    Martellus is fascinating. He has a beautiful mind and he's actually putting words to action and trying to change the world. Great interview guys...this was one of those shows where you didn't have to ask to many questions you can just let Martellus do his thing.

    He has such intellectual mind and introspective thought process. He brought so many things that captivated the mind, the hosts barely said anything. I think they asked 4 questions. He carried the conversation 98% of the time.

    This man opened my eyes to so much. I’m a school leader and he has me fundamentally rethinking about the learning experiences I want to create and the school I ultimately wish to build. Thank you Pivot for letting him speak and thank you Martellus. This bought tears to my eyes.

    This is why I love The Pivot. If it weren't for them I probably would have never known about Martellus and I love the way he thinks. Hopefully whoever watches this takes some of what he talked about and makes this world a better place. I'll be going down a rabbit hole learning more about Martellus. As always, great job guys and keep introducing us to new people and showing us the other sides of people we don't know.

    This was POWERFUL. I cried listening to this Brother. WOW!!! Creativity and using your Imagination through Self Expression in the inner city can get you killed. Yet it’s those things that Set You FREE . This was a Master Class for Brothers like me that are Fearless to be Authentic. Thank You for the confirmation Martellus and Pivot for the platform for us to return to having fun instead of arguing killing and destroying each other.

    Man! One of the best interviews I’ve ever seen. I love his respect for knowledge & the arts. We need to have more examples like Martellus,exalted for their THINKING rather than Athletisim. This was a truly refreshing interview.
    He’s right on point when he said the League doesn’t want an intelligent Brotha. That can equally be said of this world we live in. Let’s educate our children!

    I appreciate this. I was in band in high school. Didn’t play basketball or football. Could’ve definitely been on the teams. I’ve been to art shows, New York fashion week, nutcracker, and a bunch of ballets.

    When he talked about his father with the break-aways, him callin plays and when he QUIT the team......maaaan I HOLLERED!!!🤣🤣 That tickled the hell outta me!! I know folks were lookin at me in traffic like I was crazy!😂😂
    OAN, this was a very interesting conversation. Martellus is very intriguing...his outlook on various aspects are quite interesting. And the way Fred and RC summed it up in the wrap-up....definitely different, but these conversations are what make the show as good and great as it is.💪🏾

    Every time I tune in to Pivot I'm thinking I've heard the best pivots and then you guys come through! This was the best pivot! His Joy, his knowledge, his childish dreams, him tapping into Humanity the way God see us as children learning discovery building designing was a beautiful thing to see in a human and the knowledge base was on real! I just want to find him and learn all on can about you I could sit for hours and listen to him talk! I'm 66 years old and I'm saddened by the fact that I have lost and left and that experience any life

    This was such a powerful episode. I enjoyed the openness and willingness to share critical thinking. One think that stood out the most was the barber shop scenario. About the “boy who dropped 30, and the boy that one the science fair”. His genius doesn’t outplay the other boy’s genius.

    Loved this interview - what a lovely human being. Can totally understand how some people may not like his strength and intelligence. Keep at it.
