If you aren't hearing massive clipping in this video, your headphones aren't all that. I captured this video, converted the audio to a lossless WAV file and opened in Audacity. The red shows the clipping that you should be able to hear as distortion. just got my sony xb-1000 but it feels and sounds too underpowered in bass in noisy places. so I am looking to get ex 1000 or xba-4sl, which one do you think has better low bass response? till then I am back to my ex60lp. also what about akg k181 dj, those go 120 db 3.5 watt and min 5 hz response, are those better then both sonys? thanks

First of all, this isn't your Bass test. Its Sandeep Luthra's Song, also your switching up the Hz rapidly on the song that makes it sound different. If i were you i wouldn't copy someones else's song.
No, they are just better, beats should be 20$, not 200$, price doesn't mean anything, i had a pair of beats, and they were horrible, so bad, that i returned them because i thought they were broken, then got new ones, but to my surprise, NOPE.avi, they just suck.

beats studio's have great bass. solo's on the other hand, not so much. sony xb 500+ have great bass. and so do skull candy titan earbuds (good bass for earbuds). and skull candy skull crushers.
