Cheers mate. Spent many a good night in wigan too in the late 70's to 81. By the sound of your name we probably shared the dance floor a few times. Yeah really looking forward to getting in the water .
Greetings, new to your Vlogs..!!! Only the second build from start I've seen. First was Silver Fox 🦊 ....I love your floor plan and how thoughtful to display it for us, very spacious. Where did you get your knowledge of NB? Cheers TTFN xx 😃🤗
Cheers Garey, Your getting through them quick, you will be all caught up soon. Yeah we are still pleased with our choice of floor plan and think it will work really well for us. We have no personal knowledge of Narrowboats at all. Its really been a combination of research and knowing what we liked and disliked living and traveling in our motorhome. Our backgrounds and skills have helped with the build and hopefully the knowledge we don't have we can learn along the way. Enjoy the rest of the Vlogs and thankyou again for watching👍
Interesting video. The ballast calculation is obvious when you put it like you did. Thanks. Does the window factory only do narrow boat windows or do they supply other markets? Double glassed I presume.
Not sure if or what other windows they do but I think the business started out producing windows for horse boxes and then on to boat windows. Great family business nothing too much trouble. Single glazed at the moment but our frames are able to take double glazing if or when we upgrade later.
Hi. We didn't need to. But if ever we need to we can just slice the insulation , lift it out the way, remove ballast and then refit and seal the insulation. 👍
Great explanation of the plan. You’ve put some thought in to it. Logical, makes sense and some forward thinking for trimming the boat. Great stuff.
Cheers Chris👍
Great explanation of ballast and I love the windows. Spent many a good night in Wigan in the late 70's
I bet you can't wait to get on the water.

Cheers Sim. Lovely to know you're watching. Xx
Great explination and plan. Hopefully all things will go well. :)
Thanks Alan.
All that stuff about the weight was an education! Building a narrowboat isn't as easy as you make it look! 😆
Years of experience of blagging it !!
