From my perspective the problem with this is that you're still just focused on what you want, all you're adding is a slightly different set of tactics without looking at your underlying goals. As a man I want a women who is at least partially interested in what I want and need; reciprocity, quid pro quo, commonality of shared interests and needs however you want to phrase it just try to remember you're not the only one in the room.
This wasn't about what women want as much as how we need to reframe what we're seeing at our age and to realize that this is just reality: We're all much older than we feel or think we are! When I decided to look at dating after my husband passed I was shocked by realizing the men my age looked older than I thought. That was not what this discussion was about. The truth is, any woman worth her salt sees a man way beyond the exterior. In my fifties, I was dating four guys. Simultaneously. Honest with all that there was no commitment, that we were FWB's, not significant others.
