It is, isn't it? I think that's the attraction of the Bbridgerton world: even though it is about finding love, we see some heartshattering examples of the loss of it and how it influences a person.
Ngl I wanted to cry so bad but someone was saying the director confirmed that they just went their separate ways. It was gonna be a segment included in the show but they just scraped it, can’t remember why.
In the book that shonda and julia written, Queen Charlotte and King George knew about them as they saw them dancing in the garden. King George knew about Reynolds' sexual preference as they are bestfriends and grew up together. Hence, Reynolds was the first person who noticed the king's illness when they were younger as he mentioned in the book.
I loved that we weren’t only able to see the King and Queen’s backstory but also some of Brimsley’s at the same time. In both seasons 1 and 2, not many people saw Brimsley as an important character because he was only seen as Queen Charlotte’s main attendant. But now, I think many see a new light to him and will be for the rest of the Bridgerton series.
I hope they give him a little bit more when Charlotte's also onscreen. More of his personality, his dynamic w Charlotte, all that. Just small glimpses.
It breaks my heart at the very end to see him dancing and reminiscing the good old days when he was in love it brings tears to my eyes. Everybody deserves love in this world!
I’m gonna write my own resolution.❤ She asked that question because her and the king already knew of their affection. So in a way she was trying to play it off and act like she didn’t know. But they lived a beautiful life working, along side, together. Watching the king and queen raise their children. Unmarried. Catching moments. Until he suddenly passed away four years ago. But they definitely saw each other as old men. And lived as close and as lovingly as they were allowed to that that timed permitted.
in the book adaption of thr queen charlotte season, lottie and george saw them dancing in the garden and george knew reynold's was gay bc they grew up together
Brimsley is the only one who truly knows queen Charlotte. He is the most dedicated staff. I cried when queen Charlotte said take two steps back. He is a loyal friend and servant.
My ending is that this was Charlotte's way of making peace. She knew she was dying in 1818 (which is when the series takes place one year prior) as she prepared to leave the world. She forces her children to find happiness of a real marriage and produce an heir and is telling Brimsley that when she dies to go back and be happy with Reynolds.
I think he's dead :( but idw to think that so sometimes i just pretend Reynolds is together with the king and rarely see other people except for the king and the household maids ...😢
Brimsley and Reynolds were so devoted to their roles in protecting the King and Queen It had to pull them apart as George's mental health declined. But man they were a helluva couple and it was a helluva ride. I hope they got some semblance of a happy ending.
i think that as the king became more secluded and reynolds' main duty is to be with the king, reynolds wasn’t able to meet brimsley as frequently. hopefully they're still together, even if distant.
Tbh, I always thought Brimsley was a bitter person who never bothered with anyone, but when I saw the scenes with him and Reynolds, especially that dancing scene, it killed me. I cried so hard became I figured they would grow old together at the palace but Brimsley was alone 🥺😔
I think they're purposefully keeping the whereabouts of Reynolds a secret so that in coming seasons there'll be twist about him or a surprise entry 🤞🤞😍🥹
i’m predicting that he is always in the whereabouts of the king which is why we can never see him! i do foreshadow that the kings death is to come and we will see him
@@parkjanhi8187 but we didn’t know they were prepping us for a love story in queen charlotte with not only the king and queen but with the servants and that was amazing
I googled what happened to Reynolds and found out that someone from the team (I think it was the writer) has said that Reynolds is still alive during the Bridgerton story.... So perhaps he looks after George (he'll always be Just George to me ❤❤❤) or has taken on some other responsibility in the palace.... Maybe Reynolds and Brimsley were driven apart by their responsibilities and commitment to give first priority to the crown.... Like how Brimsley said that we're all dedicated to the king, we all live for him.... Hoping to see even a brief appearance of Reynolds just to mend my heart though.... It'll be devastating if Brimsley lost Reynolds for real
@StarzfornatIt was also probably because they were separated from each other when George and Charlotte were. Brimsley had to follow the queen, for Reynolds the king. So when they split, Brimsley and Reynolds also had to split.
I read the books but it's been so long. Another book reader commented that he had passed 4 years prior to this scene. It seems about right but very sad. The queen knew so this entire conversation is for the reader/audience for some backstory context. Looks like they did really well acting this scene out.
This entire show made me and my sister cry from episode 1 to the final episode . There wasn't an episode i watched from beginning to end that i didn't cry or tear up at
I wonder if Shonda and Netflix will do a future set spin off after getting through the immediate Bridgerton family. Either their descendants or a new family.
The way they look into each others eyes is the look of pure love❤ Renyolds only left because he was no longer needed as the King George has gone ill and he has memory loss😢
É tão triste 😢😢😢 quanta gente sofre assim! 😔 É tudo tão cruel... A sociedade que julga, as Leis que nem sempre ajudam, a igreja que diz que vai pro inferno, a família que expulsa... Me headcanon that it was one of George's bouts of madness that accidentally wounded Reynolds as he was trying to help him. And Brinsley could only be by his side as he passed and carry on with the duty day by day all alone.
It's heartbreaking to see Brimsley dancing alone at the end
It is, isn't it? I think that's the attraction of the Bbridgerton world: even though it is about finding love, we see some heartshattering examples of the loss of it and how it influences a person.
I don't think its heart breaking, it shows even when they are gone we don't stop loving them. I think its very sweet.

there's only three options to what happened to reynolds: he's dead, he retired or quit his job, or he was fired from his job.
the book says he and the king were very close since childhood so him quitting his job or was fired from his job won’t rlly make sense to me :(
