  • I Saved the World with Global Warming! - Planet Crafter
Planet Crafter gameplay! We've landed on an alien planet and have to terraform it into a lush green paradise that's habitable to humans. Today we cause so much global warming it melts glaciers and all the water start forming lakes across the planet. Was flooding the planet a good idea though...? Maybe!

Some interesting information for the nerds out there:
The oxygen content in planet crafter is written in “parts per billion” (ppb) which is far less than parts per million (ppm). Earth stands at around 200,000 ppm for O2
The heat is in microKelvin, which is a million times smaller than regular kelvin. Earth sits at around 288 Kelvin.
The pressure is measures in micro pascals, which is also a million times smaller than a regular pascal. Earth’s pressure is about 101325 pascals.
Pretty ludicrous to think about, but he’s got a long way to go before the planet can be comparable to Earth

    • @beguilingfire
      @beguilingfire 2 роки тому +2

Earth stands at around 200,000 ppm or 20% of O2, not 400 ppm.

    • @schitzree
      @schitzree 2 роки тому +1

400ppm is the earth's CO2 level, aka 0.04% Oxygen is around 21% of the atmosphere, or 210,000ppm.

While I would tend to agree, it's expensive when it comes to making the explosive powder. As the sulfur is one of the hardest materials to find naturally laying on the ground. I'm about to populate the sulfur biome with mining drills. It's getting a bit frustrating just foraging for sulfur where I'm at.

    • @Thetealeaf1984

T2 nuclear reactors are a lot better then T1s in terms of the amount of super alloy they need
From the other comments it is a VERY GOOD idea to build pre extractors
BUILD THE PROGRESS SCREEN OR JUST WHAT EVER SCREEN YOU HAVE NOT BUILT YET!!!!!!

You might wish to put down a processing factory at each major resource location to make rods and carry back half an inventory of rods and half basic at a time (Or, if you have the recycling machine at your base, a full inventory of rods. Note: The shredder machine is NOT a crafting device. The shredder machine will NOT help you make pretty paper mache piñatas to hang around your base. I was very disappointed). Until you get T2 extractors, discovering where aluminum is mined is a good start. Everything you need to craft super alloy can be mined from four to six or so T1 aluminum extractors. Until you get T2 extractors, you might also wish to save enough uranium each time you send up a uranium rocket (It's the rocket that requires 3 cobalt, a rocket engine, and... one super alloy...?... I think?). Also a quick tooltip: Super Alloy, Uranium, Osmium= rare mineral/ T2 extractors. Iridium, Aluminum, and Sulfur= uncommon T1 extractors, special locations. Everything else like Iron, Titanium, Cobalt, Silicon, Magnesium= common tier 1 extractors, anywhere on the map you can just plop an extractor down so long as there isn't water.

That area you thought didn't have anything of interest? GO BACK THERE!!! You missed something. Not sure how you missed it tbh, but it's there. Waiting to be discovered. So what are you waiting for, GO BACK! :-p

Tear down those uranium reactors and build the T2 version. for 3 rods you will get almost 4 reactors energy!
Also when you said the endgame terraformation index needs 600x more you didn't see the prefix of that amount. You tought it is 571MTi but it was 571GTi which is nearly 200000 more than you have now. :D

My God... build that F Progress Screen finally xD and you should deconstruct T1 reactors and build just T2... You will get back 11 of supper alloy, tons of water, it takes less space and give more power so why would you even think about using T1 reactors xD (btw you can make infinire resources with ore extractor and you can make rain uranium with rocket as many times you want xD)

When you can not yet build the T2 miner to get super alloy easily you can build a few T1 in the alu biome along with a t2 crafting station and make some SA right then and there, saving you a lot of hauling.
Also, iridium can be mined with a T1 miner in the iridium cave. Again build some miners and a T2 crafting station to reduce them to rods, you'll need tons of them for rockets.
Speaking of rockets, the 1000% bonus is additive, not multiplicative. Say you have a baseline production of 10 and you send up 3 rockets you get a bonus of 3000% to that, so 300.
But you can stack the boni as high as you want, there seems to be no cap yet.
BTW in general, if you can build something T2, you can tear down and recover the resources of T1 and so on. The jump in performance is so huge that the older stuff is just a waste of space and performance.
Oh and before i forget, the miners actually produce a decent amount of heat and pressure, so they are a viable alternative to at least the drills, and you can save on some heaters too.
All resources are minable except Zeolite. you need T2 only for Uranium, Osmium and Super Alloy. Yet i recommend T2 all the way as soon as possible for above mentioned reasons.

21:00 No, building multiple GPS rockets will not expand the map screen or its functionality. You can build the T1 if you want access to the map a little bit earlier... or just wait for the T2 to get the full-size map. Or you can build the T2 after already having a T1 in orbit and it essentially overwrites the T1's effects. Point is - extra rockets will not improve the map. Maybe that will be a feature they'll add later in development, maybe not?
The T1 GPS rocket will show you a smaller section of the map than the T2 GPS rocket, but both versions will allow you to build a map screen ANYWHERE in the world and link to the satellite. Unlike the Comms antenna which needs to be built nearby where you want to put the email screen.
But it still doesn't show "the entire world" on the map screen. Depending where you build the screen, it will show a different section of the world. Your current location will be at the center of the map, and it will show you everything within range of there... unless you build your map screen too close to the edge of the map, in which case your current location might not be exactly in the center of the map.

Your Main base is just safely above the Max Lake water level.
So there are a few small abandoned/dead underground bases to explore, so watch for little "Ladders" sticking out of the ground. I think I found 5, most were small ones hidden around hidden rock corners. And one medium one in that Blue Rocky biome area you found, with a couple of above ground compartments too. Screens with angry story line in his underground base.
Second, build GPS Screens in other areas to see above "Live" view of the map area. It is based on where your screen is sitting when you look at it. It really is live, you can watch the storms and meteors, falling on it.

The Map shows about 1/6 of the world centered on where the map screen was built. Build it in another base/location to see more. Also the last research item (fusion energy cell) is at 578000 MTi (578 GTi) so that will take a minute as you are at 74 MTi.

Hey kibs, to answer the gps question, launching t1 will do nothing if you've launched t2.
Also, rockets are pretty important late game for really boosting production, and the game doesn't tell you until waaaaayyyy too late that placing ore extractors in specific areas makes them target different resources, including super alloy and osmium for example with t2 ore extractors.

Milestone display screen shows what you're actually progressing to (such as clouds, rain, and lakes, which you already have but would've shown)
You can also launch multiple of the satelites that call down a uranium/iridium meteor storm for stacking bonus'

Why not deconstruct the other nuclear plants into the tier twos? It was already decided that T2 plants produce a significant amount more than T1s, while only requiring about 3x the materials, which you have available in your lower level ones.

To store bulk Uranium, and Iridium, process it directly into bars. Just remember to leave some raw uranium and iridium for specific builds. Even if you won't need many of them in the late game. It's always good to keep raw around as well.

The world is actually bigger than that - the GPS satellites don't give you a huge radius around your base - you can build more satellites in diff places, but the satellite map isn't super useful except awesome to watch meteors strike with.

@ImKibitz, One idea you might be able to do to not completely destroy your base is to build some more floors upwards and make platforms to the top floor, put a door up there and destroy all your ground floor doors. That might prevent flooding but most of your base would be underwater.
