I like that he said he's not afraid to copy and he's not afraid of being copied. It shows that he understands that competition is a healthy thing.👏 great interview.
It's not. I recommend you read 'From 0 to 1' from Peter Thiel.
I am thinking about a new type of restaurants: eating-spots
in eating-spots, food keeps changing, chefs also rotate
this is opposed to current restaurants,
thanks to this rotation of food and chefs, eating-spots are more powerful than restaurants,
along with that, there is an app,
people vote for the food that will be cooked in the next days.
menu is influenced by the live input of the people via an app
Well put. I love his attitude about change.
Love this guy honest and straight
First time watching lovely man . competition is indeed a healthy thing.
I was just searching for an interview where I could really listen to Mr. Tilman, and this is easily one of them. Great interviewer !!!!
The key words here do whatever it takes to keep up with innovation and to innovate yourself.
This is a SMART man!
Not bad questions....and great answers.
Great questions leading to a great interview. Thank you for sharing.

good interview, nice pacing, covered a lot fo ground
Love this guy!
I saw your show last night with the very talented glassblower. I believe her work was worth what she wanted. You have so much money, why undercut her at all. It's not always about the price of production, but a rare talent is hard to find. Get her back on another show and sign her the hell up to do your restaurants. Her talent will upgrade your restaurants to even a higher level of class and wonder. People need the magic of" out of this world wonder experience" that is as great as a mixed drink that brings on the feelings of elation and calm. You can charge more for the food and drinks with that type of lighting display as it is the most beautiful lighting I have ever seen in this world. It looks like she can produce other products that will be breath-taking to the consumer that you can market and bring in big bucks. Her products could be placed in the hotel's or restaurant gift store section. I understand your philosophy in sales versus production, but I understand her philosophy as well. Do reconsider this rare gem of a person who is very creative in many ways.
In business cost control and all that stuff is much more necassary than anything. You can find so many homeless talented people. At the end of the day talent doesn't pay the bills.
Awesome guy. Humble too
"So I kind of rolled the dice on my gaming division, all at the same time..."
LOL ---->> of course he would.
Morton's & The Chart house .. awesome food,!👌
Great question!
Thank you!
You remind me,of me when I was a kid,9 yrs old, selling pot holders,I had 10 people making them, still could not keep up,But learned alot, but grades fell, had to quit.
I always love listening to Tilman... he is such an amazing wealth of information but the title of this video is misleading. It should be something like 20 Random Questions with Tilman Fertitta
Congratulations 👏 and all the best for your success and happiness ❤️
So what about now after the corona happend to all of his bussines? How did he manage it? That interview I would like to see..
Ya Reno Golden Nugget REAL NICE LOL.
The interviewer is too strict on following his list of questions, his script. A lot of the questions needed more follow up. Thus the interview sounds and looks a bit jumpy.
Inspirational
Seafood restaurant at an aquarium. What's next? Exotic meats at a zoo?
nope, they will throw up right there. Probably setup cuisine based fast joints at different spots but don't open a full diner, you need to keep em moving around and yet not be tired by a heavy meal. Park cycles will attract kids to go back & forth b/w spots.

Esoteric Fitness one the best restaurant groups EVER!
The interview questions are going all over the place. Like there's no flow. Must be so confusing for the person answering.
Vegan, he is not, I can tell you that 🤨
Bring some of the family-friendly restaurants to the New Orleans area.
What is "moridaba"? That sounds like what he says. Not sure what he means - it's in context with profit and saving off the bottom line.
Amazing... i have to ask my mum for money for food

I have a billion dollar idea how do I reach your guest
Just remember, he was already born on third base, yes there are good ideas here, but you've got to sieve through the bs, and I can assure you, there's lots of red herrings here
Yes plus he had a solid foundation, you can still make it but, odds against you.

I bet, fossile fuel addiction is the biggest problem. If we solve this, we all gonna be rich nd innovative.
The cameraman should be fired. The whole background is burning. It is hurting my eyes.
