Ya but a lot of those guys at the combine don't even have to train to reach exceptional verticals..this guy trained for nearly a year to do this, while guys at the combine were blessed with the genetics and God given talents.
Appreciate video content! Apologies for butting in, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you researched - Schallingora Increase Capability Scheme (do a search on google)? It is a great one of a kind product for learning how to dunk like a total badass without the normal expense. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my buddy after many years got great success with it.
@canucturbo2224 no,not necessarily and they are not usually.its the difference between standing reach and jumping reach.A jump mat would be more accurate.
A bold claim, everyone in the Olympics passed the required tests so how do you know this for sure? Also, even if they are on steroids, the human body jumping over a 7'6" bar is still a feat of nature itself. Ass amounts of hard work went into their training, and even if they used roids during training then weaned off before the test they still werent on them for a good portion of time on competition day.
First Two weeks of this vertical jump program and the workouts feels wonderful, I cant test my vertical gain so far, since I haven`t completed the program yet, but I really like the sequence routine for legs, you feel the burn immediately and my legs are becoming stronger. It is not hard to research this jump program by Google. The jump program is over here t.co/aX2oR1o9FS
Congratulations! Been following your challenge from the start, great to see you make your goal. Loved this Vertical Challange series, thanks for sharing your workouts.
You guys aren't jumping that high, neither is OTA You need to analyze your air time on video to know your true vertical. OTA here was getting about 0.86 seconds of air time, which equates to a 37-38 inch vertical, which is incredible nonetheless
I started the timer when his feet left the ground and when they touched down, no difference at all. His vertical jump was absolutely no more than 36-37 inches. 44 inches of a vertical jump requires nearly 40% more force production than 37 inches. That's the difference between the world record 77kg clean and jerk and an amateur crossfit lift.
And if anything, what you're saying is that standing on tip toes increases your reach. You don't want to increase your reach before doing a reach based vertical jump test, you want to make it seem lower than it really is, in order to fraud a higher jump
unreal Chris gona be trying this out soon,I'm near the end of my football(soccer) season just now n my bodies tired so once I'm recovered gona start jumping and using ur sprinting videos aswell! incorporating both into my training I think will help each other!
Wow!! God damn your flying!! I'm following your dynamic stretching and top 10 vertical exercises. I've seen significant improvement in my vert and endurance. Thanks so much Chris, truly one of the best athlete coaching on here!
I have been utilizing this vertical jump program for five days and I have already acquired about 4-5 inches. This program was really impressive. This is the finest vertical jump program I have ever done and I`ve attempted them all. I found this jump program by Google. The jump guidebook is over here t.co/aX2oR1o9FS
Been great watching you train for this! Even if had been longed out! You didn't give up! Helped me a lot too with my uni work with my S&C module! Props bro!
+sNGF24 yeah the average in the nba is lower. But i think the highest vertical are in the nba, guys like aaron gordon gerard green nate robinson zach lavine blake griffin etc
Hey Chris, you should check out the volleyball player Leonel Marshall. He supposedly has a 50 inch vertical jump. I'm not sure if it's measured from a standing position or from an approach.
This was awesome. Been watching all your videos. Very insightful and educational but this video was great. Showed how satisfying a completed goal can be after working hard on it!! Keep up the good work and videos boss!
It is hard to believe. Willie Creear jumped 47 at the regional nfl combine. I looked at this one at .25 speed and looked at a spot on the wall and where his hips started and ended. Based on that it looks like he jumped AT LEAST 39 inches(assuming he's about 6 feet). Possibly more. Well I thought I was pretty good to get near 32" the other day but this is inspiring.
How accurate are these Vertec measuring devices? When I paused the video at the peak of your jump, your heels do not look like they're 44 inches off the ground. They're 3/4 up the red section of the pole (maybe a little more), which is below your hips. Your hips are not 44 inches high.
idk if im seeing this correctly but the top of the thing is 42 inches from that last bleack line ? and then the black notch is 3 inches under the last black line making it 45 according to the video. although from the black notch it may be 45 inches to the top, the guy in the video's reach is well passed the black notch. So if im not crazy then his vert is the 45inches to the top minus however many inches above the black notch his reach is
I remember when Wilt quit and became coach of the now defunct San Diego Conquistadors. In practice the ball got stuck on the top of the board between some bars. He told the team anyone that got the ball down didn't have to practice the rest of the year. The whole team tried but they all failed(that is 13 ft). So Wilt, in his street clothes jumped up and hit the ball out.
Amazing Chris! So nice to see you got it after some time. You are a great inspiration and ignites my vertical training even more now. Keep on grinding. I'm sure everyone wants to see more new good stuff. Keep 'em coming bro!
Not wanting to sound pitchy but the pole is not straight. You can lose up a few cm if the pole is not vertical 100% I know I fixed my pole problem as well. Anyway anything over 100 cm is very good performance. What's your broadjump probably over 3m as well?
overtimeathletes I have a program for vertical jump but it’s only 2 days a week can I do explosive leg workouts overly other day still except for the specific program days bc I feel like 2 days isn’t enough
I'm 49 been out of shape for years I've lift weights for years but been out for few years but I've been shooting ball after years of not and now looking to get into shape does my age stop me from increasing vertical to 32 inches I'm 6'2 297 I get half up on net but I can shoot I looking to grab rim again with two hands then dunk but I have tons or work to do you can see my videos of me shooting I'm long ways to go
Roger Cobbs firstly losing weight will improve your vertical drastically 2. Get a double times body weight squat. 3. Employ box jumps, and rim jumps 4. Make sure your knees are in good health

Chris is such a great role model. He works hard and gets it. Then works harder
yeah because drinking alcohol makes you a terrible person
44 STANDING.. not even running... wow dude
44 cm?
44 inchs or 111.76 cm
@@Leaveittolauni like wow mine is 67cm max
Ralph Orlatei That’s not bad. Do you train for vertical?
75+ cm standing is like really great and hard to reach but how tf does he get 111 cm with that large frame? It's freakish to this day
They don't even hit 44 standing vert at the combine 😳
Wiggins
+ibrahim saeed I think Wiggins did a 44 for his max vert which is with a step and standing vert is no step like Chris did
+ibrahim saeed regardless that's good company to be in either way lol
Ya but a lot of those guys at the combine don't even have to train to reach exceptional verticals..this guy trained for nearly a year to do this, while guys at the combine were blessed with the genetics and God given talents.
Nevertheless, still very impressive and unbelievable work ethic.
Now do a dunk video
@Ava Alton 😂😂😂😂LMAO
Damn was very skeptical if this was real so I actually checked the hang time frame by frame. 0.95s, which makes it 43.3 inches, simply amazing.
If you guys looking to improve your vertical jump then you should check vert shock program, you can find the video about it here: #CoreyVertSHock
canucturbo2224 yes lmao

its impossible to measure air time from that video, youd need a timing mat to do that.
Congratulations Chris! going from a 32inch vert to 44 is ridiculous... cheers for all the help over the years.
I'm defo gonna get the Flight System!
did you ever do the flight system???
Patrioten 74 for a vertical? what are you on
did u do it? results?

+Rory Monkey Thanks bro
+overtimeathletes wow, I suppose your running vert will be around 46"~47"? What was your vert before training?
You guys aren't jumping that high, neither is OTA

man you been shooting for this for awhile all the way back in 2014 big congrats, enjoyed watching
been following you on n off since the strengthcamp days, damn man congrats thats an insane vert
Can we see an updated dunk video with your new vertical?!
so happy for you, congrats, your passion is inspiring
unreal Chris gona be trying this out soon,I'm near the end of my football(soccer) season just now n my bodies tired so once I'm recovered gona start jumping and using ur sprinting videos aswell! incorporating both into my training I think will help each other!

CONGRATS! Damn, I'm getting on this protocol after skiing season is over!
Great work Chris! This just shows it doesn't matter how long it takes you as long as you are determined you will make it

gainz is gainz no matter how long it takes. good shit chris keep going
Freaking awesome! Congrats! Have you tried any max jumps off run? Probably very close to 50 if not over!
Andy Nicholson yeah, probably around 48ish, most max run jumps are around 5-6 inches over your standing
@@bustermcthundernut he did 44, so it's probably 50
Damn man, congrats!
White boy can jump.
+Mike Friedman haha thanks bro
Unbelievable. Congrats Chris you're a beast! Great display of how hard work really pays off.
been following you since you declared the challenge Chris, fantastic job!
Jeeeeeez. I'd say it's time to go professional Chris! Awesome job!!!
To review air time and the corresponding height; 0.8 seconds= 30 inches, 0.86 seconds=36 inches, 0.91 seconds=40 inches, 0.99 seconds= 48 inches
Did you test 40/60 or 100m sprint times before and after the vertical program? That transfer would be interesting to know!
This is so sick, Chris! I'm marathoning your training tips right away!
Been great watching you train for this! Even if had been longed out! You didn't give up! Helped me a lot too with my uni work with my S&C module! Props bro!
That's unreal. Well done! Your channel deserves so many more subscribers.
you got an nba ready vertical leap
+letitfly from downtown Actually, average vertical jump for NBA players is 28 inches.
+Martin Vetere i knew it was 34...
+sNGF24 yeah the average in the nba is lower. But i think the highest vertical are in the nba, guys like aaron gordon gerard green nate robinson zach lavine blake griffin etc
+sNGF24 give me a couple names
he has a higher standing vertical than every nba player rn
congrats Chris! been a journey👍
Hey Chris, you should check out the volleyball player Leonel Marshall. He supposedly has a 50 inch vertical jump. I'm not sure if it's measured from a standing position or from an approach.
That's unbelievable Chris! Congrats man!
This was awesome. Been watching all your videos. Very insightful and educational but this video was great. Showed how satisfying a completed goal can be after working hard on it!! Keep up the good work and videos boss!

nice hops.. you also have to reach your arm and hand up extended and then subtract that from the total length to get your vertical.
It is hard to believe. Willie Creear jumped 47 at the regional nfl combine. I looked at this one at .25 speed and looked at a spot on the wall and where his hips started and ended. One of your best videos Chris. Well done And Congratulation .
Fantastic! It was great to watch the hard work and then the payoff.
Congrats dude, awesome stuff just shows where training gets you
Fuckkkk yeah baby lets get it!!!! Been following since the first vid for the vert challenge. Congrats on the jump and all the hard work paid off
Also the way he corkscrews through the air is freaky. I've never seen anyone at the combine do that.
Sold me. I'm gonna get your program
+Svint Bevtz Thank for the support brotha
overtimeathletes where can I purchase your program?
hey Mark. You can check it out at theflightsystem.com
did u do it? results?
Luis Urrutia can you send me them bro
cant wait for the trainings schedule !!

Proud of you man
5:23 . you know what I'm saying😂😂 lmao his voice when he said that
What do you think of wave loading and post activation potentiation with vertical jump? Is it effective? I'd love to hear your insights about it
wow how much of an improvement was that since you started? what was your vert before you started training for it and setting a goal of 42?
Amazing Chris! So nice to see you got it after some time. You are a great inspiration and ignites my vertical training even more now. Keep on grinding. I'm sure everyone wants to see more new good stuff. Keep 'em coming bro!
Sir: Have you ever measured the thrust-force of your high-jumps with a Force-Meter??? If so, what was the highest number???
Good job! What about hitting the mark with head to get more accurate results? :)
+Mart Muru For some reason you always get a lower vert when calculating from your height to jumping height, hitting the mark with top of your head.
mart i find you everywhere
Christian Pavely Lol what
Chris, please make this sale longer
Chris, how much do you think genetics has a play in power production, max broad jump, vertical etc...
Thanks for the vid.
Congrats bro, like the videos coming back
Should I focus more on the standing vert or running vert? Am so confused as to where to focus my training
😂😂 danny be like "I'm down, you know that"😂😂
I'd love to see what you can do with a running start. Make that your next challenge. I think 50" is easily within reach.
BEAST! grats dude! real inspiration right there.
This is incredible! You're an inspiration, man.
how tall is he? and what is his standing reach? I'm just curious
Unbelievable stuff man congratulations bro
Is this different to jumping onto the soft blocks because I did 42" and I haven't done much leg training??
yes, bc u can pull your legs up
chris does 64 onto a box
I'm new to all of these videos, what is your height, weight and standing reach? Congrats on the accomplishment!
wow chris has gotten really lean ! whats your diet like ?
+XTheSpartanX7 I'll be talking about that in the near future. Still experimenting
Not wanting to sound pitchy but the pole is not straight. You can lose up a few cm if the pole is not vertical 100% I know I fixed my pole problem as well. Anyway anything over 100 cm is very good performance. What's your broadjump probably over 3m as well?

Nice Chris, been waiting a while haha :D
I bought this program not to long ago bro . Mark my words Im gonna send you a video of me soaring through the air!

4. Make sure your knees are in good health
What type of facilities are those. The one with the glass in the football stuff in them
I have this same vertical tester and I am trying to understand how to measure. what is the bottom pole set at?
well done man...only jump trainer can understand your joy :-) keep on
im curious what you might be able to do with 3 or 4 steps
can we get a slomo of this? with a breakdown?
Is it possible to get a 50 inch vert ? I'm willing to do everything to reach my goal
Finally, congrats!
Awesome work Brother!!!!
WOW, congrats man, btw what was your vertical before you started training?
You did it!!!!! Congrats!
Hey Chris, i keep having reoccurring problems with patellar tendonitis from playing soccer. Any advice on getting rid of it? Thanks
how did u get rid of it? I have the same issue
