How to make Viking Stargazing Chairs

  • This is a little video about making some viking stargazing chairs.
    I enjoy making things when i have the time, big or small. This build was for the garden, and can be knocked out quite quickly.
    I used a circular saw, a drill, a jigsaw and an orbital sander to complete the job.
    This is just for the basic design and they can be elaborated in a number of ways, which might feature in further videos.
    This was a fun build and now i have something to relax in the garden, or elsewhere with, when i'm taking photos of the cosmos, or just out in the garden watching the bats fly around.

    nice and simple. What size is scaffold board? about 2 x 12?

      Thanks. These were around 1.5" x 9". You could use a wider board and maybe measure 3" in from either side for the mortise and tenon.
