22:40 The last digit of pi can only be from 1 to 9 because if it is zero, then we could just neglect as the zero at the end of a decimal doesn't change anything

20:21 I think math software is one of the reasons my daughter doesn't like math. That is very frustrating for me. She seemed to like math when she was younger. I'm a mathematician, I want my children to appreciate and like mathematics!
Took me a bit to find it, but the difference is the rightmost matrix under "Your answer" has vertical bars which is for the determinant. Should have angle brackets.
My goldbach conjecture was attempting to give an elemenatary proof of the prime number theorem for my dissertation, I got kind of close, I just needed to prove some lower bound was true...Turns out some guy named Chebyshev had already tried this method 200 years ago.
meme at 5:05: the math being referenced is an operation called a "blow-up" (a very important operation in algebraic geometry) and the guy is the unibomber. Hence the joke.
5:09 This was part of my honours thesis. This is the process of analyzing a singularity by adding extra protective dimensions to your space. The two spaces will be identical outside of the singularity, and your extra dimensions allows your space to have values inside the singularity. In short, you go from a space with a singularity, to a higher dimensional space with the singularity removed (at-least partially). The name of this process is a "blow up".
Because you can add a 0 to the end of a decimal without changing the value, (ex. 0.5 =0.50) the last digit of π is just zero, because no matter how far you go you can always add on a 0 without changing the value.
I’m one of the three Chinese (technically, Hong Konger) people who watch this channel, and I gotta say, flammy’s impression of Chinese 3b1b was the hardest I’ve laughed the whole video
I have worked with Symbolab, most of it’s fine, but the moment you try to do calculus with it, well let’s just say I get where you come from with linear algebra
@Lynkor Well, almost no other letters come in two different forms, except vowels. I suppose that epsilon and eta could be styled as 'little (short) e' and 'big (long) e', but they aren't. Why not? Because the Greek alphabet just happened to develop that way over the centuries; I know it dropped some letters (e.g. digamma) and probably added others, in a haphazard, undirected fashion. TL;DR I don't know, and there likely isn't a logical reason; that's just how the Greek alphabet is.

5:45 is Ted Kacynzski, math genius but more well known as the Unabomber. His specialty was in the geometry of analytic functions.

I knew this right away as I took lin alg this semester
In Math, Big O helps a lot in expansions, but in real life, it's quite the opposite.

14:54 that's someone from my school, not a chinese version of 3b1b, he made a math rap and for some reason just titled it that
the bagel yoke is to avoid egg on face, because infinite space is harder than periodic space for studying qft sometimes. infinity is too much to eat.
5:52 I think the joke is ted kazynski (the guy in the meme) was a mathematician who turned into a terrorist.
that or his pipe bomb is enough of a cylinder shape for them to relate it to the downscaled low res wave to 2D plane model.
20:12 they messed up the bars, so it is actually incorrect

yes but there was a different (wrong) explanation in the meme that papa just couldn't be fucked to read
Its ether 0 (if we want to count zero as the last diget of a decimal) or one f 1 - 9 so, one out of nine would be atleast somethat right.
Ah yes,

A zero product can be composed of non zero elements. When can this happen?
in modular arithmetic for example or in infinite products
@@PapaFlammy69Would multiplication of some carefully chosen p-adic numbers such as the one that is it's own square do that too
@@PapaFlammy69 Can you give an example?
@r0000g in the ring of integers modulo 4, 2*2=4=0 (mod 4). For another example, in the ring of integers modulo 12, 3*4=12=0 (mod 12).
