Serge Lutens has a special place in my heart because they were some of the first niche fragrances I bought, some close to twenty years ago. Fleurs de Oranger used to be a very orange blossom forward fragrance, no tuberose detected to my nose, but the heavy cumin ruined it for me. I still have Chergui from when it first came out and it is different. A La Nuit was the second niche I ever bought and love it. I think Serge really fueled the niche trend for many people. I want to try some of his newer releases. Thanks for doing this because Serge should get more love in the community as the trail blazer he was. Loved the video! Still love Daim Blond.

I just added Datura Noir to my collection which is my first SERGE LUTENS !! I adore it so much compared to Terracotta and Solell blanc this one blows them both out of the park !!! Definitely will be looking to add more from this house !!
You said santal majuscule wasn't your favourite YET you got the strongest reaction when smelling it compared to the others! I think it might secretly be your favourite on a freudian level haha. If rose is one of your favourite notes, you should definitely get la fille de berlin. It's the most beautiful rose I have ever smelled.

I suppose my only regret is that I didn't discover the brand sooner. 😕 Before the price hike, it was a perfect gateway for burgeoning niche addicts. I mean.....fanatics. Fanatics. The addiction comes later. 🤣

More specifically used as a meditative herb when burned as incense. It has been called the Ghost Flower by Druids
Daim Blond is one of my top favourite scents I own. I brought it randomly when I knew nothing about fragrances back in 2017. I actually was gonna give it away to a friend and then I got it back and just out of curiosity looked it up on eBay in case I wanted to buy them a bottle and saw the price *_* Couldn't believe my eyes. The other Lutens I wear is Gris Clair - used to be my signature scent!
I have Ambre Sultan. I love so much Datura Noir and Fils de Joie. I tried Louve and it’s wonderfull on my skin. Des Clous pour Une Pelure is very nice too.
The two bottles I still have are Jeux de Peau and Chergui. I prefer the newer Fleurs d’Oranger but I recently discovered Lys 41 from Le Labo and I just really prefer it for an everyday white floral, so I sold my FdO bottle. I also have some other decants, including a decant of the older formulation Gris Clair and it’s such a bomb compared to the current formula.
@@yvespiderssmells9956 after reading some other comments I will add I’ve tried Louve and Fils de Joie, and both were medicinal on my skin, which I don’t care for (Cherry and ylang respectively perhaps?). La religiouse reminds me of Chanel Chance (my top 5) with horrible staying power. Santal Majuscule is very like Jeux de Peau with the rose+chocolate instead of Hawaiian bread. And I did try on Musc Koublai Khan as well, it’s well done but reminded me strongly of a horse barn :)
Hello! Nuit dr Cellophane is a pretty fruity floral to me! I like how clean it smells. I didnt buy it only because it doesn't stand out compared to the other Serges, but it's lovely. I really like La Fille de Berlin, one of the most beautiful rose fragrances I've smelled. Only reason why I don't have a bottle is because i wore a sample of it when I had a terrible day and now i have that scent association.

DB is sooo fantastic. The prices for second hand bottles are so expensive! That's a big reason why i waited so long to get a bottle.

Sadly for me, Fleur d Oranger is my favorite and that is one I know smells significantly different in the new formulation 😒
