ELIZABETH TAYLOR MEMORABILIA - Raintree County

As I start to unpack my 30 year Elizabeth Taylor memorabilia collection, I am bewildered as to what to showcase next. In this video I will share I will be sharing some amazing stories and artifact within a three part episode. I will be showcasing the an original crinoline hoop dress worn by Miss Taylor as part of the Walter Plunket designed costumes for Raintree Country.
This episode also talk to other events that happened as an overflow to the filming of this great MGM epic. The picnics shared on the banks of the Dix river and the after party/ dinner where Elizabeth Taylor left behind several personal items.
I will continue to unravel some really awesome items from my collection and personal connect to the late and great Dame Elizabeth Taylor. Many of these items I am merely the custodian of and it is my duty to share them with loving Elizabeth Taylor fans in an effort to keep her legacy and relevance alive.

Where are you from, and would you happen to have a copy of Raintree County? If so, which copies do you have?

Hi Shane I am not sure. I think they are just standard DVD releases. Sorry I can't help you further.

What copy is the VHS? There are two from America - a fullscreen tape with the number 65129 on it, and a widescreen tape numbered 65130 - that contain the full version of the movie. Most copies only contain the general release version (which runs 168 minutes on an NTSC copy but runs 160 minutes on a PAL copy), but these two tapes, called the “Reconstructed Original Version”, run 187 minutes and contain several scenes and the full overture and entr’acte whereas the shorter tapes do not.

I only have the fullscreen one currently but the widescreen tape is currently the movie I want the most. 🤞

Terrible movie. A novel that couldn't be properly filmed. Wonderful soundtrack, Taylor never so beautiful.
