      Appreciate video content! Apologies for butting in, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you researched - Schallingora Increase Capability Scheme (do a search on google)? It is a great one of a kind product for learning how to dunk like a total badass without the normal expense. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my buddy after many years got great success with it.

      A bold claim, everyone in the Olympics passed the required tests so how do you know this for sure? Also, even if they are on steroids, the human body jumping over a 7'6" bar is still a feat of nature itself. Ass amounts of hard work went into their training, and even if they used roids during training then weaned off before the test they still werent on them for a good portion of time on competition day.

    • @tquasa07
      @tquasa07 8 років тому +1

      You guys aren't jumping that high, neither is OTA
      You need to analyze your air time on video to know your true vertical.
      OTA here was getting about 0.86 seconds of air time, which equates to a 37-38 inch vertical, which is incredible nonetheless

    • @tquasa07
      @tquasa07 8 років тому +2

      I started the timer when his feet left the ground and when they touched down, no difference at all. His vertical jump was absolutely no more than 36-37 inches.
      44 inches of a vertical jump requires nearly 40% more force production than 37 inches. That's the difference between the world record 77kg clean and jerk and an amateur crossfit lift.

    • @tquasa07
      @tquasa07 8 років тому

      And if anything, what you're saying is that standing on tip toes increases your reach. You don't want to increase your reach before doing a reach based vertical jump test, you want to make it seem lower than it really is, in order to fraud a higher jump

    It is hard to believe. Willie Creear jumped 47 at the regional nfl combine. I looked at this one at .25 speed and looked at a spot on the wall and where his hips started and ended. Based on that it looks like he jumped AT LEAST 39 inches(assuming he's about 6 feet). Possibly more. Well I thought I was pretty good to get near 32" the other day but this is inspiring.

    How accurate are these Vertec measuring devices? When I paused the video at the peak of your jump, your heels do not look like they're 44 inches off the ground. They're 3/4 up the red section of the pole (maybe a little more), which is below your hips. Your hips are not 44 inches high.

    idk if im seeing this correctly but the top of the thing is 42 inches from that last bleack line ? and then the black notch is 3 inches under the last black line making it 45 according to the video. although from the black notch it may be 45 inches to the top, the guy in the video's reach is well passed the black notch. So if im not crazy then his vert is the 45inches to the top minus however many inches above the black notch his reach is

    I remember when Wilt quit and became coach of the now defunct San Diego Conquistadors. In practice the ball got stuck on the top of the board between some bars. He told the team anyone that got the ball down didn't have to practice the rest of the year. The whole team tried but they all failed(that is 13 ft). So Wilt, in his street clothes jumped up and hit the ball out.

      2. Get a double times body weight squat.
