RE: plants struggling in passive hydro: with the Philos you can just get rid of the reservoir and water it like a plant in sphag or soil vs the rigmarole of transitioning to a different medium. I've been experimenting with Hoya in leca, and found that they really love to have extra ventilation (like a closed system with extra holes, or an orchid pot in a saucer vs a net pot in a cachepot. It can get really really swampy and damp inside the pot, and I think some Hoya just do not like that at all.
yes I've been finding this for sure! in the process of moving all my hoya out of jars etc - they were supposed to only be in those for propagation...and then they stayed there 😂😂 I'll try this for my philos though that's a great idea rather than trying to move them back to soil - thank you! 🌱🌱
Great update on your grow tent, it's a very exciting time for you, thanks for the update. I tried to get sphagnum moss, but can't find it in usual places that |I used to buy before corona time! Where do you get your sphagnum moss?
Beautiful plants ^^ love how healthy your hoyas look :) May I ask what's the controversy and drama about the yellow variegated Monstera 'area' ? It's on my wish list since some time now, I wasn't even aware it was controversial for some reason ... haha
James.. It is always thrilling to see any of your plants and new growth. I look forward to seeing all your videos..please continue posting. Hugs from the other side of the world.😊🤗😊
James...I want to Thank YOU again for taking the time out to respond to me. I know how much time it takes to make these YOU TUBE videos but you always seem to take the time out of your schedule to say thank you to your viewers. . So Thank YOU once again. Keep up the good work. Antoinette
Ohh so much new growth 😍 really enjoyed this video 👍 ohh Obliqua is so cute and well done for your success... is that me or you added more plants in to your collection 😂😂 your tent looks very full 😍😂
Amaizing collection! Where did you got your lemon lime maranta? I'm into hoyas and prayerplants right now:D It is so lovely... I wish I could find one cutting at reasonable price!
Hello I’m new to your channel . Could you make a video to help people who wanna get grow tent like you what worked for you what did not and why etc. kinda like what you wish you could tell your past self to do differently ? I appreciate links and price too your preferences etc
Damn those hybrid philo leaves are amazing!!! As is that palladiflorum! I would love a bicolour but I'm scared to get one now as so many ruizii and other dupes have been incorrectly ID'd and sold as bicolour :(
Totally! its a bit scary - I can send you the aroid.org species description on insta if you like - its been super helpful! The easiest way to tell is that colour division on the petiole that I sort of showed. I hope you find one they are just gorgeous in person!
haha its a struggle 😂 fortunately the majority of my plants are in my two growtents so they take up a relatively small amount of space in my home. But I'm always having to trim stuff back to stop it getting totally packed in there. 🌱🌱
The fact that you are so humble makes me happy! A lot of tubers are doing this stuff for clout and you can tell your heart is in it
Here from the recommendations algorithm, great vid. Subscribed. I've never seen some of these grow techniques before.
