Seems like you're teaching spiccato and sautillé as one. I think there's a lot of confusion around this, as the former does use arm motion + pinky and index balance, but the latter is as you say more of a wrist motion where there is no individual impulse for each note.
There is definitely not consensus on what is called spiccato and what is called sautille. However, for uninformed viewers, this video really should have a disclaimer. This entire video is about sautille as a majority of people learn it. This could definitely be confusing for less experienced players. Like I said, some people blur the lines between the two, but I've never seen anybody else teach the entirety of sautille and call it spiccato and, in the same video, not teach at all what most people call spiccato. There's no mention of the distinction between the two at all, no matter what you're calling them.

Man, your edits are hilarious. Love your content!
Your classes are so direct to the point, efficient and yet so funny! thank you very much
Subscribed! Thank you for explaining things with so much detail. I appreciate the humor too (and sirens in the background!) 😂
Depends on the length of the thumb and fingers. Wrist height is personal.
Excellent tutorial thanks
Best spiccato vid...fabulous
Awesome!
Hiiii ! Cool video, amazing!
Awesome video but I would like to see you demonstrate this technique by playing a part of a piece or something?
I mean, he kind of did at 0:03. Every video Filip does starts with his bit of Paganiniana, but almost all of what he's doing is spiccato
thxs! helps my spiccato, but it is still a bit tricky. 😅
Are you teaching spiccato or sautille?
when spiccato goes fast enough, it's becomes sautillé, and verse versa. so they are just the same technique going at different speeds
Thanks
👌👌👌
I wish I can broke my shoulder so that it won’t engage in playing 😂😂😂😂😂
🎻👍
spiccato

That's not spiccato, that's sautillé.
