Timeline problems - are you using Aeon for 'Dark Frontier'? After listening to you on the software-for-writers podcast, I bought Aeon - you should be on commission! I'd forgotten how much time it takes for me to learn new software :( Some things are easy and then I got stuck on the fact that a) I need to put in actual fake dates of birth for real medieval characters where we only know month or even year and b) I can figure out how you quickly check the age of a character at Event X (when you've put event X in) Also I write on an ipad (so I can write in the garden on a train, wherever - Dr Seuss style :) )and edit on a pc so that's not helpful :) I think it will be useful, but I need to input more info I think!
I don't think Aeon even retweeted our episode tweet where we tagged them! I wish I got commission! And yes, I did use Aeon for Dark Frontier, but the problem arose during the writing and not paying attention to how long I'd some travel would take. The eagle-eyed copy editor counted the days and realised I had the Sunday picnic taking place on a Monday! In the plan it was of course Sunday, but when I got into the nitty gritty of research, the travel too longer than I'd guessed. I had to move the intial arrival date of the protagonist by one day to compensate. BTW, you don't need to put in dates of birth, but it does help, I think.
Legend 😁
Excited to hear about your progress, Matthew! Looking forward to checking out the Rock, Paper, Swords podcast. Keep up the fantastic work.
Thanks!
New book preordered.
Thanks!
