I think it is great idea for a small fixed blade. It would be better if it mimicked the same size as the Midnight Jack. It would make a great neck knife as well as a pocket carry fixed blade. The overall length of a neck knife of six inches is a perfect size slightly shorter or larger.👍

You should consider 275 paracord for the lanyard. I've had a lot of success with it when I need something smaller.
I ordered the abalone. Haven’t yet owned a JW, so I wanted to check this out.

Gonna be my first JW as well. Always been on the fence about them, but I really want a smaller edc fixie and this fits the bill pretty well. I just hope the S90V holds up well.

I saw Ben recommended popping a scale off to do the lanyard like you mentioned thinking of trying.
