If he doesn't do a Cinderella 3 reaction I'm sueing cus that movie slaps so hard
I loved that movie! when Cinderella 3 came out, I watched it almost everyday for two weeks
I hope he does, they’re on Disney+ so it would be easy to access it. Used to spend a lot of time in the car as a kid so I’d watch it on a portable DVD player constantly
Idk why but that movie used to make so upset and I still genuinely don't know why 😂😂
My only issue with it, is that the fairy godmother didn’t restore their memories at the end, and it bothers me still to this very day
Yessss. Way better than any of the other Cinderella films.
I feel like you're intentionally ignoring how much of a banger both "He lives in you" and "Not one of us" are in the Lion King 2.
You shoulda seen my 12 year old ass killing it on the dance floor while Koch ran around getting assaulted.
The “My Lullaby” was also really fun to me
* щøшшαικεг * Oooh! For a while my country was famous in the Lion King fandom because our translation of My Lullaby was so incredibly morbid! It made me really happy since I love my country! Thanks for reminding me! :D
It’s the Swedish version (;
He lives in you will be played at my funeral
What about We Are One?
It took me almost 14 minutes to realize he's wearing a headband and his hair is not shaped like that.
It took me scrolling through the comments and seeing yours to realize it...
Took me 9, thanks
BrUh, thought you were talking about Kovu at first
@Kaleela Edwards somehow i thought he was wearing underwear on his head-
Wait-he's wearing what???
I'm surprised you didn't mention that Simba's Pride is a reference to how some dad's will call their daughter their "pride and joy"
Like, my dad doesn't, but some dads do.
Also his pride in the sence of he was prideful in not accepting kovu to begin with and need to let go of that pride to listen to kiara in the end
Not just dads, some mothers call their children their Pride and Joy too.
Was it though? I'm pretty sure it was just a reference to Lion Prides...
@@redtailarts101 Most parents consider their children their pride. I actually think that makes more sense than the title referring to lion prides
@@redtailarts101 it was like a triple pun
I don’t think lions have an issue with incest 🤔

It called a presentation, Seamus. Mufasa literally says to Scar: “Sarabi and I didn’t see you at the presentation of Simba”
i literally just said that but okay you said it 2 hours ago imma delete mine
Can confirm, was in the musical

Yes, I’ve seen them all, they all SUCK!
Actually I’d say Simba did learn from Mufasa’s mistakes as seen by him being very overprotective of Kiara to try and prevent her from getting into the kind of trouble he did as a cub.
I mean, arguably he did have a part in his father’s death, so it’s kind of understandable that he doesn’t want his own daughter to end up in the same kind of catastrophic troubles.
He didn't learn because he should have known that the method of completely stopping her from doing something will make her want to do it more, thus putting her in danger.
@@strivingtoonedaybeuseful6049 Simba didn't have a hover parent. He had an easily ditchable babysitter.
@@strivingtoonedaybeuseful6049 Simba almost did whatever he wanted, if he had absolutely no restrictions I think he would've died as a cub.

I'm pretty sure a big reason you didn't like Lion King 2 that much was because you had high expectations from people telling you it was good so I almost don't want to say this but- Cinderella 3 is the best. Fight me.
I like both so can't complain XD

Ok but like, He Lives In You is in the Broadway show and that song is awesome
I remember when I was in school my friends wouldn't believe me when I told them there was a Lion King 1 1/2. No one else had seen it; it was like the film where Timon and Pumba watch what they were doing offscreen during the original and then all the other Disney character silhouettes show up at the end to rewatch the movie, was a mere figment of my imagination.
And I fell into the former category, when I watched it as a kid.
No one:
Absolutely no one:
Seamus: SIMBA’S PRIDE!!!
THE LION KING 2: SIMBA’S PRIDE IS A GOOD MOVIE AND I WILL DEFEND IT UNTIL I DIE
SAME!!!!!
Same, alongside 1 1/2
Ehhhhh
I'm with ya!
Yes I can say it
Yes lion king two is one of my favourite move
The lion king two is my favorite movie ever, I’ve memorized all the songs, and I’ve watched it so many times. Also, when Kiara said “look at them, what differences do you see?” I believe that might be themed towards racism, I could be wrong, but that’s what I took from it.
Honestly, The Lion King 11/2 is EXTREMELY underrated!
Yeah, i watched it, and honestly it was a bit corny sometimes, but it was very enjoyable!
Yeah, I remember catching it on Toon Disney and expecting it to be bad but it was pretty clever.
ITS NOSTALGIC OML
lololol I was just watching this video and when seamus was singing "SIMBA'S PRIDE!!!" my dad was like "what weird sound is that"
when i was younger i only watched lion king 1 1/2 bc we only had the regular lion king on vhs so it has a special place in my heart and I was glad to see it ranked so high
I hope whoever csme up with the idea for Lion King 1-1/2 is a Milionaire today. Really loved it
I found the villains in simbas pride to be really enjoyable. They're all just so interesting and I love how their relationship to Scar was left open, we don't know who zira was to scar or why the outlanders still chose to follow him and be banished, all we know is that somehow scar had chosen kovu to act as his heir.
I know the story was based around Romeo and Juliet, but zira gave me lots of Morgana le fey vibes with her raising her children as instruments in her revenge against simba.
I would say Upendi is more the Can You Feel The Love Tonight of Lion King 2.
I was expecting Upendi to be the one named
Love Will Find a Way is the more obvious one. Upendi to me is more along the lines of Hakuna Matata, but instead of being about letting go of your responsibilities, it's about embracing the love.
Film writer: How much nostalgia level do you want?
Someone else: YES
Pretty much Endgame. It's like every single moment in the MCU, from "I am Iron Man", Captain America budging Thor's hammer, to small jokes like "On your left" were payed off in spectacular, epic fashion. I don't think I need to put a spoiler warning at this point, because I'm assuming that anybody who is into the MCU has probably seen it by now?
good line from the video
The Lion King 1 1/2? You mean "Timon Gets Kvetched On by Marge Simpson and Frank Costanza"?
Omg i love your videos I also had Disney movies on VHS!! I loved the sequels as a child but I take pleasure in seeing you pick them apart it's so funny!!!!
Simba’s pride?

Yay! It really is the best Disney sequel. I don’t even like Lion King but I love Lion King 1&1/2 so much!
yup ive replayed this video three times now
and i need another lion king call back with every cast of disney sitting in a theater doing co-commentaries
Did you do "The Rescuers Down Under"? That one was my favorite when I was a kid. Haha
The fact that Seamus can make many videos of him reviewing the Disney Sequels instead of talking about the current Soul Trailer just shows how far Seamus' sanity went while watching Sequels.
I actually thought the lion king 1/2 goos- it’s a slow start but I remember enjoying it 😂
legit the first song slap s o h a r d and the soundtrack is pretty enjoyable
If history has been any indication, Elsa and Honey Marren's kid is going to have a sucky childhood.
You, my friend, are brilliant.
For me, TLK 1/2 is my childhood memory, well, before my family fell apart.
That film is one of my good childhood memories. Watching the original and that spin-off and surprisingly those characters on every Disney movie makes it more memorial.
I hadn’t seen the lion king 2 in 10 years, at least, and all I remembered was Kiara and Kovu and that it was my favorite movie. Rewatched it recently and it’s the romance, and the Romeo and Juliet retelling. Also fun fact, the song ‘They Live in You’ from the start of the second film, is also in the Broadway version of the Lion King. I loved the music too. The Lion King 1 1/2 has made my pans for a chronological rewatch of this universe very hard if I want emotional impact. PS The Lion King also has a Disney junior spinoff show that’s canon called The Lion Guard
you're right opening a film with a flashback is a good thing...when done right like for example the incredibles
I can’t believe he didn’t bring up the “one of us” song because I watched this with my family recently after RAVING about how good I thought it was when I was a little kid and we DIED LAUGHING over the zebra and antelope floating heads singing “deception….betrayal” like I totally erased that from my memory and for good reason 😅
Betterthentheoriginal is an underrated word.
I agree.
Except that you can't have Better, then the original, since the original always has to come first, by definition. It can only be theoriginalthenBetter.

you have to do the cinderella sequels after this series omg
Call me weird but... I actually saw Lion King 1 1/2 first... a couple times... then Lion King once way way later... and never Lion King 2
And I was a bit confused by the Lion King 1 1/2 because the copy I had was called Lion King 3 and I never understood how can this be the third one if it tells the story from the start... I never realized that Timon and Pumba aren't the main characters in the original one :D
I got a spongebob old spice commercial right before 13:38 and me and Seamus had the same reaction
You need to do the cinderella sequels.... im sure they're horrible but I remember them being really good as a kid. I especially love the one where her step-sister gets a redemtion arc and falls in love with the baker.
The hair tied back really suits Seamus!
Lion king 1 1/2 is like a fever dream
You mean 1 1/2 lol
You singing "SIMBA'S PRIDE!" makes me think of people who over sing "Happy Birthday"
And now for the movie in the Disney renaissance, that *is* a sequel
The Lion King 1 1/2 is actually my favourite ever Disney Sequel (?). I love it
I honestly love Disney for its music and artistic side, never had much with their movies story wise, but I still watch Bambi, TLk, fox and the hound etc and I just can't get over the music, art, sound effects etc it's just amazing.
do kronk's new groove. you will absolutely hate it.
The only reason I really liked the second Lion king movie is because that knock off scar lady really reminded me of my own mother (with me as Kovu) and the "Lullaby" song was also a very (un)pleasant reminder of childhood!
Sir... the disrespect of not mentioning the only redeeming part of this movie the amazing fucking banger "one of us" is off the charts
God lion king 1 1/2 was like my childhood. Me and one of my best friends loved Disney, and watched this movie together. Whenever we mention songs that r stuck in our head or the lion king, we just burst into a chorus of dig dig a tunnel 😂
Hi Seamus,
I just found your channel recently, but I really wanted you to know that I love it very much.
You humor, the way you talk so your scripts, the editing choices, everything seems very well rounded and entertaining.
Seeing a video on my page always makes me happy.
Thank you.
Fun fact: in the original storyboards, Kopa, a character that was scrapped from the film apperad in it unnamed in first film as the cub who’s born at the end. But for the sequel, the newborn is Kiara, replacing Kopa with her.
3:48 You know Disney stated that Scar and Mufasa weren't brothers right?
I guess they did years after this came out
Early squad where you at?!
Here bby
Oh yeah
Form some reason I can remember the sail sence really well.
In some regions like Australia, The Lion King 1 1/2 is called The Lion King 3: Hakuna Matata.
Also, what about the recent Lion Guard TV series?
Story: wow look at my amazing original saga filled with wholesome feels and epic character development!
Sequel: yeah... what’s kare-actor duh-envelope-mint?
the day I discovered the lion king 2 was the day my soul died
Okay, I have to say that the moment with pumba in the small bed and Timon in the big bed is, I think, more of a reference to dogs. I had big dogs and a little dog as a kid, and, without fail, the big dogs would take the little dog's bed and vice versa.
11:37 DUDE I ALMOST SPAT WATER ON MY LAPTOP WTF BAHAHAH
I actually really liked The Lion King 1 1/2 . It’s my entire childhood 😂
3:08 I don't see how Simba's dad made any mistakes though? He was the one giving advice to Simba even after he died. Struggling to remember the first film but wasn't the whole thing that he needs to take responsibility and return to the pridelands? I don't see how his character's inconsistent.
I'm one of the rare person who hate the original Lion king anyway.
BANISH THIS MAN!!!!
Its honestly overrated, it’s an okay film and it’s great for nostalgia and stuff, but it’s not the 𝙗𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙛𝙞𝙡𝙢 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧.
Same here
Ooh. May I ask why? You don't have to answer, I'm just intrigued about how people view the movie in a negative light.
@@ApricityGlow objectively, I know it isn't a _bad_ film, but
1- I never saw it little,so I don't have the nostalgia
2-I find most characters pretty annoying, especially Pumba and co
3- The Lion king songs are everywhere. Always. When you expect them the less. Endlessly. I swear every time I hear someone going ''Hakuna matata'' I want to commit murder.
The story of Lion King 1 1/2 makes sense on another level because it's directly inspired by Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, a spinoff play of Hamlet, which the original Lion King was loosely inspired by. Seamus might also enjoy looking into the Tag and Bink spinoff comics for the Star Wars universe from 2001, that follow similar zany plot lines that tie together seemingly random events from the original story from behind the scenes.
Okay for lion king 2 you missed the bloody plot point that Simba is terrified that what happened to him and his dad will happen to Kiara!
That is some emotional scarring which is shown though the fact Simba still has nightmares even though it's been 5 years since his dad died and atlesty 3 years since Kiara was born. (When he has the nightmare)
I love you Seamus don’t listen to anyone else I know you probably won’t see this but over 100k people subscribe to you and never stop your amazing and you have great friends and anyone person in their right mind would be your friend I just wrote this because you are amazing and I just needed to tell you, anyway go back to your day thanks for reading this :)
The timeline of those years that they just skipped was presented in a Disney series called 'The Lion Guard'
I keep forgetting that Timon's little origin story thing wasn't in the original Lion King
Used to watch your videos all the time and i came back to check and see how you are doing and still bringing out epic videos like allways and i may be able to help you with vhs tapes i have copys of them all
nala and simba would be cousins since apparently lion prides only have 1-2 males, and those are scar and mufasa, who are related...
I like most of the Disney sequels, but it's funny seeing the other side of things. Also, I think the terrifying smile on the look of the villain lion's face as she died is worth mentioning at least. It's creepy.
These sequel videos are more entertaining than the movies themselves!
Cinderella 3 shows people how strong, resilient and capable my girl Ella is ❤️

The title “Simba’s Pride” just makes me think he’s gay
Scar chose a cub to take his place after he died and in most human royal lineage goes to the first born heir, and in lion prides the power passes to whichever lion is the strongenst. Normally a king will only choose the next king in the case that he can’t have an heir of his own. Scar could never have been his father because Scar was infertile!
