- Join us as we convert our Peugeot Boxer 2019 L3H2, with zero experience, into our dream camper-van from scratch... is it going to make our dreams come true or is it going to be the project of our nightmares?
In this episode we fit our gas system. We ordered an under slung gas system from lpgshop.co.uk to fit our particular make and model of van. we fitted this ourselves and was surprisingly straight forward. The kit itself didn't come with any printed instructions, but they were very easy to find a detailed guide online
Fitting instructions are here: lpgshop.co.uk/underslung-tank-fitting-1/
Hi buddy, you’re really cracking on with that now Nice job hats off to you for tackling it only have one reservation would it not be a good idea to have some sort of deflection plate across the front of it in case a stone or brick or anything you were travelling over hit the bottom. Could it possibly puncture the gas chamber? Only a question. Hope you don’t mind me asking. Safety and all that. Martin
We had to fit one behind it. But that was for the exhaust to shield it from the heat.
Or actually might be able Infront. I can't remember where the exhaust was
Hi, Great video and explanation, thanks.
I'm converting the same van as yours and at the moment I'm planning the water and gas tanks.
A question: I see you had the gas tank alloy cover facing the front of the van, mostly I've seen them facing the rear. Is facing the front ok and does it conform to the gas regs for campervan gas installation?
Cheers Ron
Hi Ron.
Thanks for the comments and question. To be honest I did not give it much thought.
It has a chip guard plate Infront and a beam behind it so I naturally opted for this way around. The other consideration Is that it's inches from the exhaust system, so needs to be back away from the heat
