There is nothing wrong with using triggers especially when the drummer plays super fast like Origin, Archspire, Rings of 🪐, Beneath The Massacre, Cryptopsy, etc. Damn near every drummer in Technical Death Metal, Deathcore, Grindcore, etc. uses triggers. Vader’s drummer uses triggers live as well. It’s not cheating like most ignorant non musicians think. Triggers are for volume/sound purposes ONLY. The drummer still has to play in time and at designated speed. If a drummer messes up with triggers you can hear the mistake much more than without triggers.
@@bultronlagore4932 not really. Dynamics is a huge part of drumming, and triggers take out dynamics. Then the smallest whiff of a touch is enough on the kix for a full sound, that way you can attain speeds with triggers that you could never have without them.
