Thank you for braving the cold and turning winter gloom into a magical wonderland, Laura! I think many of us viewers watch you, not only for garden tips, but to lift our spirits in witnessing your joyful energy. Wishing Happy Holidays to All. 💗 🎄 🤶
Watching you decorate was such a relief after 8 days of decorating my house! Lots of misplaced must- have items! Frustrating, but eventually found my handmade gnomes and extra lights. I am DONE!
Good morning. You fill our hearts with joy even on the coldest days . Just got home to Albuquerque from a trip to Boise for a wedding and took a field trip to Andrew's got to meet your Mom, Dad and Monica what a treat I was so excited I cried, have been following you since Benjamin was a baby. The store is just delightful everything one would need for a beautiful garden and more. My daughter, who is not a gardener was impressed. I got my hoodie and several ornaments. Chatted with Mom,Dad And Monica. It was a cold foggy day but got to check off my bucket list. Sorry I missed you. Mom mentioned you were in filming the day before, maybe next time. Have a wonderful Christmas . Thank you for bringing such joy to us all along with everyone involved you are so appreciated
Laura, a couple of years ago I treated myself to new baking sheets and saved the old ones. I use those anytime I want to repot houseplants without having to do it outside. They catch all of the extra dirt and/or water that would otherwise wind up on my counter.
The natural design of the dressed Hartley pots and the huge centerpiece of the former fountain are a perfect reflection of your decorating sensibility, Laura, for your outdoor spaces. What's fascinating to me is watching your evolution of thought process in design over the years that has matured to such a high level. You've truly outdone yourself with your holiday decorations this year!
Thankyou so much, Laura and Aaron! I love how you just incorporate us into your activities as though we are just standing there..I WAS !! lol....I was holding my coffee cup when Aaron walked in and actually made a motion toward my coffee pot to see if there was enough coffee to offer him some! LOL
I love the garland around the window it looks like a picture frame and it makes the view outside stand out more it’s not like just looking through a window
The winter wonderland frost is beautiful! The greens in the pots are perfection! The garland in the window with the lights is going to put off a beautiful glow! I enjoy your videos so much! I have looked forward to them every morning since I found your channel about 3 years ago. It's been a great distraction for me and a good way to figure out how and what my garden needs at different times of year. This morning we are getting a cold rain that is much needed. Wishing you peace and joy each day!❤😊
that frost is just so magical... wow!! so happy Aaron got some footage - it's like you're living in a Disney movie, haha... i know it's gotta be oh so cold but what a holiday experience! i love these arrangements this year... simply elegant.. and the way you frame the doors and windows with garland is just so pretty and festive... love your home and your creative decorating! 🥰❤thanks for the video!! 🥰❤
Oh my goodness, the container looks stunning!! When you turned the Fir branches diagonally, I was a little skeptical, but in the end I absolutely love it!!! The garland over the kitchen window is the sweetest and the frost everywhere looks so magical…🥰
I was just out foraging in my garden for greens to put in my front porch pots. I learned something new today! Placing them at an angle definitely helps fill in the center more 🙌🏻. Thank you for always sharing your design secrets 😊.
Thank you for mentioning Jack Frost! My Gram used to talk about him, and you brought back great memories, and described Laura's frosty garden perfectly!❤
I know that everyone loves the summer with the abundance of color. But my favorite time of the year is winter with its peaceful calm, and simple beauty. Thank you so much for giving us glimpses of your gorgeous winter garden. I'd love to get winter tour!
That was fun! Laura you are so kind and your delivery is so natural you make me feel as if I'm standing in front of you as I watch and you chat, and do all the work. Anyway love, love, love today's vid. A friend in florida aka zone 9b.😊
❄️Awe love all that frost, I'm getting in the mood to decorate, been missing my husband passed away 16yrs, 8mos ago 😢 Watching you rChristmas Videos has help me out thank you Laura. The topiaries look really great and the one outside everything looks great. Thanks for sharing. Have a good evening😊❄️👋
From the moment I start decorating for the holidays, I never really stop until they're over! I think it's fun to add things throughout the whole season. Thanks, Laura, for the inspiration. Have a wonderful day!
Beautiful job as always and love the topiary’s in the kitchen with the widow garland. I would like the addition of red lanterns outside to bring red from your portico porch and garland. Please think about a Garden Answer Coffee Table Book. All the best shot’s of your garden thru the year’s . Best Seller
Here in South Western Ontario Canada we call those conditions “ hoar frost “ - forms when water vapour in air comes into contact with solid surface that are aready below freezing point.
You hit the jackpot on THE MOST gorgeous case of seeded eucalyptus! We ordered some last week at the flower shop, and while it was pretty, it was not as spectacular as the bundles you are using. I live in MN and use magnolia and seeded euc in our outdoor pots all the time and have never had any trouble with them holding up in the elements. They just freeze in place and emit beauty! Your designs are stunning!♡
@carroldahl461 I watch at 6 am also. Members are able to watch the night before. They pay like $5/month for that perk. This person obviously watched the night before without being a member. So I was wondering how?
We drove from Washington state on Sunday through your Ontario on the way to Arizona. After going over the snowy pass, we came to your gorgeous display of winter. The silver frost was mesmerizing. Touching the crisp ice so fine on the plants, was amazing. You really live the seasons.
Hi Laura and Aaron! I've been watching your videos lately and has noticed a lot of foggy and frosty days you have had. I have figured out why it is so foggy and frosty. It is called Air Stagnation, it formed due to an inversion near the surface that will continue to trap pollutants. This Air Stagnation is very bad for your lungs and can cause respiratory issues. The young and the old can be effected with this. Symptoms include coughing, difficult breathing, and headaches. I just wanted to get you a heads up what the heavy frost meant. I just wanted to keep the family safe and healthy! You have awesome videos! I watch them every day! I am a 13 year old and very interested in gardening. I. live in a zone 5a in Northern Nebraska! We have only had about 2 inches of snow as well!
So nice of a young adult to be looking our for you and the family , Laura. Never heard of Air Stagnation in New England . Thank you for the information. Merry Christmas
Wow. Thanks for the info. Interesting.. never know that. We have heavy fog in our area here in California. Zone 9b. What you have found out is indeed interesting info. I will keep this in mind. Thank you. Keep doing what you love. 😊
It takes freezing fog to create the heavy frost on everything. In really cold weather, there is often more fog near rivers. Laura and Aaron live within a stone’s throw from the Snake River.
The frost is beautiful…. everything looks amazing!!! I could just stare at your garden & enjoy its winter beauty…. A slow & low drone scan would be so cool…a drone garden tour so we can enjoy the frost & fog….that would be awesome!!! ❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
Love your videos. Your commentary just flows so easily. Your property is a dream come true. You and your family are so talented and gifted. So easy going, and while I just discovered your videos, I feel like I know you and your family. So humble. Never change. Watching from AZ.
You are my daily inspiration!! You have such a beautiful property, I was wondering why you guys don't have dogs? It would make a great episode of you went to the shelter to adopt a couple of new friends!!! ❤ who's with me??? ❤❤🐕🐕
Everything looks so pretty dressed in frost. Love the containers. The garland is so sweet and the topiaries are perfect flanking your sink. Have a blessed day everyone.
The containers are just elegant, well done. Can not wait for the frost video, the outside is just magical. Some areas could be used in a movie! Thank you.
That is Rime Ice! It is caused by the fog and cold temperatures! Looks so pretty! Love your channel and watch every morning with my tea. Those pots are gorgeous! Love your inside decorations, as well!
I love that arrangement with layers. Frost looks great. Oh, and by way great idea to put in that wonderful gate. I cannot imagine people just driving in uninvited.
What's cool about the yellow-twig dogwood, is that it can actually take root by doing this. I've done something similar in my zone 7b garden a few years ago and sure enough, most of the stems rooted! 😂😂
Good morning, Laura ☕️I love the giant urn arrangement! 😍All the textures play so well together. Looking forward to the frost video! Should be equally as pretty 🤩. Have a Blessed Day 😊🐈🐈
I also have color likes and dislikes that I go through. I would plant the yellow grouping for sure in dirt lands but also so another grouping of red somewhere else! Your creative mood will always shift. We all change and have different moods. I love the creation of all of your beds with that freeing creativity you exercise! Truly a beautiful expression of you everywhere. ❤️
Laura, that Arrangement is absolutely beautiful. You are so gifted talented. How you can take shrubs and make them into such beautiful Arrangements always amazes me. Thanks for sharing❤
The large container is fabulous! I was surprised that you were repotting in your kitchen! You really didn’t make much of a mess, either. The topiaries are sweet!
Laura: I love how you duplicated the big container just how you did the two by the Hartley. It is so GORGEOUS. I was so happy when you put the seeded Eucalyptus on the others and was just as happy with it in the big one. But everything you did today was Wonderful.
Yahoo for multi colored lights. White lights look nice in trees and shrubs but on the ground a mixture of white and multi are necessary. Lol Hope everyone has a blessed Christmas season full of peace and joy. Merry Christmas everyone✝️🌲
And here comes Douglas! Love the big arrangement in the fountain and really like the topiaries!! Such a beautiful landscape with everything outlined in hoar frost!
I just wanted to say thank you for inviting us into your home (spotless!). You work sooo hard and it shows. We appreciate you Laura for being humble and remaining the best gardening content creator.
Hey Laura! I love the frozen look of the garden! I nearly missed your window boxes in this video. I understand it was more work for you and they were probably causing damage on the walls, but they looked so full and beautiful when they were planted! The windows look somewhat naked right now... It made me a little sad... Anyway, I love todays arrangements! And yes!!!!!! A frost tour sounds really good!!!!!
Beautiful display in the kitchen I love the topiaries it’s simple and so festive. Keep going Laura I’m having fun watching you decorate for Christmas. Happy Holidays
Really enjoyed this. Your kitchen window looks so beautiful! And can’t wait to see the frost video. Here in California the frosty weather is a rare sight so when it happens, it’s a real a treat. Thanks in advance!

Everything is so gorgeous! I don’t understand how Laura manages so well in extreme weather, no hat in the summer no hat nor gloves in the winter. I’d have frost bite 😅
Ha,ha. My soil was so hard in my outdoor pot when trying to add greenery that we took it in the house to defrost. I never thought to add hot water. Now I know.
It looks magical and eerie outside! Perfect for a family picture …wearing all black with a touch or red Or all white with a touch red! Beautiful arrangements Laura~
Just my two cents. Chip and Joanna Gaines would listen to your dreams about your house design. You have talked about this for so long. I think this would be the greatest!!!
Who else was holding there breath with the bag of soil on the edge of the counter 🫣🤣 loved all the projects today !
Oh my goodness, yes. I was already picturing it flopping over and Laura flashing a “look” to the camera 😅
So glad that your getting footage of the heavy frost.....A prime example of why you'd want winter interest plants
Thank you for braving the cold and turning winter gloom into a magical wonderland, Laura! I think many of us viewers watch you, not only for garden tips, but to lift our spirits in witnessing your joyful energy. Wishing Happy Holidays to All. 💗 🎄 🤶

I'm jealous! I was able to stop in at Andrew's when traveling last summer. Hoping to see Laura. But yes, maybe next time
Sounds like a wonderful day!

That arrangement outside of the Hartley is gorgeous! Thanks for showing how beautiful simplicity can be!
Great tip about placing the greenery at a diagonal in the pot! Love the way it fills in.
That is a beautiful hoar frost, it’s even better when admiring it from indoors with a hot beverage 😂
Thankyou so much, Laura and Aaron! I love how you just incorporate us into your activities as though we are just standing there..I WAS !! lol....I was holding my coffee cup when Aaron walked in and actually made a motion toward my coffee pot to see if there was enough coffee to offer him some! LOL

Lightbulb moment for me on how you place those fir branches. That is fantastic! I never really considered that position.
A family picture with the beautiful frosty trees backdrop would be glorious!!!
I thought the same thing the other day under the willow
Oh my goodness, the container looks stunning!! When you turned the Fir branches diagonally, I was a little skeptical, but in the end I absolutely love it!!! The garland over the kitchen window is the sweetest and the frost everywhere looks so magical…🥰
The frosty touches and the garland are my favorite parts too-so magical!

Great projects today. You had hooks until the painters came this summer. Will you paint the new hooks white to blend in?🥰

The planter reminds me of how they decorate for Christmas at Williamsburg. It just gets more and more beautiful with every video!
Thanks for yours wonderful videos,I learn of lots if I can say so myself from yours videos
Ha,ha. My soil was so hard in my outdoor pot when trying to add greenery that we took it in the house to defrost. I never thought to add hot water. Now I know.

It looks magical and eerie outside! Perfect for a family picture …wearing all black with a touch or red
Or all white with a touch red!
Beautiful arrangements Laura~
Just my two cents. Chip and Joanna Gaines would listen to your dreams about your house design. You have talked about this for so long. I think this would be the greatest!!!
That would be my dream collaboration.
Absolutely gorgeous frosty landscape & view from your kitchen window & your topiary’s are beautiful.
Love that fountain turned planter! The scale, the look - gorgeous there!
Loved all of the projects.
Magical Wonderland...
