We are doing the Spanish roja this year too, as part of trialling a bunch of new varieties. It is going to be super interesting seeing how they go on opposite sides of the country! Our head and clove size looks quite similar to what you got.
Well done. It’s looking so good for just 3 weeks in. I think this year you will have a bumper crop. It thrives on manure (heavy feeders) and don’t let it have any competition in the beds (including weeds). 🤞
@@ROCKPILEOffgridHomestead no idea, that’s when I grow my tomatoes up here lol. Your shadehouse may protect them from the frost, they probably won’t produce anything, but as soon as the weather warms up, bam, you should get early fruit.
Heya, we wanted defined varieties grown in WA and really didn’t have a lot to choose from tbh… not like over east and you can’t ship garlic in from over east from many places. The certified organic was a bonus! In our semi arid winter climate most garlic would do well and the soft neck varieties have a longer shelf life 👍

Mum gave me some garlic last year. It started sprouting so I've planted them and they're going great guns.
