no it wasn't it was acc kinda sad watching Michael from my wife and kids go to shitty comedy can tell crowd didn't like it was kinda awkward lol that's why he don't like camras coz people see it he blew lol
The way he compared life to a roller coaster was amazing, pure genius! So stop bitchin about '' this is not funny '' that's why i love comedy they give u laughs and the truth at the same time, comedy is philosophy too not just funny ass jokes... Also it's just a fast presentation.. the best material he must have saved for long presentations..
so you're saying he's a master at mediocre material? awesome. can't wait to use that somewhere. "Hey, Sarah, you're cooking was fucking terrible. But I ain't gonna lie, you're a master at what you do!! ;)"
Elijah Solomon i am saying hes a master in the delivery and the subtleties. It makes it a pleasure to watch him perform even if the jokes themsleves are imo pretty average.
Hes a master at fuck all. All the money& fame went to his head & took the hood out of this dude. The hoods what made him.funny. he's just not funny anymore lol
This was made for an older audience but it's also supposed to provoke thought in the younger generation to live your life and make better decisions so there's no regrets. The older u get the more you're able to appreciate the truth in his comedy.
It was more a funny lesson on life than a standard stand up sketch. I'm not sure why people are hating on this it was rather funny/educational. I even liked it before watching it, he's a class act totally loved him in 'my wife and kids'.
What a heartfelt storytelling... Not really a stand up per se, but really enjoyable. I felt like, Im in his livingroom and he is telling these stories about his grandchildren... And about 'life'. There's an authenticity. And I love it. I've been a Damon Wayans fans since 'The Living Color' days.
first stuff about the grandkids I can leave, but the coaster was great. good to see Damon back. between him and Jim Carrey on In Living Color together, they are responsible for A LOT of my childhood laughs...hope to see some more of this.
Got mad respect for him and his family. Was doing a show and was about to get bumped by him and he let me still get my stage time and I had a great set.
AriAnni13 deadass tho this shit is so real it depressing but hilarious bc it’s real life shii especially that 21 to 30 as soon as you get through that first hoop and ya student loans still following to ass😭
I don't get how people expect him to do Homey all his life. He's experienced life and he's changed as a comedian because of it. It's not bad, he's just not the comedian for everyone. His material was done perfect for him. Good work.
Some people have different senses of humor, if you don't like it, you don't like it, those who do or don't like it don't need to harass those who think the opposite.
I actually think it's quite sad, bro... And I laugh easily at all kinds of humour. It's quite true, what he says, we waste our whole lifes paying bills and expending our sweated money worrying about what's next, instead of having some healthy level of worry about what's now.
well he told it through humour. I guess he wanted to show how life is through some jokes. Nothing is so dark. One of the things I caught is his subliminal way of saying how life flashes away real fast. I guess it's true. But I did laugh. And that fart referrence got me crying of laughter. Seriously,it's funny.
Matt Hew People usually watch something funny to escape from "life".. I don't want to watch a comedy show that reminds me of how shitty life is, and he has no sense of humor to make it up like other comedians
That last bit about life was great... Give the man I break, beyond the fact he has been a staple in comedy for decades and is very talented, This was classy for his place in time and comedy. A little rusty, maybe. None less the joy of seeing him back on TV. Haters hate on.
I am a huge fan! From In Living Color to many colorful films such as Blank Man and Mo' Money Mo' Problems to only name a few. Damon Wayans is an epic performer and writer. It is great to see him back in the light. It sure would be nice to see him and the ILC cast come together for a reunion season or two. Possibly even pass the torches! Much love and respect DW!
If you see him in person he’s a lot funnier. You can tell that he had to rush his material to fit the time slot. I seen these jokes in person and it’s way funnier when he’s able to take his time. #ComedyLegend #ComedicGenius
Watch his old stand up from the 80's and early 90's, he killed it on those back then! I know Damon was sick for alittle while and he hasn't done stand up for some time. It happens with everybody!
One Of The Best Stand Ups...Basically Lighting Shed On Life And Having Fun With It. Its Pretty Touching As Well Because It Makes Us Think About Our Own Lives... And That Folks Is How You Mind Fuck The Whole Audience. Standing Ovation Mr Wayans
so much truth lol. Except I was divorced at 24 and now happily married at 30 with 4 kids that drive me up the wall. But at the end of the day, when they're all asleep, I just look at them and tell myself I couldn't live without them.
"And you still got student loans" 😆😆😆
Mr. Damon Wayans is an excellent storyteller and stand up legend
Those student loans are Faithful, especially the federal ones! 😂
Yall gotta remember that this is Television so he gotta keep his jokes PG!!
axftyh not only is it national TV, its FN NBC.
So??? He hasnt been funny since the 90s dude

Simplistic mild humor at best
+Robert Sambello Well you would know about being a "bitch"...
+October3074 getting old is hard you look at all the young folks wishing you were still that age but thankful you made it this far in life
That rollercoaster-life bit was real quality humour.
"And then they give you a picture when you was 21." Deep stuff.
Never take a day for granted. Live your life to the fullest and enjoy the ride.
Wisdom4Life LoveIsTheWay Those are true words of wisdom
Yea, that last line was the deepest..
That was his heart talking.
God help us on this journey
He's the funniest Wayans of the family

@@farhcawalid8224 Speak for yourself.
Yeah man, Damon is funny
Damon Wayans my favorite comedian
Damon Wayans has always been a phenomenal comedian AND comedic actor. It's important to distinguish the two.
I know this was comedy but it just made me evaluate a few things differently in my LIFE. Comedy is the cure!!!!
The way he compared life to a roller coaster was amazing, pure genius! I saw him live in 2014. He did 1hour 30mins. That rollercoaster joke is even better when he tells the full joke at a slower pace. Took about 5 mins.
This stand up wasn't gimmicky! It was funny because it's REAL LIFE!!!
Wasn't funny*
A little hacky, bbut solid nonetheless
I'm 41 and it's true that's what makes it so funny lol
He's hilarious without having to be vulgar!
It's NBC ..can't have vulgar on air
Very deep, well thought, well constructive roller-coaster philosophy
Yes, i agree.
This felt more like a life lesson than a comedy sketch. It was still good tho.
The best comedy comes from life experiences. A great comedian Can make anything in his life funny. I hope I can be one one day.
First time experiencing a life lesson in comedy? That's unfortunate.
you haven't watched much comedy then, have you?
Didnt find the material particularly funny, but the dude is a true master at what he does.
+respeezy material was shit actually lol, but his delivery is great
Yeah kids TV ..............

He’s at a different stage in life! He seems to have found peace with self. Great!
Damon Wayans, "Homie don't play dat!" I love you, man.
After Marlon’s convo on Club Shay Shay, I’m enjoying Damon’s clips in this UA-cam rabbit hole. 🤣💜🤣💜🤣💜
Nah fr fr
That was funny as hell. He still got it just matured and experienced life.
He is the most slept on comedian ever
Damon Wayans deserves more love
This was made for an older audience but it's also supposed to provoke thought in the younger generation to live your life and make better decisions so there's no regrets. The older u get the more you're able to appreciate the truth in his comedy.

All I see here are ppl giving him flowers. If a few ppl don't vibe with him, who cares?
I love this guy 😍
Specially my “wife and kids” series. Every episode has jokes that makes me laugh
I remember his role in the 1st Beverly Hills Cop and the movie Colors. Keep rocking Damon
T Bone changed his ways.

Got mad respect for him and his family. Was doing a show and was about to get bumped by him and he let me still get my stage time and I had a great set.
Damon is my favorite Wayan. Major Payne is one of my favorite movies. I watch it over and over and still laugh.
That roller coaster analogy was just too good!!!
The new Billy Cosby ha ha
I think you're right. The new Bill Cosby. I like that.
Hopefully he won't start raping people now. LOL

Not really.. But a serious lesson, of the pain of wasted years, & Poor Choices and Lost Opportunities.

The great thing about this is that he rarely cussed. I respect a comedian that can keep it family friendly. Those are the best kinds of comedians.
This man is an underrated genius
Some people have different senses of humor, if you don't like it, you don't like it, those who do or don't like it don't need to harass those who think the opposite.
started off a bit slow, but the bit about life being a roller coaster is brilliant
The way he laughs at 1:00 reminds me of the french version of the clown Krusty in The Simpsons =)
Hahaha...you stole my comment 🤣
If you mute the first 15 seconds of the clip it looks like he's spitting bars
Lmao im dying
All you need is a voice over & you have created a meme.
Exactly
😂😂😂
His jokes never get old!!
Dang he still has it!!! No matter the material..
The fart joke is super relatable. My daughter is the worst if I roughhouse her 😂. My other daughter is a bit more boyish that way
The best Wayans of them all. Damon is the best !
This is excellent!!! Whose watching in 2024
Damon Wayans is naturally funny.
This was funny.
His comedy has become more mature.
Not better or worst.
Just different subject matter for an older crowd.
ONE OF THE GOATS!!!! I wish he would come back to stand up
He's touring now
Damon Wayans doin what all comics wish they can do at his age, make people laugh.
Classic bit and a very under appreciated stand up comedian #legend
Comedic Genius🤯

Wow that was great. Damon knows whats funny and meaningful at the same time. Hope he does some movies and tv soon I miss him.
What an amazing performance, one of the best, if not the best comedians ever.
ahh i laughed so hard at this, love watching Damon
He made life sound just about as horrifying as it really is. Except for the student loan part. Thankfully I missed out on that nightmare.
Damon Waynes is a legend, MO Money is one of my favorite movies.
Damon is seriously one of the funniest people maybe of all time
Love the Wayans bros!

a truly great set for television. up there with the bests.

Comedians are just story tellers!
so much truth lol. Except I was divorced at 24 and now happily married at 30 with 4 kids that drive me up the wall. But at the end of the day, when they're all asleep, I just look at them and tell myself I couldn't live without them.
i hope he gets some material together and does a special now
This was great.
Those Damn student loans! 😂🤣😥😰😰😥
I thought he'd say "Oh terrible two huh? I don't think so. Homey don't play that."
Moral of the story dont fucking go to school youll be in debt for life😅😆😅😪🤧
He’s always been my favorite Wayans.
Wow that whole analogy was great.
This one hit me. I'm in my 30s. Pray that near turn into 40 is filled with continued growth and experience.
Damon Wayans is off the chain
You can hear the Cosby influence….Damon a legend tho
I always loved his stand-up!
That is good comedy. How he was able to make it relative to any human on the planet, capable of processing information.
