the Zhiyun Q3. Cheap and bang for the buck. Remember do not buy DJI brand of gimbal. They are freaking expensive. You can get good camera rigs which can do the same job and cheaper. You can track the car with the camera without moving an inch. Check them out.
Holy crap how can they afford that much mall space? Even in an end area the price per sf is nuts. I know prices are down from pre-pandemic, but holy crap that’s a lot of cars to sell
Awesome video I enjoy your content what are your thoughts on the controversy for what I am reading they are no longer allowing sponsor drivers at this track
Have a question for you do some of the races allow some modifications for the RCs so if a person is visually impaired like my self can still race on any type of race off road or mini z race?
Jeeze... track that size i could actually unleash my motor fully! Lol. Ive geared it way down but shes still almost too fast. Love that pn 70 turn ball bearings motor. Im the only guy I know who runs lithium on a brushed... lifepo4 batteries are low enough voltage you can run 2s with 2 blank connector batteries without burning your board out and cut a ton of weight while getting the punch of lipo. I do think limiting gearing in any class is absolutely silly. The car and track limit your gearing. Everyone is on equal footing with gears usually.
To add, I run on a living room track, its half the lane size and twisty turny for technical training. I figure when I get on a real racetrack after covid ill start out strong since its basically twice the difficulty to run on..
Thanks for showcasing such a variety of different niches within the hobby.
It was great meeting your Mark. Love your content, keep spreading the RC love!
Nice meeting you too sir! Congrats on an awesome weekend.

Hi Melissa
clean your pit little man...
Man.....those mini z are fast! Thanks for showing us this race.
Man Marcus Williams been fast all I’ve known him. Cool dude!
So cool. You have to have some really good depth perception, in addition to mad driving skills, to compete on a track like this.
Thank you for making mini Z content
That track is insane.
I love the long straight.

I just raced with Stephen this weekend. Crazy fast!
Been into rc since 2010 when I was 10 always drift out and into it but watching your videos always makes me put my car out lol 😂
Dam that shop looks dope
It was pretty awesome!!! They have drones, drifting, drag and mini racing!! Too bad its 5 hours from us otherwise we'd be there all the time!

Do you lock the diffs on these levels of racing? Or is it still slip diff?

Love MiniZ. Quick trick that i use. Detailers spray wax on your body. Makes it super slick, and helps you "ride" the rails
