- After Monday's controlled demolition of the piece of steel lying across the Dali, officials expected to refloat the ship about two days later.
That time has come and gone. The complicated work is taking longer than anticipated.
Newly released video from the Unified Command, which you can watch in the clip above, shows crews on board the Dali as they continue clearing the wreckage.

From what I have observed , next week sounds like a big Maybe.
Definitely agree... A big maybe.
Especially with our weather here in Baltimore. It's raining and a bit muggy out. It's definitely going to effect it.
Just glad they recovered all 6 construction workers and they could be properly laid to rest!
This such a dangerous job. Hoping that no injuries is sustained by any of the demo iron workers.
Didn’t realize the Dali had sunk
I hope that they have a lot of very powerful tugs available
The team haves ..Very Heavy Toys..
Salvage door Dali.
Dali should be not a ship but a weapon cuz how many times is that boat been in accident and was not in service cuz of the last time wonder why!!!!
Great news for her!!!!🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️
Where does the ship go after you free it???
Shirley..
Yay. That's awful thinking that's been there for 45 days
What do you mean refloated ???????.......I didn't know it sank..what a poor choice of words
LMAO...so you want to make sure the crew of the Dali have proper paperwork......I think the people on the Southern Border might find that amusing.
Impound the ship and seize the cargo.
Sure..and the Insurance ants will crawling About the Numbers..
There are laws in this country in case that has slipped your radar.
How about building a tunnel instead a bridge
There already is a tunnel. They do not allow transporting hazardous materials through a tunnel so they will build a new bridge
Who's gonna pay for that? You?
@@seeharvesterWe, assuming you are an American, will pay the initial costs while we pursue legal action to recoup it.
And I support that.
@@alexn5743
A tunnel costs 10x that of a bridge, which would not be recouped from the party at fault, because they are only responsible for the cost of the bridge.
But as the other gentleman stated, it is a hazardous materials route, so it has to be a bridge.
Either way, I'm sure the taxpayer is going to get reamed, so bend over and lube up.
Unless you like it dry.
@@seeharvester my apologies for the ambiguity, I am in support of building a bridge, I misunderstood your comment as "who's going to pay for [the bridge]" when read sequentially from the prior comment.
HOW THE HELL IS THIS STILL NOT DONE ???? WHO IS KICKING THE DOG ???? YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN 1!!!!!!!!!!
GO TELL THEM HOW TO DO IT!
No I do not know what you mean. I do know you are way too immersed in conspiracy theories.
@@dougdiplacido2406 O.K. so how does that explain the slow progress ???
They will drag it out as long as they can Fed's are paying. The excuse's never end. First it was working 24/7 to get it done ASAP now it is maybe next week. Ship full of containers that could have been removed over the last 50 days.
Do you care to elaborate how Weeks Marine, with one of the biggest cranes, was unable to unload the whole ship on your timeline?
Asking for my colleagues at Weeks Marine.
Yea man can’t imagine why they’re taking their time and planning when they have genius commenters coming up with plans like “hurry up” and “get a move on”
Still screwing the pooch, and milking this fiasco at taxpayers expense. Total joke👎👎
Should have got the world’s best involved, the Dutch
It’s still there? Oh that’s right they said Friday they just didn’t say what year.📅🚢❔
