Charlie Rose is one of the best interviewers of all time because he genuinely understands a wide range of material/topics without faking it and the guests respect him a lot for that. No one can match him.
stretchchris1 tru tho, they still refer to things from the 1900's as really old and I'm like 'dude the houses down my road are from 1600, welcome to Britain'
OnceUponAPiano stretchchris1 yes! in the us 200 years is a long time and in uk 200 miles is a long distance. we balance each other beautifully. p.s. best ad ever: a british aways billboard seen during the u.s. bicentennial "come home, all is forgiven" lol
He's among a handful of journalists and presenters in popular culture who I feel can be called legends of their profession; sincerely. He seems so fit and healthy for 75. Here's'to watching many more years through Rose coloured glasses
+Dilton X Whilst I absolutely respect your opinion, and whilst he does seem like a true gentleman, every interview I've seen him carry out, which is usually an interview with somebody I'm exceptionally interested in, I find he talked too much and rarely allowed the interviewee, whose thoughts and opinions I actually cared about, to truly finish a sentence or explanation. It's particularly frustrating when the interviewees are rarely interviewed at all.
These two are interesting to watch since they are both highly skilled interviewers. Creates an interesting dynamic between guest and host where they kind of end up interviewing each other.
bargh70 - yeah, and you could tell how confident and expectant of a win he was, when he looked totally shocked, surprised and dumbstruck as his victory was announced.
That was kind of a weird commercial break right in the middle of the conversation. I guess the director didn't like the SUBJECT or the way it was portrayed.
Sobering experience? not going to happen in this case; this is a permanent high and he had made it very clear right from the start. The campaign strategy was a nothing-to-lose kind; much like when you bankrupt a business, over and over - only here it was asserting a moral and intellectual bankruptcy.. Challenge everybody; except the Russian hackers and spies - they're great people
I don't mind this so much if both parties seem genuinely enthused to see and speak with each other. Not so much in a social setting among multiple people where they are constantly talking over each other confused by the mixed energy.
I agree. But in this setting it feels manufactured. And it is. This is a genre of television aimed largely at people who are catching one last program before going to bed but are not wishing to be put to sleep :)
Microfoot sexually assaulted me (e.g. how easy and pointless accusations of anything are which is why official courts and convictions are the only things which should matter in a society founded on the principles of right to a fair trial)
Charlie Rose is not just the most respectable newsman I can think of, but one of the most respectable people on this planet.
Adam Winkelmann meh you still think that?
This comment did not age well

"...60 minutes, which has been on the air since the dawn of mankind." Trueee
funny hearing yanks refer to anything being old.
stretchchris1 tru tho, they still refer to things from the 1900's as really old and I'm like 'dude the houses down my road are from 1600, welcome to Britain'
Our country is young what's ur point?

that's just like your opinion man.
Hindsight is 20/20.....
Charlie has such a soothing voice
Good to see you, Mr. Rose, and thank you for being there for us. Keep keeping them talking straight.
Charlie Rose's statement on President elect "situation" and "challenges" in light of 'Presidential history' gave me hope. Thank you Charlie.
If I'm like that at 75, I'll be pretty happy
ren hoek - I'll settle for reaching 75 years of age.
Charlie R. One of the best interviewer.
That Charlie Rose kid has some talent. He may be going places.
I am so impressed with men and women that are still passionate about their work well into their golden age. Extremely fit too! #lifegoal
He's giving off the vibe of a 'rising star'.. how much higher can he get in his field? sheesh.
Love his energy coming in the show 🏃
I just watched his interview with john stewart and thought, huh i wonder if he's gonna be on the late show- next day he is. GOD HAS REVEALED HIMSELF

Coolest newscaster in the US
He looks really really good for his age
I love what I do and I take it pretty easy, you don't want to finish everything.
GO CHARLIE
IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY
These two are interesting to watch since they are both highly skilled interviewers. Creates an interesting dynamic between guest and host where they kind of end up interviewing each other.

"If it makes you comfortable, do it." What about the other person?
YOUR AWESOME MAAAAAAN -.-

AMERICA NEEDS CHARLIE ROSE
this is the first time I have been so early...
1080p? thats new. I wander what changed, I notice James Corden is still at 720
"If it makes you comfortable do it"
It's exactly what Trump thought at first place when he decided to run for president.
Well he succeeded didn't he.
bargh70 - yeah, and you could tell how confident and expectant of a win he was, when he looked totally shocked, surprised and dumbstruck as his victory was announced.
bargh70, and we'll all loose.
Palliative words.
Bad news about Charlie Rose guys
I love that he's wearing sneakers. Any 75yo person should wear comfy shoes/clothes.
well...this aged well :)))))))))
Does he still make "the Charlie Rose Show"?
Colbert is such a Doink!
That was kind of a weird commercial break right in the middle of the conversation.
I guess the director didn't like the SUBJECT or the way it was portrayed.
What's the red thing on his suit?
Oh, I love Stephen, but he cut Charlie Rose twice mid sentence :|
What do you know about the best ways to keep world peace, Stephen? The world's gone pretty bloody during our "peace".
those sneakers are fire.

Tonight on 60 minutes we'll talk about how much sleep you need to not be drunk from the night before
This video isn’t aging well, is it? ;)
It might have been nice if either of them had let the other finish a sentence.
I don't mind this so much if both parties seem genuinely enthused to see and speak with each other. Not so much in a social setting among multiple people where they are constantly talking over each other confused by the mixed energy.

I'm early it's time for a joke
Donald Trump
Tronald Dump?
Actually, the abbreviation would be: PUSAOr, in the case of the topic of much of this video, PEUSA
'We're two weeks away from the inauguration of Donald Trump...' [silence]
"He's just a guy." ...who's been accused of sexual assault. But whatever, right?
Microfoot sexually assaulted me (e.g. how easy and pointless accusations of anything are which is why official courts and convictions are the only things which should matter in a society founded on the principles of right to a fair trial)
or... because there is a table. =D
Finally Colbert is getting real about Trump, I guess the NETWORKS got the MESSAGE
If it makes you comfortable do it. That did not age well.
All good but he's wearing running shoes with his suit lol
Wait...
Are those sneakers?
Charlie is truly the best!!He is not only a legend but truly very special!Thank you for all u do Charlie!!
