In taking out 9th term from end.
Simply last the last term as 'a'and then,
an = 185 - (n-1)d.
an = 185 - (9-1)4.
an = 185 - (8)4.
an = 185 - 32.
an = 153.
So, you got your answer i.e. 9th term from end is 153.

The solution for the following problem could have been solved easily by using formula as I am showing here.....
Q. Find the 9th term from the end of AP 5,9,13,.....185.
Solution: L -(n - 1 )d.
185 - (8)4 =153 Ans.
