What a world... what a world...what a creative world!!! Yes, use it or lose it. I have a box of cuttings. I go back to it and go through it and toss what I stare at for a second or two. 😄 Tammy B just created a messy book. Love it. Just do it! Have fun...no rhyme, no reason...just create! 😉

I have lots of images saved but haven't done anything with them. I really need to just glue them down in my art book or throw them away. I usually just cut stuff out to use in my journal or make an atc card with. Great harvest session as always!

Love it … want to love it … 😂 inspired to keep trying … I don’t understand the part about not cutting images out just to keep them 😂🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️ it seems I’m very good at that part! Great video thanks for sharing! 🤗

Thank you so much for watching Allison!! I love to save images as well. Thinking about just making an images book for those images that draw my attention but have no specific reason other than I just like them…maybe a comp book? Who knows?? Be well, Elizabeth

I have never done a glue book but it is next on my list! I live with my 83 year old Mother and have her doing this too. She enjoys looking for things to cut out but with us both doing this it has turned into an organization nightmare? Mainly because I like my stuff detail organized and she just throws hers into some file folders. She claims I am taking too much time and I tell her that she won’t be able to find anything when we get ready with the glue books? 🙄 She likes everything and I like specific things? If this wasn’t good for her and her mind I would have given up on this and put it in the category of too much Mother/Daughter stress? 😂 All if that to say that it is still a work in progress as far as what to keep and how to organize it? I do creative daily journals to relax but if I am super stressed I read. It is the only thing that gets my mind away from my mind. If that makes sense? I love your videos! 💗

Thank you so much for watching and sharing your story Terri. I think it is awesome that you can share this with your mother even if you have different ways of organizing. I hope you are able to start glueing soon, what fun that will be!! Be well, Elizabeth

I enjoyed your sincere chit chat and willingness to share your thought process. I tend to hoard images and relate when you said you wanted to do something with them besides collecting......that being said..... I have anxiety and often find that simply looking through magazines and fussy cutting images tends to calm my anxiety. I guess when I am fussy cutting I have to concentrate on what I am doing which doesn't leave time to feed into the anxiety! Thanks for sharing your time and knowledge.

Thank you so much for watching Sherry!! I totally get the anxiety…and clipping images is super relaxing, glad you found something to curb those feelings 😊 I do wish I had more time to glue, my pile of images is getting rather large already 😳 Be well, Elizabeth

I limit the space images can take up in my small room…and I do have specific glue books for themes I am working on. Those images live with the glue books so when I am working on them - the supplies are with them. The rest are sorted by size - because I am a chaos glue booker too…following Nicole’s style - Random Glue Book - no rules, just glue. Before we moved - my room
was full of bins and drawers of images. We downsized significantly - and I am still downsizing the crazy craft room stuff.
And I completely understand the TV problem. I too have hearing issues and have to read - so there is no crafting when I am interested in a show. Thanks for sharing your videos - I enjoy seeing how others are crafting too.

Thank you so much for watching!! Been there, done that with downsizing. I definitely don’t want to fall into the trap of just collecting and not using. Your idea for your specific glue books is great 😊 Be well, Elizabeth

I am a big ole freaking mess! I have lots of pages of images I've cut out to go through later which I haven't. I've got lots of images I have cut or fussy cut out...basically, I need a whole new system. I like the idea of the way you're heading. It shouldn't be this hard, that's my opinion, I want to cut and glue to relax not worry about it. I have a tendency to hoard so I need to streamline my system.
I tend to want to glue as a mindless art form so I don't really plan it. I have a couple of paint books where I roll off or brush off the excess paint I've been using. Sometimes I have a few colors on a page and I'll see an image and think that would look so nice on here and I stick in on there. I don't really plan my glue stuff but if it could be used with another page down the line I could pull it out of my paint book and use it as background.
What I am doing this morning is looking for my date book, I think I lose that thing 16 times a day and get so frustrated with myself, how is that even possible? 🤔
I hope your ickey feeling of this morning goes away and you have a vight day!

I go through my magazine read articles. Then tear out pages with images I want to keep, roughly tear those I ages out and store them in a boxes, large medium and small, fussy cut when feel like cutting out. With Daphneys Diary I have about 8 weeks between them arriving at my home. My Evergreen Magazine is quarterly so a long gap between them arriving. The problem with Daphneys Diary, it comes with freebie gifts I can't use. The Colouring pages I save for my granddaughter to do. But huge posters are a no no. The pull out craft models come with no instructions. I am no good at gluing card models together. So it's decision time whether to cancel subscription or not now.

I don't do "traditional" glue booking. I glue book in my creative journal in the days that not much happens and I don't have any ephemera from the day. I harvest any image that I find interesting and I keep them in a box. I limit myself in just one box.

Thank you so much for watching Maria!! Limits are good 👍🏻 I have one drawer and that is all I allow myself. I, too use images occasionally in my journaling, but there is something relaxing about glueing images all over a page 😊 Be well, Elizabeth

what paper cutter do you use the one with the flowers on it?

      @NeverHopelessbyElizabeth  Рік тому

Thank you so much for watching Lisa!! My paper cutter is an old Fiskars; it’s probably close to 20 years old (unless I’m thinking of my old one) I just change the blades when they get dull. Be well, Elizabeth
