- 2 fried large onions, paste
1 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
1/2 cup mustard oil
2 teaspoons fennel powder
1 teaspoons dry ginger powder
2 teaspoons red chili powder
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
4-5 green cardamom pods
4-5 cloves
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
Prepare Chicken Mince:
In a bowl, mix minced chicken with half of the ginger-garlic paste and a pinch of salt. Shape into small round balls (ristas).
Marinate the Ristas:
Cooking the Ristas:
Heat mustard oil in a heavy-bottomed pan. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
Add the remaining ginger-garlic paste and cook for a couple of minutes. Add cardamom pods and cloves.
Carefully add the marinated chicken ristas and cook until they are browned on all sides.
Simmering:
Pour in the remaining marinade and let it simmer on low heat until the oil separates and the chicken is cooked through.
Final Touch:
Adjust salt and spice levels according to your taste. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Serve:
Serve the Chicken Rista hot with steamed rice or Kashmiri naan.
