Some of the great scientists worked for ISRO and they were not IITians but passionate people its not like people who didn't get job join ISRO. One more point for the US space program US took all the germen scientists which used to work for Nazi germany and actually they built the foundation for NASA.

IIT and ISRO are two separate organisation. One can be best in IIT, but that doesn't translate to similar performance in ISRO and vice versa. ISRO has its own college to train students to serve ISRO. They have a decent budget to create and keep best talent. Indian Railways has a larger budget, and much larger workforce. For an IITian paywise railways is much ludicrous compared to ISRO. ISRO has several good scientific projects, but not good communicators to reach out untapped talent across the country. IITians are valued in NASA, ESA, and even JAXA. ISRO projects are run by third-party vendors who can pay better than ISRO. ISRO scientists have become more of project managers who suffer from the 'Ostrich effect.'
Dream is of a nation which comes from head of state. Nasa in the 60s had 10% of US GDP as its budget. ISRO as announced by PM has plans for Moon Landing by an Indian and Bhartiya Antriksha Station after Gaganyaan. Pls see that ISRO is still awarded less than 12000 Cr for doing everything right from satellite application like communication remote sensing launch activities deep space research. The money in context is less than one quarter profit of SBI.

I would politely disagree with you due to following reasons - 1) in the start of the video you compared Indian Space Research Organisation and spacex. In my perspective, this kind of a comparison is illogical, because SpaceX is a private company which only has to make launch vehicles or rockets for their clients to send their satellites into orbit.Meanwhile, ISRO not only has to make rockets for itself, but it also has to make Earth Imaging Satellites, GPS Satellites, Radio Satellites, and Weather Monitoring Satellites for our country first, and then with the remaining money it has to do space exploration programs like the Chandrayaan and Mangalyaan which is not easy. 2) Also, the data showed in the video is slightly misleading in my opinion, because the SpaceX startup was started with a funding of $100 million in which they only had to demonstrate their technology, they had to show that they can build a rocket and launch it, after that they got a lot of funding from NASA in billions, while ISRO was given $740 million in 2002 to make all the satellites for communication, weather, and military, and also develop rockets as a side project with that money. 3) In the video, you said that ISRO has no vision to do any work, but if you see any interview of ISRO's chairman, Mr. S. Somnath, after the launch of Chandrayaan-3, he is again and again saying that ISRO plans to send humans to the moon by the year 2040, and all the missions of Chandrayaan series, be it Chandrayaan-4 or Chandrayaan-5, are going to be a successive of each other which point to that main goal. So I don't think that ISRO don't have a vision. It is just clear to the public now. 4) Yes, I agree that ISRO's Public Relations Department is not up to the mark, but it has improved itself after the launch of Chandrayaan-3 when government started giving more funds than before, and I hope that it will get even better in the future. Govt must privatise ISRO, remove reservations, age limits and budget constraints, let money flow into ISRO, ofcourse control some stakes in ISRO by the govt. to prevent fall into foreign countries but it has to be privatised. A lot of IT professionals can then be indicted into the space program and then make India jump leaps.. otherwise we will be way behind. Compare SpaceX vs ISRO! DRDO also must be privatised, reservations and age limits should go away and IT employees should get opportunities.
There is reservation everywhere across government sector. Most candidates lack big dream. ISRO is like Indian culture where big dreams aren't appreciated. ISRO doesn't market it's projects, but they only market the people. It's not a transparent organisation.

Govt must privatise ISRO, remove reservations, age limits and budget constraints, let money flow into ISRO, ofcourse control some stakes in ISRO by the govt. to prevent fall into foreign countries but it has to be privatised. A lot of IT professionals can then be indicted into the space program and then make India jump leaps.. otherwise we will be way behind. Compare SpaceX vs ISRO! DRDO also must be privatised, reservations and age limits should go away and IT employees should get opportunities.
There is no reservation for scientist job in ISRO.
There is reservation everywhere across government sector. Most candidates lack big dream. ISRO is like Indian culture where big dreams aren't appreciated. ISRO doesn't market it's projects, but they only market the people. It's not a transparent organisation.

ISRO is going to wrong place for hiring. Once ISRO should post open recruitment. The exam fees only will be huge earnings for ISRO. But alas.
ISRO already have a good budget. They haven't reached out to the people across the country. It is highly regional organization infested with politics.
People want to work in commercial sector like pharma, agro chemicals, specialty, consultancy work where there is money..... no one likes to work in space and defense sector....simple.

Ye hamare India ka PR problem universal hote ja raha hai. Geopolitics me bhi ham jo Grants, Line of credits, Infra projects dete hn hamare neighbours ko wo unke citizens ko pata hi nahi chalta. Maldives, Srilanka etc are the examples. On the other hand China har infra project pe paint kar ke likh deta hai ki "Love/Gift from China to the people of......"
