Man I drive a 2010 hhr mine still looks brand new. This one looks like a dump.. clean it up really good before showing them. Makes a big difference.

The SS model are cool it's the LS and LT models that all have braking problems (rotor warp). Well documented and Chevy didn['t bother fixing by recall "cheap bastards".

Hi, in Texas one guy is selling HHR SS Black with 179kmiles for $4000... I sent and offer with $3500.... I will check the car, however, my fear is the turbo, how many miles could be work without issues
I own a 2009 HHR SS panel version. 2 liter 4 with the 4 spd auto. Bought & ordered new 12 yrs ago. Aqua Blue Mettalic.
@Daniel Laubach….I had one of those….you may know they only built about 216 of them. I bought mine used but it was a well cared for one owner. I loved it. Unfortunately we had a terrible wind storm in 2015 and a neighbor’s tree fell on mine and smashed it badly, well beyond repair. Sad loss.

What exactly is a “factory turbo upgrade”, weren’t all 2008 and up SS models 2.0l Turbo? Stage 2?
He really used the wrong terminology. Its not a upgraded turbo. Still the factory ko4 all the ss's come with. What it really is the the OEM stage 1 kit GM offers. Replaces the stock 2ish bar map sensors for 3 bar sensor, pcm flash and walaa. Turns up the boost, spools up quicker. Also gain a 1mpg average if you can maintain your leadfoot.
Good for 290hp and 315 foot pounds at the crank. Pretty much moves that previous 260 crank hp to the wheels instead.
There's no other stage kits that im aware of. Thats just what they call it.
Why did they put so much effort into this and cobalt ss and not the monte and impala ss 😒

I just got an auto. So nice to cruise. I would get a manual in a v8 only. Not a 4 cylinder. It's not a race car.
The vast majority of HHR SS cars were sold with the automatic. Maybe 1 in 10 you see advertised have the 5 spd manual. The manual trans car also has 35 HP more than the automatic car. Either one is a winner!

kris hickman That is normal, caused by the frame rate of the camera he is filming with. The flickering happens so fast humans can’t see it but since the camera doesn’t ‘see’ like we do you get the flicker. Same as if you point a video camera at an old crt style monitor or TV.

dj nsayne that's the high pressure fuel pump, not the lifters.
direct injection. i was worried at one point about the ticking sound. ended up being a norm for these engines.
That's the injectors makin that noise.

That noise you're hearing is the injectors from the 2 liter.
I have a 2008 and it is so small. It has an electrical problem, I have disconnected the sun roof. It drives, gas mileage is not bad but not great, either. The hhr in my book receives a 5 out of 10. I bought mine used , so maybe.....
I have a 2008, and it’s a lemon almost everything has broken. It’s garage kept well maintained and very low miles only 32k. You couldn’t give me another one!
The brakes on all HHR's but the SS model suck. Constant rotor warp, more than likely due to the shitty drum brakes on the rear that never engage.

The car is fine, it's my camera doing the weirdness. Still not sure of why it does that.
It's flashing because the refresh rate of the displays for the cluster and the console are different than the refresh rate of the camera.

This motor has early direct injection and the fuel injectors are pretty noisy. This one sounds louder than usual.

Shaia Farber Saabkyle is a good car reviewer, I personally like that people try to be like him. While Saabkyle reviews alot of cars he can't review them all. I would rather have someone imitate Saabkyle then watch someone who is trying to be "different". Just thought I would give my opinion because I see a lot of people commenting on car reviews and majority of them are saying "stop trying to be Saabkyle". If aint broke don't fix it.

It's not the lifters, these 2 liters turbos have direct injection system. Same engine that's in the Pontiac Solstice Saturn Redline Sky.

Charlie auto sales is a rip off he sold me a lemon 🍋 infiniti m35 that didn’t have any oil in the car and went out in highway 70 a week later . Nice car but terrible dealer ! Only gave me $1,000 back from my $3,500 i paid for the car . Never do business again with this guy
YOu would think they would have prepped the car before putting it on video. Notice all the food in the cup holder and lets not even mention the engine needed a good cleaning.
