I sleep with headphones on and UA-cam auto selected some of your music and I dreamt of star ships flying in space in battle like a 80’s anime.... when I woke up I had to see what I was listening to during the night and now I’m here. Great music guys... 👍🏾
Arch Echo is one of the best progressive metal bands out there. Their skill and writing is on a whole new level. I am consistently blown away by the quality of music that comes from this band. Each album still holds true to what is "Arch Echo" but still adds new ideas to keep it fresh. On top of that, they are not just studio musicians with great production skills...they also have the chops to play their incredible music live and it seems damn near flawless. As a musician myself, I hope to bring my listeners as much joy for music as you bring to me when I listen to your albums. I sincerely hope the best for you all and I look forward to many more incredible albums!
Love leonessa! I sometimes wish arch echo would stay just 10 secs or so longer in a particular key/phrase/idea/etc. I know that's the whole uniqueness with this band, to jump around frequently, but you guys put more creativity into 12 notes in 10 secs than most bands do for a whole track lol. This is a compliment to your musical minds. Thanks for the great tunes!
Yeah idk the appeal for me is when they change keys unexpectedly so the more they do that and the less harmonically stable it is the more I'm like AAAAA YESSSSSS but I know I'm the weird one for that opinion lol
F$%@ing beautiful, you guys are pretty much my go to music. My son has fallen asleep to your songs since he was born, he's 2 and a half now. Stimulates brain development 💤💥👊
After listening bands for years : dream theater, periphery, Haken, Intervals, Plini, crazy amateur Anup Sastry albums ...now my favorite band is Arch Echo . Power, complexity, melody, beauty, madness and inspiration.. all in one Band..
That breakdown on Leonessa at 10:39 is so sick! It's so heavy, while simultaneously having a calm, mellow energy. Plus, that keyboard work is fiiiine! ;)
Shawn Mitchell I loved their first album. It was very melodic, indeed. Their 2nd album sounded like notes and rhythms thrown into a blender, and turned on high for 25 min. I was comparing this most recent one to their last (2nd) album. I’m glad they returned to more melodic writing.
I found their 2nd album to be incredible. And I appreciate the difference from their first album. Impatiently waiting for their sheet happens book for their second album.
@@divinasi0n Yeah the past few months were a bit slow for prog releases but with new Intervals and Plini next month, as well as Caligula's Horse and Haken earlier in the year there's been some good stuff. Definitely not as many as 2019 though I'd say.
Everyone's moving away from heaviness and distortion and I find that unappealing. Without darkness you wouldn't appreciate the light. By the way, those videos of you now and 7 years ago are a real trip side-by-side 😅
@@divinasi0n totally feel you, I started looking more into bands like Loathe outside the prog scene this year because I was looking for more contrast, I have a feeling once more prog bands that are going for a heavier sound transition more out of the "djent" sound to something more interesting we'll see that come back more. And oh yeah lol, I guess going from elementary to college will do that to you haha
17:18 part..Measure of a life....It erases all of my negative thoughts of the world...It gives me hope to face the dark..it strengthens my mind and soul..it tells me that everything is going to be all right..Just feel this section..youll experience it too
Flawless, stunning quality of musicianship, they cannot be compared. really beautiful to see how much fun you guys have.. Thank you for sharing, all of your skills, letting me hear what you guys create.
I am planning to see Dream Theater in Houston, TX on December 11th, and noticed that you guys were opening up for them. Looked you guys up, and here I am, not only excited for DT, but you guys as well! I'm definitely a fan now, for sure. Can't wait to be a part of the crowd when you guys hit the stage.
LOVED the Cincinnati show! We were speechless. I wish you guys could have gotten a longer set. We'll keep our eyes open for your next show in the area!
So good! I’ve been listening on repeat and each song continues to grow on me. This really feels like a cohesive story. My interpretation: To The Moon is classic youthful energy, dreaming big, and going for it. Strut is also youthful, but brash and full of confidence, strutting your stuff around. Leonessa stops you in her tracks and leaves you all dreamy and spellbound. It’s youthful and nostalgic love all at once. The click at the end of the track makes me think it might’ve been a mixtape a guy created and gave to his high school crush. Measure of a Life is the natural progression to maturity and considering bigger stories with deeper meanings. Can’t wait for Story II.
I love Measure of a Life so much! The buildup of the second half is unlike anything I’ve ever heard. It just sucks you right in. A true masterpiece, as are all the songs on this EP. I would love to see a stand alone video for Measure of a Life like you did for the other 3 songs.
Initially I wasn't the biggest fan of the single but then I heard Strut in spotify autoplay and was immediately blown away. I realised the reason for being somewhat underwhelmed was that just by seeing the name Arch Echo I came to expect impossible levels of perfection. And after the fifth listen I can safely say in the end you guys somehow exceeded my expectations.
This is everything I love about music and more. Thank you for creating and sharing this beautiful work of art! Listening to this strangely fills me with so much nostalgia and peace and at the same time is energizing and unlike anything I have ever heard before.
Leonessa is just godly. Fuckin well done guys. Absolutely amazing! Every song is fantastic but got damn that guitar solo and atmosphere setup by izzo in Leonessa is just amazing.
GREAT SHOW in St. Louis, MO Tuesday night. Numerous people saying how much they enjoyed Arch Echo on the way out. Really cool! and.... you all love the strobe light effect for sure. LOL!
Nice Rush reference and homage, measure of a life...strong work guys, beautiful song...all of them are incrediballs but that one wow... is love and respect
This is fenomenal, i really love it. First i missed some vocals but after listening deeply a couple of times i feel there is no need for it. Greetings from Sweden
Gosh dang, you guys are a perfect mesh of different ideas and when it comes together it produces something unique and original. And for some reason, the album (all of them) gets better each with each listen.
This is a kickin' band, I found these guys because l wanted to hear who I would see open for Dream Theater. Hearing these dudes, I am even more stoked for the concert than before!
Leonessa honestly reminds me of Snarky Puppy. So glad I found this band. Truly a melting pot of so many different styles. I hear Pat Metheny, UZEB, Snarky Puppy, Dream Theater, Hakken, Pink Floyd, Plini, Leprous, Voyager and Rings of Saturn.
Since I've played guitar for so much of my life, I tend to hear the guitar above other instruments, but you guys always somehow pull my attention in every direction. Specifically at 16:56. That build up in Measure of a Life has my brain firing every synapse and floods it with dopamine and serotonin.
Thanks for listening in! We really appreciate all the support that has brought us here. This one's for you guys! ❤️
Masterpiece boys
I’m having a super awesome lunch break at work right now because of this new release! I’m listening to this and I can’t sit still! Great stuff guys!!!
It's amazing how you manage to come to new textures, but still keeping true to your sound. Mesmerizing as always! All the best for you guys!
You guys are incredible! Don't ever stop doing what you're doing ❤
truly enjoy you dudes
20:12 is like "Bleed" except you're safe and everything is gonna be ok
I love this
Hahahaha nice one
Drums : meshuggah
Guitar : animals as leaders (woven web thumb part)
Keys: Haken (reminds me some melodies from the visions album)
lol
I literally COMPLETELY unintentionally paused at this EXACT moment to respond to a text message from a friend. What are the odds
Arch Echo is slowly turning into my most favourite band of all time! This EP rocks! ❤️
Same. But they'll never take my number 1 or 2 spot of BTBAM and AAL
they already in my top 5 together with: scardust, insomnium, septicflesh, between the buried and me
"Measure of A Life" was absolutely beautiful.
Measure of a Life is something else. Stunning, just mesmerisingly beautiful
Good thing I'm at home. I'd get weird looks in the office listening to this with my pants down when it premiers
My neighbor’s favorite is Leonessa, at least that’s when they called the police over to listen too 🤘 🤘 🤘
Holy shit. Measure of a life is amazing.
I sleep with headphones on and UA-cam auto selected some of your music and I dreamt of star ships flying in space in battle like a 80’s anime.... when I woke up I had to see what I was listening to during the night and now I’m here.
Great music guys... 👍🏾
real sick
❤️ love you Wes !! Can’t wait for more Mammoth/ Thrailkill,

I agree with you, same time I get the vibe this is their niche and it flows very well.

why did i listen to "to the moon" over 100 times already?
because this music is amazing 🥰
This album had so many emotional melodies that stir our hearts
20:12 definetly the best musical composition of 2020 in my opinion
That breakdown on Leonessa at 10:39 is so sick! It's so heavy, while simultaneously having a calm, mellow energy. Plus, that keyboard work is fiiiine! ;)
Leonessa is SO DAAAAMN GOOOODD!!!!! Great EP guys!!
This is much more melodic and accessible than their last release. Great music, I’m loving it!
Really? Their first album definitely takes the cake on most melodic.

Whole EP is excellent, but Leonessa should be in the running for prog song of the year. Wow. Great work guys.
To be fair, there's not much competition these days..
100% agree this tune is gold

I mean really the amount of thought that went into the writing for this is amazing

The 17:18 part of Measure of A life just brightened up my day..sweet
I like the keys in this band. It really resonates with me. Love the way they sound. Can't wait! 🤘🏽🖤
Same here, they add to the energetic uplifting sound these guys have.
LOVED the Cincinnati show! We were speechless. I wish you guys could have gotten a longer set. We'll keep our eyes open for your next show in the area!

I just purchased a digital copy of this EP. Thanks for your magnificent work!
This is epic, I can't wait to see you guys live with dream theater later this year
Initially I wasn't the biggest fan of the single but then I heard Strut in spotify autoplay and was immediately blown away.

Brain weird like that.

You guys were awesome live opening for Dream Theater -- such a pleasure to finally see the band in person! Please come back to NYC soon
Leonessa is just godly. Fuckin well done guys. Absolutely amazing! Every song is fantastic but got damn that guitar solo and atmosphere setup by izzo in Leonessa is just amazing.
