It would be nice if your railway would connect something, maybe some villages or tourist spots (camp sites, sight seeing spots etc.)..

What are you using for spikes? I can see its some sort of bolt, but can’t tell what kind.

The bolts are called screw spikes or possibly lag bolts. In the UK, they are called coach screws.
