I love seeing young people’s shocked faces hearing this for the first time. 🤣 Pac is a legend. RIP
😅ikr
And us “old” people already know the lyrics! 🙏 this generation missed out completely!! 🤦🏾♀️🤣
@@JN-qn6ry Lol right
I'm a 78 year old southern white dude and have been listening to 'Pac for years. I had all his CD's at one time. Depending on my mood I play either Tupac or Pink Floyd. I know that's a hell of a leap but I like all music
Wes Baggett I salute you sir. I'm from SC and that is a rare thing indeed. You have an open heart. ⚘
I'm 70 and have been listening to and collecting music from every genre since I was 13 years old, music from A to Z. Music is in every fiber of my being, I feel it . I'm an African American and have seen, live on stage, LYNYRD SKYNYRD , STEVE MILLER BAND, BB KING AND FRIENDS, JOHN LEE HOOKER, ETTA JAMES, DR. JOHN, ERIC CLAPTON, COREY STEVENS, ERIC GALES, JONNY LANG, PATTY LABELLE AND LUTHER VANDROSS, THE OJAYS, THE WHISPERS, THE SPINNERS, STEVE VAE,
GARY MOORE, MINNIE RIPPERTON, and the list goes on. I've had some of the greatest summer concert seasons and if I weren't in poor health, I'd still be going.
I'm a 27 year old Mexican and listen to def leppard led zeppelin and pac I also love all styles of music especially oldies but goodies
I'm an Irish caucasian and I was lucky to come up listening to Tupac. There's a mural of Tupac in Belfast. His impact crossed ethnic groups like no other.
Haha I'm the same ,30 years old ,il listen to anything and have eclectic taste in music ,why limit ourselves ??
This wasn't a dis track, it was pure genocide lol.... Forever Tupac, I sobbed like a child the night Pac was pronounced dead. I'm 47 now and reminiscing for the great days of hip hop. Love from Ireland.
Gay
@@-M0LE oooooooooo what an insult. Someone is secretly gay, and their lashing out 😅🤣😂
@@-M0LE You should arrange a date with P Diddy 😅🤣😂
Yea I was so depressed
forget this fool man , people who really loved pac still miss him every day , aint nothing gay about it , we still feel the pain of losing this great man on a daily basis
this is the distrack of the distracks basically
Tupac went to a studio where puff and biggie was there but he was "mobbed" and shot. Tupac survived and thought it was staged by biggie or badboys crew. Then biggie released a song "Who shot ya"..it was a diss track to Tupac. This song is Tupac's reply and it was and still is a massive hit. What a legend
So sad cuz they were friends; from what I’ve heard, I don’t think Biggie set him up but Pac certainly believed he did. Just sad
Actually "who shot ya" was not a diss track to Tupac Biggie made that song way before Tupac got shot. It was not released until the next album after Tupac released this diss track, Biggie tried to leave the incident alone after Tupac got shot because Puffy said don't react let it die down, don't release the song but Biggie released it anyways cause it was supposed to be on that album after PAC released his.
@@taroreads Actually Who Shot Ya came out 30 days after Tupac was shot, Tupac was still in jail when he heard Who Shot Ya. And if listen to clearly it sounds somewhat like a diss, so I can definitely see why Tupac the way he did. And on Life After Death Biggie was dissing Tupac, and at that time Tupac was already dead.
@@badman2843 was you there when Biggie wrote the song? If not how you know when he wrote it, it might be a diss idk at this point cause I have done some more research but he could of written it before Pac was shot then put it out just for his own purpose.
@@badman2843 Cause his label released it to put fuel on the flames.
Multiple people say that. This song has nothing to do with the hit on Pac.
We all struggle with anger and Pac expressed it honestly and sincerely, God bless 💯
When Pac came with his famous opening line JayVee reaction is priceless
Tupac was undoubtedly a master lyricist, I have every CD that he produced and I have those days where I just put them on, lay down, close my eyes and just listen.
He was brutal in this song but I love it and I love Tupac!
Biggie better lmao
@@gauthams6732 lmao funny

He was a bad ass mo fo with lots of talent,a shame hes gone...
Best diss song ever, it's so angry, I LOVE it!
Definitely!
" 'Hit 'Em Up' has been studied by and with academics, and it has been used as a part of a series of lessons for building the means to communicate with younger people. Its main role in these lessons is to define anger in rap music."
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hit_%27Em_Up#Aftermath
Tupac was my teen time love...he still is...
We call this coming in hottt🔥🔥🔥love to see the young people react!!!!!🤔🤣🤣I remember when this dropped in real time…. PAC played no games🔥🔥
The utmost disrespect was that this was made on biggie's beat
I love after the younger people hear the first couple verses and are like damn he is hard and then the last verse comes and there just in shock!
Tupac was a wonderful contradiction. Always raw. RIP. 😑
Aw hell yeah! Doesn't even matter what it is long as it's Pac. Been playing him all day. #Vibe ! ❤❤❤ (nothing like that 90s beat)
The biggest and best diss track of the 90’s 😂🔥
* of All time
The quintessential diss track. Tupac was a genius!
One of the greatest. Studied acting, poetry and ballet in school, btw. Even acted on-stage in some Shakespeare productions. Immensely talented. This era of rap was rather tumultuous.
2Pac is a Legend!!!
If you going to do some Pac, you need to do Dear Momma, California Love, and many many others.
I already covered dear mama it’s listed at the end in the outro
California Love yes
Biggie responded with: "Long kiss good night" and Mobb Deep responded with: "Drop a gem on 'em"
Yea….but they didn’t measure up!! Lol
@@hopel.edwards5912 Drop a gem on em was amazing. Aint nothing ever coming close to this diss tho
Hit em up the best diss ever, very raw
The song Ether by Nas is another diss track that is pretty good. It is aimed at Jay-z
The best diss track ever till this day (2021) and years to come. The great 2 pac & Outlawz, legends yo.Rest in peace brotha 2 Pac & Biggy small & Outlawz members Hussein fatal,Yaki Kadafi .

Best dis track ever and WELL DESERVEDLY
When this song came out Puffy told Biggie DO NOT RESPOND. There is a breakfast club interview with Puffy years after it came out and he talks about when they listened to the song the first time.
The sample was taken from DENNIS EDWARDS : LOOK NO FURTHER check it out. Also Eric B and Rakim used this sample alsom
2pac also known as Makaveli, Fatal, Kadafi and Mussolini all members of The Outlavz are deceased today.
The vibe to savage lyrics makes this a masterpiece
The music sampled from this song is originally a song called - Don’t look any further please please please check out. Sang by Dennis Edwards and Saheda Garret
Imagine never hearing this song before.. awesome!
It was funny and brutal song, but it was very sad that beff between East Coast and West Coast was out of control and we lost two greatest rappers in the world.
2 pac -First verse,2nd verse - Hussain Fatal (tha outlawz), 3rd verse - 2 pac,4th - Yaki Kadafi Tha Outlawz &Tupac
cousin),5th verse - E.D.I Mean ..then the outro,by Tupac, the outro of the centry yo.
2pac - Holla at me
When Tupac mentioned the name Idi Amin in this diss video ...understand Amin was African ruthlessly leader who slaughtered 500,000 thousand Uganda people. Additionally... Know and understand universities gave college courses on Tupac's poetic literacy and genius. This included U.C. Berkeley, and prestigious Harvard University. Tupac's poetry book that is taught is entitled "The Rose That Grew Through The Concrete". The was multidimensional. Also, his mindset is the way it is because of he way he was taught by his mother and his step-father who were Black revolutionaries in the Black Power Movement.
Did he ever react to Who shot ya from Biggie? That was the diss track that started it
Who shot ya wasn't a diss track. Biggie dropped that song shortly after pac got shot but it was just a coincidence. Pac took it as a taunt so it definitely did start this.
It's on 4 Life!
Biggie released a track called WHO SHOT YOU? this was his response. Diddy say the joint was cold and it still hurts him today!
Best diss ever!!
always a double feeling with this, great song but also part of the death of biggie and 2pac
The salt in the wound is that the tune is from a biggie song.
The best. The realist
🐐🕊💚
Jay, PLEASE react to Public Enemy. One of the most important groups in Hip-Hop history. I know you will dig them. Fight The Power, Welcome To The Terrordome, Can't Truss it.., Shut Em Down etc etc..So many great great songs. Peace out
Yeah!
While not necessarily a diss-track, Biggie's "Who Shot Ya" was interpreted by Tupac to be about him, though Biggie denied it. Tupac having been close friends with Biggie prior to his shooting felt betrayed to the point that he was going to burn all of those bridges down. Pac also suspected that Biggie and Puffy were behind his first shooting. Check out Tupac's "Gangsta Party" intro.
I love the way he says 2Pac and biggie couldn't touch Pac lyrically
Hey when you get a chance try to react to Ice Cube "No Vaseline" dis track. It was an amazing track and times when there was a lot of turmoil between Ice and N.W.A
They dont know about Quik!!
Yes!
Another post said if Tupac and em had done a diss track together it would have broke the universe! 😂😂😂😳💀💀
Tupac Shakur was born in New York and went to school in Maryland and then went to the West Coast. He was a baby black panther because of his mother, father, and godparents in NYC. I know this because my uncle was a Black Panther and they all traveled to California together and then came back to the East Coast together
I have never heard this song or singer before, this is not my thing as they sing so fast I can't make our what is said. I am a senior citizen and hope people can forgive me though he has a great voice. I can understand why so many people enjoy this type of music after all, music means different things to different people and I do enjoy watching this young man move to the music as well as sing. Take care and stay safe please my friends, love and hugs to you all Mary-Ellen UK
Many of 2Pacs wasn't all like this, many if his songs is about empowerment and etc. For instance, listen to "Keep Your Head Up" and "Dear Mama", I believe you'll enjoy those songs. 👍✌✌
He was a poet and lyricist.
You can also look for lyric videos. My grandmother loves them because she can hear & read but also pause.
Saludos desde Guadalajara, mi amigo mí hermano , es de Misisipi. André Jackson, ésa es la mejor musica..
You are moving because he rode that beat!

React to Tupac interview with Ed Gordon
The BEST part of this is he KILT Biggie on his own track! Biggie sampled the song first
,#TUPAC the greatest ever 👍💯
pac is different in an
Rip PAC
After the “Chino XL Fuck you too” he included Jay-Z but was removed last minute. Thats why you hear the track for a few seconds. Then the “die slow... my 44 make sure all your kids dont grow” comes in. (They convinced Pac that Jaz-Z shouldnt be included)
Best Dis track ever...Vaseline by Ice Cube
