Hi Dave, Thks for sharing the video. We just got back 5 days ago travelling to 7 cities and 6 flights all on VN Airlines economy to VN- Japan and back to VN. I didn’t think much of the food except the fish was great and yes it’s like Premium food served. My husband didn’t like the pie ….served cold and no tomato sauce or any for that matter. He likes his bourbon but only thing closest was Chivas Regal , no other choices like Jim Beam or Jack Daniels. Our daughter was not keen on the food either. We got slippers too but the white ones. I agreed with their polite and friendly services. My husband said he thought they would be up there with Singapore , Thai or Cathay but unfortunately for him no. As for me , would I fly again , Yes. My hub will follow … haha. Btw other ppl have said to try VietJet next time , have you flown with them ?
Thanks for tsharing your experience Jenny and for watching my videos, I appreciate it 😇 I haven't flown Vietjet recently but I have had terrible experiences with them in terms fof flight delays. But I will withhold judgements until I have fully done a review. There are other review videos of Vietjet on UA-cam that you can see but for me, not being in an alliance is a big no for me
@jaytrg thank you for watching my video, I really appreciate it 😀😀i'm not certain about the angle. But I feel it's about twice as much as you normally get from economy.
This is the single greatest video I have had the pleasure to lay my eyes upon, though I can not be fully contempt until your profile picture is changed to the one I articulated for you.
Another great trip report Mr Do! First up, love your boots!! How many guests can you take into the Amex lounge? Shame the bubbles were in a paper cup🤨 The food looked OK, but paper cups etc, not good, more economy looking. It's interesting what different airlines offer in PE, sometimes more economy looking (like VN, but also surprisingly, SQ as well) where Air NZ offer business class meals in PE and actual crockery and glassware. The cabin always looked clean, which is always appreciated. We'll have to give VN a try one day. I must say your trip reports/vlogs are definitely improving each time, welldone!
Thank you James, I agree with you, I've yet to find a Premium Economy that's worth the tag 'Premium'. At this point, I'm pretty much paying to get more legroom and more seat width. On the upside, cannot deny the lovely service though. I read an article on Air NZ Premium Economy recently, what a way to cross the Tasman, hope to have the time to do it soon. FYI, you can bring 2 guests into the Amex lounge with a Platinum Card, supplementary card holders can also bring 2 guests.
Excellent trip report. I recently flew with them internationally, and I like that they have changed in positive ways, such as the menu with picture of each option in it. The paper cup was a bit let-down, except from that it looked pretty decent
Thank you! I agree with your assessment! I believe where they truly stand out is Economy. Nonetheless, my Business Class experience was outstanding. Video of which will be out very soon so please stay tuned 😊😊
Thank you for the review I've seen return flight London to manila for £1300 which I think is excellent price so looked your premium economy flight definitely for me there's 11 hour stopover but can book transit hotel appreciate your video
Hi Anthony, I'm sure you will have a comfortable journey from London. Just one thing that your flight from SGN to MNL is operated by narrowbody A321 without a Premium Economy product so you'll be seated in regular economy. Nonetheless, you'll get the same baggage allowance as Premium Economy and mile accumulation. 😊
Really well balanced review. I'm watching because I've booked a London to Melbourne flight Premium economy. This video has solidified my decision to change my regular carrier
Thank you! You'll have an amazing experience and comfortable journey. I did Syd-Cdg last year via Sgn and it was a great journey. Comfortable and felt rested even after 24 hours flying from Sydney to Paris
Hi Dave, great video ... thanks 😁 In my opinion PE is just not worth the cost, and since I cannot fit in economy (I am 6'8" tall) I travel in business. I'd love to see what Vietnam Airline business is like, cheers !!!
Hello Jenny, in the past I have seen offers of upgrading. But this depends on a number of factors but the main ones are availability and your fare class. I think only Economy Classic and above are upgradeable. Hope that helps 😄😄
Hi there, thank you for the comment, I really appreciate it 😃😎, I have tried the link, and it seems to work, could you try clicking on the link again? The link is in the video's description
Thanks Dave for the fast reply 😊, I’ve just tried copying & pasting your discount code again in both US & AUS website link in the description but isn’t working. I’ve taken a screenshot but not sure how to post it here.
David you have truly outdone yourself! This video cured every disease I had and had my brain pulsating with information, I know now if premium economy is worth it. Thank You!
@philip5899 Some are nicer than others. Some are wooden cladded. Some even have windows. Some have lots of amenities, some have none. Some are dirty, some are clean. It's part of the experience. So, not all are the same! P/s. Toilet and lavatory are often used interchangeably, especially in informal contexts. However, there are subtle differences in their usage: * Toilet: This is the most common term used in everyday language to refer to a room or fixture used for defecation and urination. * Lavatory: While also referring to a room or fixture for toileting, "lavatory" can sometimes imply a more formal or public setting, such as a restroom in a restaurant or building. It can also be used to describe the whole setting, as opposed to a single 'toilet'.
So impressive information delivery
Thanks for watching and I appreciate your feedback 😊
This is so amazing Mr Do, this gives me genuine feelings of joy for the first time since 1779 back when I was just a youngling. ❤
Thank you, you may have mistyped the year but appreciate that ☺️

Great review. Thanks for getting to the seat space and the recline in depth. What is the recline angle, if you remember?

Thank you!! I appreciate that 😄
Can you use the foot sling on the premium economy seat?
You can, the recline is about twice that of regular economy :D

Hi David, do you Vietnam airlines still offer an upgrade to your seating a week or 2 before you are due to fly out?

Hey dodo bird love the video.

Nice review Dave, the 10 % discount code for mantra isn’t working.

@@OZfromDownUnder hi there! My apology for that, I'll double check the link and let you know once it's fixed
i think the food in premium economy on this airline is the same as economy.
Yep, same food! Only bigger seats and larger seat pitch the main differences onboard.
Đẹp quá
