For the pieces that go in to the lid you can use 2 tyre Schrader valves they work great they have grooves on the rubber that will make a nice seal on the lid then just remove the inside of the one valve for the smoke to come out and the hose. Can fit on there
you'll save yourself a lot of headache if you go pull a couple old tubes out of the trash of your local motorcycle shop, motorcycle tubes have steel threaded inlets with nuts that can be used to tightly secure all your air intake and exhaust to the jar lid, just add a the appropriate sized metal washer and cut a rubber sealing washer from the the inner tube you just removed the threaded air inlet from. no lathe of waiting for glues to set, you can build the whole thing in minutes and it will be way better then using plastic pen body's and caps........
We have found a lot of leaks with the first one we made. Cheap Soldering iron with the plastic in front works a lot better. The bicycle pump gives a lot of control so you can give a good pump and watch as you’re pumping. I also like the glass, you can see when you have enough smoke to give a pump. If you try it let me know how it works. And if there’s any improvements let me know👍
Mineral spirits or commercial fog juice for smoke machines (same thing, just in bigger quantity). You can get the fog juice at anyplace that sells DJ equipment or a Halloween store.
I’m trying to do this right now and no smoke is being made the soldering iron is red hot inside the glass container. Could my jar be too big, what could be the problem?
Most of the videos like this one are prepared in advance so that nothing goes wrong. Cheap soldering irons don't reach the temperature that mineral spirits combust. Most of these videos are bogus but give it a shot if you got nothing else going on. You'd have a better results if you took a Monster Bong Rip & blew it down the line. But remember to look for the leak. Don't space out & forget. You could also use a bottle of Map gas & have your buddy flick his lighter at the connections(not the tank or gas cap that would be a Dick Move). Be Safe. Don't attempt the Map gas procedure. Bad joke? Ya it was.

What was the contents in the jar that would create smoke? Looks like a rag of some sorts. What else?

What do u use for fuel in your smoke machine..mine doesn't produce much with baby oil or lamp oil
