Good Morning Wiley - Like I said after the last video, that is going to be one very nice reading room behind the cabin. After watching your videos for the past few years, I would not expect anything less. You are definitely the "Wizard of Wood". Great score on the used lumber/flooring. Thank you for sharing your talents with us. Enjoyed watching this and looking forward to seeing the "re-purposed" wood going up. Take Care and Stay Safe. Regards, Randy Wiley @ Coyote Sticks by Wiley
Healing well, I hope Randy. I've had some fun with this as it's small enough to play a bit without breaking into the piggy bank. Also, the free wood made it a bit easier.
That paneling really cleaned up nice after going through the planer. Im sure the maple will look just as good. What an awesome friend to let you go in and get that material.
Sitting in comfort and on the thinking throne is a great place to reflect. 😊 Can remember my school mate, they had a Dunny or outhouse, and the toilet paper was newspapers cut into squares. Yes us boomers did recycle. 😊 Good job there Wiley.
Can’t beat free. Well I suppose you can if someone was to pay you to take something 😂. Outhouse looks pretty awesome. Still kind of cracks me up that you are building one. I hope you don’t have plans of showing us how it works. I think I’d pass on catching that video 😆. I feel like you should put one of those tiny wood stoves in there so it can stay warm while doing your business LOL. It does seem like a lot of material for an outhouse. Think it’s cool that you showed us how you cut those and stuff to have them all prepped for install. Looks like we’re about to get cold enough to need to turn on some heat. Was hoping it would stay just a bit warmer for a while longer. Improving skills or staying practiced is good. But really I get the feeling you just love doing it. Oh and congrats to the winner of your giveaway!
I agree with your closing remarks. I don’t think you’re going through too much work considering this is something that can last for years. There’s nothing wrong with having a little bit of pride in your work.
@WanderingWiley Especially an outhouse! I have seen some pretty appalling outhouses in my long life! Makes me shutter just thinking about it. I like an outhouse where you know right away that somebody cares!
That looked like a really nice cabin that they tore down. I suppose they're going to replace it with a McMansion? That's what's happening down here in the city. I'm glad some of that wood won't just be thrown away
That is going to be the nicest outhouse I’ve ever seen. When you crawled in there, I thought “don’t fall in” but you got in on purpose 😂 Very pretty foliage at the beginning of the video. Take care!
What a great score! But sad to see the little cabin being taken apart. Was it in bad shape? it looked great to me. Trev was given a bunch of used metal roofing this fall from a friend here in the Yukon and we have put it on our woodshed (which had a perfectly good, new metal rood until Trev built a new little cabin about 15 miles from our main cabin and stole it, lol!) It's always nice to get reclaimed building materials though! The maple looks so nice all planed. Take care!-Sue
You maybe have this in your plan, this is for men the upright part of the seat should be lined with water proof. What ever you have. This will keep your maple flooring looking nice. If you know what I mean!!
Your buddy is freaking awesome! I agree with you on screws over nails. I'm kinda jealous of your garden area too; it looks so nice. You have such a nice property. It doesn't seem like a lot of work for an outhouse to me. I'm fighting the urge to say you take pride in shit! 😂 OH man. That's not even funny. But it is a great video. 👍👍
I admire your vision of the wood’s potential and that you are not deterred by the labor it involves. You are a true craftsman. You are, however, making me nervous 😬 by not using a push stick. Please be careful and stay safe.
@WanderingWiley There is a type of push stick that has a bottom that's angled and has a nubby surface to push wood without sliding. It has a long handle, so you could push with a regular push stick from the back and use the other one to reach better between the buddies. Just a thought. I know someone, a young lady who lost her little finger to a table saw. She built herself an artificial movable little finger. I'd rather you didn't have to do that. OW!
David Gurgir was the winner of the power station.
You are more than skilled and diligent! You are a patient man !
Well I can say I try to be patient, lol.
Wow guys, what an amazing job! 👌👍
Thanks so much!

That's some nice reclaimed wood. Love when stuff can be reused and kept out of the landfills!
I thought so too Jan, thanks

It did, milled out fairly well
What an awesome score on all the wood. That will come in handy for your projects. Have a great weekend 😊.
It really was. Thanks LaRue

Lol, yes, I'm just shy of a boomer, but i up with grocery bag book covers returnable bottles and milkmen. Now, a throw away civilization

Hahaha, I'm just having some fun with this, and I promise no tutorials on usage

Even if an outhouse, 😆 🤣 😂
@WanderingWiley Especially an outhouse! I have seen some pretty appalling outhouses in my long life! Makes me shutter just thinking about it. I like an outhouse where you know right away that somebody cares!
OK, I can foresee a whole community built in 5 years. HAHAHA. 👍👍👍
Yep, the compound, 😆
Boy, I think the wood turned out just beautiful. That's going to be one fine outhouse if i do say so myself. Good job Wiley as always.
Lol, nothing but the best. Just kidding, The pine turned oiut nice, not perfect but will work great in the study.....
That looked like a really nice cabin that they tore down. I suppose they're going to replace it with a McMansion? That's what's happening down here in the city. I'm glad some of that wood won't just be thrown away
I could have called it home, but it did need extensive updates. Just a hair bigger on size
That was a bunch of work just to get the wood! So glad it was "free"! Good deal for the cabin. Looking great Wiley. 😁🎃👻
Thanks, free is always a great deal.
I applaud you repurposing the maple flooring and the paneling lumber. Good job on the camera work as well
Camera is great, just afraid to hurt it, lol. That maple will be nice in the loft.
Nothing better than time in the shop!! Great Video Wiley. First Class Crapper for sure!😂😂
So true on shop time, the crapper got to be comfy, 😆 🤣 😂
That's a lot of free wood... You saved some money.
It was, and yes, saved some at the same time.
Beautiful country! Nice to be able to repurpose nice materials like that.
Thanks and it really is nice to repurpus v new when time allows.
What a score on all that lumber! It’s beautiful. Too good for a shitter. 🤣
Pretty dry and brittle, part of the reason I ripped it down was a lot of broken tongues and grooves. But looks good now if you like pine. 👍
Wiley, MASTER CRAFTSMAN for sure! Enjoy watching your attention to detail! Perfectionist! Awesome!
Not sure about that master, but thanks. Lol
Just like we did at our deer shack, we salvaged a 100 year old barn all rough sawn. All clear for the most part.
This wasn't but still, thanks Chuck
Very Nice View from you drone 👍👌😇That is a very nice way to recycle wood planks Sir 😇👌👍Cheers 🍻🍻
They were a bit rough but now have new life. Take care Dave
Great looking outhouse. As we say down south, "You'll be sh#@ing in high cotton now"!
High cotton, yep, lol.
Jeepers that's a well built outhouse
Yeah, I'm having a bit of fun with it. Lol
Well, my grandad used to always say, if you're going to do a job, always put in 100 percent or don't bother doing it.
No truer words.
Great commentary, Wiley. I really enjoyed that.
Thanks
I’m going to call you the blue eddie builder best poop shack ever.✌️💙😂
That is going to be the nicest outhouse I’ve ever seen. When you crawled in there, I thought “don’t fall in” but you got in on purpose 😂 Very pretty foliage at the beginning of the video. Take care!
I dropped a block in. Thus, my comment glad it wasn't used yet, lol 😅 🙃 😆
That's a high class outhouse☺
The royal flush
That's gonna look nice when it's finished.
I hope so, thanks
Wood cavin is beautiful ❤
Thank you
Great video. Love the maple flooring.
Should look great in the loft, after refinishing.
That’s gonna be a nice 2 holer when it’s done!
I hope so, lol, as far as outhouses go. Thanks Craig
@@Thelifeofwiley I’ve used a lot of em back home in the U.P. So far yours is nicer than most and it’s not even close to done😂
Love it!❤
Glad to hear that
going to be a great outhouse....
Yeah, having a bit of fun with it now. Thanks
What a great score! But sad to see the little cabin being taken apart. Was it in bad shape?

Thanks Sue, hope all is going well 👍
Thanks for your great video
Thanks for your time. Take care
Einfach toll👋👍👏🏻😊
I agree with that!🕊🍁🍂🫖📚

Yes I understand and will do something for that
Good afternoon 🖐😎👍
Morning!
Seems like The Birches and Poplar yellows are hanging on a bit longer than normal.
They are even with the amount of rain lately. 🌧
Repurposing is good!
Yes, I hate seeing stuff like that just end up in the landfills
What an great "office" you're building ... a great place for passing legislation 😂😂 haha !! ✌️
😆 🤣 😂 yes it's a great office. And a perfect place for that.
Ich sage nur Super
Hi Anieta 👋. Hope all is well
Are you putting insulation in that outhouse?
Don't think so, although I do have a couple roles around here. So who knows. Lol.
I can send you a push-stick!
I have them, the board buddies were in the way for it.
Your buddy is freaking awesome! I agree with you on screws over nails. I'm kinda jealous of your garden area too; it looks so nice. You have such a nice property. Thanks I just spit coffee out with this post. Way to funny when coffee dribbles out my nose
You really should cover your bike it's getting full of saw dust!! LoL..
We but it else where for time being. Definitely don't want it ruined as it's a great way to cruise around.
Also I'll email you to the account you left me in Instagram.

Thanks, with the board buddies on it, it makes push sticks hard to use.

Nothing wrong with being proud while taking a dump
Not at all
🙋👍
Hi Armida, been wet and rainy here, possible snow showers the end of the week, I'm not ready for snow yet, lol.
I hope you don't leave a nickel gap on the seat.
I'll try not to.
Are you going to Insult the walls and ceiling 🤔
I doubt it, but I do have a couple rolls left over. Lol
Don't cha just love free used material??
To a point, lot of time in this now, lol
