Am I the only one who noticed that the audio is off sync with the video? Some of the videos are the right way, but most aren't! Which is disappointing, since I really like these otherwise!

I don't think it's a "second language" since Australian speak English too.
They are just saying about talking in American accent in the show.

Nowdays AMERICAN ENGLISH counts in science as an own language. At least in Eurpe there are divided departments for British English and American English. Not unreasonable since there are a lot of differences not only in pronounciation and spelling but also in grammar. Already the musical MY FAIR LADY made fun about that situation by letting sing Professor Higgins ... even in America where English is almost extinct. Good for some laughs but not totaly wrong To Athitaya Pal: That is an INTERNATIONAL FACT that American English is different.

@@rogerlynch5279 The departments are divided because they are about teaching literature and culture as well. That’s the difference in the departments. There are only English *linguistic* departments with both British English and American English

I loved the idea of the script writers to let PETER and OLIVIA speak in Chinese, German and Greek. Only mistake, Peters German and Greek is so broken no natural speaker can understand him For German i can voutch for it and I also found a commentary of a Greek fan with a comment to that language as well. Just Joshua Jackson seem to believe he did it well.
