In Western Astrology I'm a Leo Rising and Leo Moon, but in Vedic Astrology I'm a Cancer Rising and Cancer Moon. I can resonate with both. I'm not a talkative Leo Rising and I'm more shy. However, secretly I do like the attention and when I see people wanting me to be more outgoing that is when I generally take the spotlight. When my brother got married I wore a red tie to his wedding and the photographer taking pictures called me "the governor." I was flattered by the compliment.
:) I would say the reason you connect so much with Cancer is because you're actually a first house moon. All first house moons are basically like Cancer risings. (But honestly, I can connect with my vedic chart too. I just feel it's missing certain personality elements that are all found in my tropical chart.)

YES! I am obsessed with the Nakshatras. That's really why I even got into Vedic. I would like to make videos about them, but honestly people flip out when Western astrologers try to talk about Vedic. They seriously freak. I made ONE Vedic video and people were so mad lol.
Its basically the same material told differently. Vedic just goes a little bit deeper. Its a fun study to look into. If you really want to do the video I would just do it.

This was fascinating thank you, I love the approach of using a famous person's chart to demonstrate. My ♏ sun plus a stellium are down in my 4th house in whole sign, and I have another stellium in my 5th, so I feel a bit of a mix of energies. I was definitely a big Leo rising as a young child however, very much a confident creative expressive kid, even with the occasional shyer quieter moments. I lost most of it before I hit my teens, but the way other people receive me and the way I dress (ironically wearing my one bright yellow jumper today and was multitasking doing my hair alongside this) is still noticeably Leo AC, so I guess it's something I might be able to redevelop/heal... :D *i tried for you, Leo* haha. I can definitely see there being a bit of a struggle with being a Scorpio stellium with that Leo ASC! Having both of those pockets of energy below the horizon also tells me that the need for privacy is emphasized--which is counterintuitive for the Leo rising who just. . . has a tendency to be seen. I think the real key here is finding a way (perhaps through social media?) where you can keep your "northern hemisphere" privacy while getting to shine your Leo light on the world.

Yes, I do not want to dress like other people but it is not over the top, very suble and different, This could be because my Leo Rising is 9 degrees Leo I think, so I am still shedding some Cancer Rising traits, plus, my Moon is Scorpio and Mars Virgo. That Scorpio calms down the Aquarius & Leo energies externally, but internally that Scorpio is not one to mess with.

Oh definitely, and especially because the Scorpio Moon would be opposing the Leo Ascendant. With oppositions, sometimes you totally project one of the energies out into the outside world and can't identify with it as your own.

I was born in an ascendant cusp between Leo and Virgo. But I am a Leo ascendant I can be dramatic and loud sometimes. Is there really something called ascendant cusps? But in Vedic I am a cancer ascendant idk lol I’m confused
We have 0 degrees and 29 degrees for a reason, Thanos! The only place I use cusps is houses. House energies are very blendy, so it's useful there to call something being on the cusp of two houses. However, the Ascendant is a very specific point in every chart. It starts your entire chart and is based on your exact time of birth. So you're a 29 degree Virgo rising? or a 0 degree Leo rising? If you think about the qualities that describe your daily personality, that should match with your ascendant--but also look at planets in your first house which can and do modify it. (As for Vedic, that's another system. I don't use it very heavily, but I suggest you begin studying the tropical chart and get familiar before moving to vedic.)

Drake is in the 29th degree Leo ascendant and I am in the 28th degree Leo ascendant. And I think that means that me and and drake carry Virgo ascendant traits and also Leo ascendant traits I believe. Puro Astrology i have this problem i have Virgo in my first house in Jupiter I’m very critical of myself and nervous yet want to come off as confident because of my Leo rising. It’s a fight between both i love living for attention but I’m also nervous to get stares at people. I do come off as bright people see me as bright but bc of Virgo in the first house also it makes me super self critical and can come off as cold sometimes and shy .

Leo Rising and Cap Sun, and similar here, though wouldn't say "really", but more moderately. I've been into astrology for a really long time, and increasingly I've focused more on Planetary energies over Sign though, especially strongest Planets. For example, my top 3 are Jupiter, Neptune, and Uranus in that order, with Venus and Mercury pretty strong too.
When you have a 12th house Sun, you don't get to easily "fully express" its light, in a sense. There might be elements of Cancer behavior that you don't get to have.
I'm a Leo rising but I don't always feel like I relate to it. I think it's a late degree. Then I have Chiron in Leo in my 12th, and I have Venus and Jupiter in Virgo in my 1st house and a Cancer South Node. But Leo rising horoscopes tend to be very accurate for me event wise. It's just I don't always feel I match up to the Leo rising characteristics
If you go by whole sign, which I most often do, then you have that Chiron in the 1st, and then Venus and Jupiter (a QUITE STRONG combo) in Virgo in the 2nd. How old are you, Dominique? When I was younger, I really was such a little Virgo South Node. It was before I got slapped metaphorically in the face for being such a rude Virgo SO MANY TIMES and finally moved into the Pisces North Node. And there was a big shift. I forgot your Sun. I feel Virgo because I am not the outgoing but then again I’m my own critic. The only thing about Vedic astrology i don’t understand is why they want to know the precise second that you were born. I only know the hour and minute. Although I do yearn to get be on center stage but I understand that I can’t because having Aquarius north node. I also wonder why their could be books that show the mixture of both north node sign with house I only found one website that shows the mixture in both sorry from one topic to another.
You do sound quite Virgo in your details! I feel that for something to cross over between both styles (vedic and western) you have to have repeating themes or patterns in the charts. Maybe there's some deeper spiritual reason why we might have this, but I don't know the answer to that quite yet. I'm actually just now going to begin studying Vedic, so hopefully soon I can share some of that on here. And yeah, the NN/SN information out there is very. . . modern astrology. It just seems like they use signs/houses interchangeably and that's not very useful. I have to get a firmer grasp of the NN in order to speak more on it. Like, I know the dimensions of it in the houses and signs--but I really want to understand how it ends up working out. My friend is actually making a series about this :). Tooba Mahmood in western astrology we don’t base ourselves on the constellations. We base ourselves on the planets and their trajectory through the ecliptic-the path of the sun. I appreciate both systems, as they’ve both given me useful information. I got a very accurate Vedic reading recently that made me sign up for a course in Vedic. Nonetheless, I appreciate any system that works. To quote my favorite Western astrologer, Robert Hand: “Which is truer, French or German?” That’s the sagittarian view that I take-always philosophical and grounded in a global perspective.
If my Leo rising is only at 3 degrees in my birth chart, is it possible that I'm actually cancer rising? I feel like Leo's sound very self-assured, confident and bold, but I'm much more reserved and quiet infront of people I don't know really well. Danielle it’s VERY possible, Danielle! Have you read about the cancer ascendant or watched any videos about it? I actually always ask people if they identify with their rising before doing any reading. Sometimes our birth times are just a little off, because of the way they were documented. With a Leo rising, you would have a 6th house Capricorn sun-even more work oriented, less glory for the Leo sun. With a Cancer rising, youd have a 7th house sun-which certainly would make you very agreeable and more relationship oriented.

I'm VERY receptive to the emotional energy in my environment. I love to help people when I can but tend to withdraw a lot because I am very sensitive. It's interesting because I have 4 planets and my sun in Capricorn, and although I can be practical and orderly, I've always had a strong idealistic and emotional streak, which seems to contradict many Capricorn traits. If my rising sign is Cancer and the moon is my ruling planet, I guess it would explain why I feel so connected to my Pisces moon. My north node is also in Pisces. Leo rising here and I’m also very introverted in most situations. A lot of Leo risings I’ve talked to about this are also the same way! A Leo rising doesn’t necessary guarantee an outgoing personality, but more of a hyper self-consciousness of the way people are seeing you (like a person on a stage), which causes a lot of Leo risings to have much quieter, shyer, or even sometimes socially anxious personalities

Tropically i'm a leo rising, pisces sun, aquarius moon... cancer in 12th house.. but in verdict i'm cancer rising, aquarius sun, capricorn moon, gemini in the 12th house.. I been thinking so much about in relation to celebreties, cause I guess Tyler would shift in the same way I do. I definitely have! I think about it a lot lately! What I notice from my chart is that the really defining traits are shared between both charts. One that stands out to me is how in tropical I have Mars (Aries) square Neptune (Cap)--and this becomes Mars in Pisces in Vedic! My Sagittarius stellium becomes a Sagittarius rising. etc, etc. I think if you're going to use Vedic, you should definitely compare it to tropical and see what stands out as true for you--and look for it repeating in both, as you have. (Is your 12th house empty? If it's empty, then don't focus too much on it, but more on your personal planets and any aspects to them by the outer planets in tropical, to see if this modifies the meaning of them for you in a way that resonates with the vedic chart.)

But yea when I compare, my pisces stellium (sun, mars, venus, saturn) is swapped to a pisces midheaven, aquarian sun sextile neptune, and venus stays in pisces and moves into the 8th house which provides this psychic dive into the unknown thing I got going on inside I guess haha

Same here! It’s because our Big 3 signs form a T-square, which mitigates some of the otherwise carefree and extroverted expression of our Leo rising. Having both of those pockets of energy below the horizon also tells me that the need for privacy is emphasized--which is counterintuitive for the Leo rising who just. . . has a tendency to be seen. I think the real key here is finding a way (perhaps through social media?) where you can keep your "northern hemisphere" privacy while getting to shine your Leo light on the world.

Yes, I do not want to dress like other people but it is not over the top, very suble and different, This could be because my Leo Rising is 9 degrees Leo I think, so I am still shedding some Cancer Rising traits, plus, my Moon is Scorpio and Mars Virgo. That Scorpio calms down the Aquarius & Leo energies externally, but internally that Scorpio is not one to mess with.

Oh definitely, and especially because the Scorpio Moon would be opposing the Leo Ascendant. With oppositions, sometimes you totally project one of the energies out into the outside world and can't identify with it as your own.

I was born in an ascendant cusp between Leo and Virgo. But I am a Leo ascendant I can be dramatic and loud sometimes. Is there really something called ascendant cusps? But in Vedic I am a cancer ascendant idk lol I’m confused
We have 0 degrees and 29 degrees for a reason, Thanos! The only place I use cusps is houses. House energies are very blendy, so it's useful there to call something being on the cusp of two houses. However, the Ascendant is a very specific point in every chart. It starts your entire chart and is based on your exact time of birth. So you're a 29 degree Virgo rising? or a 0 degree Leo rising? If you think about the qualities that describe your daily personality, that should match with your ascendant--but also look at planets in your first house which can and do modify it. (As for Vedic, that's another system. I don't use it very heavily, but I suggest you begin studying the tropical chart and get familiar before moving to vedic.)

Drake is in the 29th degree Leo ascendant and I am in the 28th degree Leo ascendant. And I think that means that me and and drake carry Virgo ascendant traits and also Leo ascendant traits I believe. Puro Astrology i have this problem i have Virgo in my first house in Jupiter I’m very critical of myself and nervous yet want to come off as confident because of my Leo rising. It’s a fight between both i love living for attention but I’m also nervous to get stares at people. I do come off as bright people see me as bright but bc of Virgo in the first house also it makes me super self critical and can come off as cold sometimes and shy .

Leo Rising and Cap Sun, and similar here, though wouldn't say "really", but more moderately. I've been into astrology for a really long time, and increasingly I've focused more on Planetary energies over Sign though, especially strongest Planets. For example, my top 3 are Jupiter, Neptune, and Uranus in that order, with Venus and Mercury pretty strong too.

When you have a 12th house Sun, you don't get to easily "fully express" its light, in a sense. There might be elements of Cancer behavior that you don't get to have.
I'm a Leo rising but I don't always feel like I relate to it. I think it's a late degree. Then I have Chiron in Leo in my 12th, and I have Venus and Jupiter in Virgo in my 1st house and a Cancer South Node. But Leo rising horoscopes tend to be very accurate for me event wise. It's just I don't always feel I match up to the Leo rising characteristics
If you go by whole sign, which I most often do, then you have that Chiron in the 1st, and then Venus and Jupiter (a QUITE STRONG combo) in Virgo in the 2nd. How old are you, Dominique? When I was younger, I really was such a little Virgo South Node. It was before I got slapped metaphorically in the face for being such a rude Virgo SO MANY TIMES and finally moved into the Pisces North Node. And there was a big shift. I forgot your Sun. I feel Virgo because I am not the outgoing but then again I’m my own critic. The only thing about Vedic astrology i don’t understand is why they want to know the precise second that you were born. I only know the hour and minute. Although I do yearn to get be on center stage but I understand that I can’t because having Aquarius north node. I also wonder why their could be books that show the mixture of both north node sign with house I only found one website that shows the mixture in both sorry from one topic to another.
You do sound quite Virgo in your details! I feel that for something to cross over between both styles (vedic and western) you have to have repeating themes or patterns in the charts. Maybe there's some deeper spiritual reason why we might have this, but I don't know the answer to that quite yet. I'm actually just now going to begin studying Vedic, so hopefully soon I can share some of that on here.
And yeah, the NN/SN information out there is very. . . modern astrology. It just seems like they use signs/houses interchangeably and that's not very useful. I have to get a firmer grasp of the NN in order to speak more on it. Like, I know the dimensions of it in the houses and signs--but I really want to understand how it ends up working out. Tooba Mahmood in western astrology we don’t base ourselves on the constellations. We base ourselves on the planets and their trajectory through the ecliptic-the path of the sun. I appreciate both systems, as they’ve both given me useful information. I got a very accurate Vedic reading recently that made me sign up for a course in Vedic. Nonetheless, I appreciate any system that works. To quote my favorite Western astrologer, Robert Hand: “Which is truer, French or German?” That’s the sagittarian view that I take-always philosophical and grounded in a global perspective.

Danielle it’s VERY possible, Danielle! Have you read about the cancer ascendant or watched any videos about it? I actually always ask people if they identify with their rising before doing any reading. Sometimes our birth times are just a little off, because of the way they were documented. With a Leo rising, you would have a 6th house Capricorn sun-even more work oriented, less glory for the Leo sun. With a Cancer rising, youd have a 7th house sun-which certainly would make you very agreeable and more relationship oriented.

I'm VERY receptive to the emotional energy in my environment. I love to help people when I can but tend to withdraw a lot because I am very sensitive.
It's interesting because I have 4 planets and my sun in Capricorn, and although I can be practical and orderly, I've always had a strong idealistic and emotional streak, which seems to contradict many Capricorn traits. If my rising sign is Cancer and the moon is my ruling planet, I guess it would explain why I feel so connected to my Pisces moon. My north node is also in Pisces.

Leo rising here and I’m also very introverted in most situations. A lot of Leo risings I’ve talked to about this are also the same way! A Leo rising doesn’t necessary guarantee an outgoing personality, but more of a hyper self-consciousness of the way people are seeing you (like a person on a stage), which causes a lot of Leo risings to have much quieter, shyer, or even sometimes socially anxious personalities

What are your thoughts on verdict astrology vs. tropical? Tropically i'm a leo rising, pisces sun, aquarius moon... cancer in 12th house.. but in verdict i'm cancer rising, aquarius sun, capricorn moon, gemini in the 12th house.. I been thinking so much about in relation to celebreties, cause I guess Tyler would shift in the same way I do. So we would get our uniqueness from aquarius and 12th house energy from our cancer rising. but stil,, it's so different though. Have you given it any thought?
I definitely have! I think about it a lot lately! What I notice from my chart is that the really defining traits are shared between both charts. One that stands out to me is how in tropical I have Mars (Aries) square Neptune (Cap)--and this becomes Mars in Pisces in Vedic! My Sagittarius stellium becomes a Sagittarius rising. etc, etc. I think if you're going to use Vedic, you should definitely compare it to tropical and see what stands out as true for you--and look for it repeating in both, as you have. (Is your 12th house empty? If it's empty, then don't focus too much on it, but more on your personal planets and any aspects to them by the outer planets in tropical, to see if this modifies the meaning of them for you in a way that resonates with the vedic chart.)

But yea when I compare, my pisces stellium (sun, mars, venus, saturn) is swapped to a pisces midheaven, aquarian sun sextile neptune, and venus stays in pisces and moves into the 8th house which provides this psychic dive into the unknown thing I got going on inside I guess haha

Same here! It’s because our Big 3 signs form a T-square, which mitigates some of the otherwise carefree and extroverted expression of our Leo rising. Being a shy Leo rising is the equivalent of throwing a naturally reserved person on a stage and expecting them to perform, which is where the hyper self-consciousness and social anxiety stems from
