You really need two speakers, and play them outside well spaced apart, then you'll really appreciate just how good it sounds.

So.... The, 'Jam, Heavy Metal' Bluetooth speaker, has almost the exact same shape as this, 'Anker', and it has the same startup/shutdown sound. So what does that tell me? The same manufacturer. Problem with the jam, when I turn it on, the startup sound is at full volume and distorted. And if it's not in use, but still turned on, it will turn off with the same ultra loud sound. I cannot turn it down, or off and that's frustratingly annoying!

I've got the older version and next to the aux. input, there is a pinhole. Stick a pin in, and it will cycle through the different languages, or, the last one is simply chimes for events like power on, and Bluetooth connection.
