Although, I will say, even at her most progressive, she wasn't very progressive and to me personally, her mask has always been half on. She never seemed to have true convictions, more of an empty shell after power. I at least can't say those same things about Fetterman, I guess he's a better actor. Anyhow, he needs to be primaried by a real progressive.
Not saying you're wrong but by definition, it'd be damn near impossible to remain progressive for the entirety of your life. It's almost always just a phase.

Yup on the TBI. Tons of studies and stories of people turning into horrible people afterwards and their lives start to crumble as people won't take care of their aggression and hate.

Note one important thing: Fetterman's position on Israel & Palestine did *_not_* come about from his brain damage. He was already bad on this issue before. It came up during the campaign, and those of us who knew about it held our noses and supported him anyway because A) the contrast between him and "Dr." Oz seemed open-and-shut on so many other important issues; and B) of course we had no idea that Israel/Palestine would blow up this way, making Fetterman's bad position come to the fore. I am pretty sure that if you look through Mike's videos from back during the campaign, you will find one about Fetterman's bad take on this issue.

It seems like Bill Maher has been auditioning for Israel state media at least a decade now. Did his politically incorrect show get shut down because he wasn't sufficiently pro-Israel, he learned his lesson and nowhe's going overboard in his support for Israel?
Yes, there are studies that literally correlate brain damage, and poor functioning of certain brain structures, with conservative politics. So, this is WILD, but makes sense. And he can't see what's going on with himself.

Yes. There's evidence that switching away from leaded gasoline has lead to a drop in conservatism "as people age". The theory is that after years of exposure the brain gets damaged and you act more conservative which lines up with the old saying that "you become more conservative as you age" not lining up as well as it did in the past 30 years.

Also, I was under the impression that John believed he was a progressive and it's us who aren't the real progressives.
I thought he believed he was correct and supporting Israel is just as progressive as being against a Nazi's anti-semitism.
I assumed he viewed people like me the same way I view people "on the left" who support Russia over Ukraine (or Israel slaughtering Palestinians).
There are plenty of people "on the left" who would say I'm not a real progressive, I'm a fake leftist, etc. for some of my opinions. Some of the more reasonable ones might stick to just arguing my positions aren't actually progressive...like what we've been arguing when it comes to people like John Fetterman.

I nearly died twice 2 and a half years ago. I nearly died from DKA and separately, a black mold infection in my left sinus. It did have a profound emotional (and physical) effect on me. It still does. It didn't change my morals or political beliefs.
