I have panic disorder, severe anxiety, severe depression, and ptsd. I feel this to my soul. Thank you so much for normalizing these behaviors. I usually feel crazy. It’s nice to know I’m not alone.

that is 100% it for me. i’m literally only picky because of the way my mom eats/fed me growing up. all red meat has to be 110% well done or i will die, none of my family eats turkey during thanksgiving because it’s “disgusting” idek if i hate it or not I HAVENT EVEN TRIED IT! i just always get grossed out whenever someone says they like it 🤣🤣

When I first tried sushi I basically drowned the sushi in soy sauce because I assumed that's how you were supposed to eat it, and I absolutely hated it. And for the longest time I just assumed I was just one of those ppl who didn't like sushi. But I later realized it was just the super salty soy sauce flavor I didn't like. Highly recommend trying it on it's own, or with different sauces like eel sauce or spicy mayo. I promise you it tastes so much better.

you should try spicy california rolls but substitute crab for salmon or shrimp!! salmon and shrimp are the least fishy tasting seafood in my opinion. i hate seafood but i can tolerate salmon and shrimp, especially along with avocado, cucumber, and spicy mayo :)

my boyfriend has anxiety and severe depression he can only work at one place where the hours are horrible and he gets paid minimum wage anyway i love seeing u try new things because i know how hard he works to stay alive and i’m glad you’re trying to make yourself feel better
I think it is our brain's response to tasting something unfamiliar. Back in the day we relied on taste to differentiate what was bad and good for us. Overtime, as you get older, you come to like certain things you didn't like because your body realizes that it isn't poisonous/bad for you. Also, we all have a different number of taste buds in our mouth, so flavors are sensed at different capacities.
this is a great video, I've developed parosmia couple of months ago and now I'm scared to try most of the foods that I even liked before so I mostly eat the same thing over and over so it's nice to see other people trying new things

Lately my brain has been telling me a blood clot will go to my heart if I eat cheese, just absolutely unprovoked. I also have no allergies.
When I was having a really bad time w my depression after getting out of the hospital I went to the park everyday to just sit and look at trees and the squirrels with wind blowing through the leaves and it was so nice. 10/10 highly recommend lol. Staying in my room too long would get way too triggering :(

i feel so much less alone when you talk about your mental health because i also have really severe anxiety and i get the exact same way where i think everything’s gonna kill me or like when i eat peanut butter or anything with nuts in them i’m gonna die from an allergic reaction… even though i stay eating it. i’m just glad i’m not alone.

I struggle with agoraphobia and I’m pretty sure that’s what you were talking about. I just started instacart which is me facing my biggest fear, the grocery stores. How do you handle it when something bad does happen? I just never want to leave again. It sets me right back.
try writing down in a journal when you have a struggle in one color and then in another color pen write how you wanna over come the struggle and stuff like that. then make a jar of goals and randomly choose

i had one allergic reaction in my life when i was like three. i have no allergies either or have been diagnosed with any allergies but still refuse to believe theirs nothing wrong with me. a few years ago i had myself convinced i had diabetes like i needed to have something wrong with me i never felt like i was just healthy
hey girly, so I have OCD so I've done a lot of reading/learning about it and a fear of having an allergic reaction even when you know its irrational is actually a category of the disorder so that part may not be anxiety! Just something you may want to look into so you can better deal with it. I know the struggle. Love you lots
a lot of people with severe anxiety have OCD traits but not the full disorder. I have anxiety and have been told I have a few traits of OCD but that I definitely don't have OCD itself. OCD is obviously an anxiety disorder too, so the overlap can be kinda blurry especially from a distance but you're right, it's always worth looking into if you notice some of your symptoms lining up with another disorder.

Try fried sushi!! Idk where all has them but fusabowl does. I dont like all the textures in sushi so it being fried helps me lol
