The production got panned but Adam got rave reviews, as did (still best friend) Alisan Porter, who won The Voice a few years ago. She was the one who walked between Adam and Val Kilmer with water pitcher. He almost got fired because he wore black nail polish to rehearsal, lol.
Almost fired for wearing black nail polish. Lol. Oh, Alisan? Not sure who she is, but you say she won on the Voice? Never really watched that show.

The critics hated thisvproduction, except for one exceptional young ADAM LAMBERT! They said the producers wisely gave the most challenging vocal numbers to him, since he could do them justice!
Congrats on the ticket. You hit the lottery again with that! Was trying to do some chores, had the computer on and say a tweet in my feed that you reacted to this so I dropped the laundry and jumped onto YT. I get stuck in that rabbit hole sometimes and was trying to be good and get chores done before diving into this pleasure.

The musical never made it to Broadway. I believe it was originally a German production and some American producers bought the rights, wrote new music for it. Adam has this one solo as Joshua but he is featured in a few other songs along as well as being in the chorus. Funny thing is, once you're familiar with his voice, you can pick his voice out over the others.
Case in point, Into the Deep when Moses is about to part the Red Sea and Joshua is terrified they are being led to their deaths. After it happens, Joshua's voice soars over the chorus as they cross the dry seabed to safety. Would love to see Adam in a musical. His voice is phenomenal. I did see Donny Osmond in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. It was a good performance. I grew up when he was a teen idol and had his pictures all over my 12 year old bedroom walls.

Yes the emotion in this performance is amazing! Like Adam is so connected to the role and the song that it hardly feels that this is acting.

I am so glad I found Adam and now I will be going to see Adam live before I even go to see the original artist who inspired me. I will always be grateful to the original artist who got me to cross over and get out of my comfort zone. Because of him, I have found some of the most amazing music my ears have ever heard. Adam, is by far, the most amazing vocalist I have ever heard! Hands Down! I have also met so many wonderful fans through this and now I am one. You mentioned The Osmonds, I have been an Osmond fan since the 1970’s and have met Donny and Marie at different shows in Chicago and Indiana! I did see Donny in Chicago when he did “Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”! Donny was so good, had a 5 year run in Chicago! When I saw Adam (in this video) I thought of Donny too because of the Religous theme and they both had the long hair. A lot of us Glamberts agree that Adam looks good in long hair. Adam can sing anything and everything, truly was destined for Stardom. I never tire of seeing any of his videos over and over again, so addicting that Glambert! 😜😍. Thanks for this reaction
I really like your reactions to Adam, although I don't comment very often. But I'm so glad you got a ticket to his Vegas gig! I've seen him live with Queen, but never doing his own stuff. Vegas is too far away for me to travel (I drove to Canada from my home near the border) to see Queen. But enjoy!!!

@@michaeljohn9271 There is hardly anything Glamberts didn´t discover yet. I even have some videos that were already deleted. The Brigadoon is beautiful, his song from Hair is from the other world. I even like his version of Fayero from Wicked. I´ve seen on UA-cam different version by different actors to know, that choreography is done but it is wonderful to see the details Adam added there. :)
Yep, that song blows my mind every time I hear it. I've never heard a more pure voice.
Absolutely, one of my favourite things he's ever done. I've heard opera singers say they have never heard a more perfect rendition of "Come to Me, Bend to Me" than Adam Lambert's and he was only 22 at the time. I also read that story that the other actors would stand at the sides backstage just to listen to him singing it every night. And you can hear the audience being so quiet, enraptured, I can believe it was an amazing experience to hear it live. So glad somebody thought to record the audio!
OMG, Adam played Joseph in the young people's theatre company he was in. I'd love to see him reprise the roll as an adult. I'm a sucker for the really emotional songs - Close Every Door! I'd also love him as Marius in Les Mis - Empty Chairs at Empty Tables - and the Phantom in Phantom of the Opera. I'd also love to see him in Jesus Christ Superstar as Jesus, singing Gethsemane. JCS is one of Adam's fav musicals and he said he'd love to be Judas.

This musical premiered in 2004, so Adam was 22 at the time. The musical itself was quite bad (according to Adam himself), as the producers were not from the arts and apparently totally clueless on how to put up a decent show, but Adam got great reviews on his performance.

So just after the video stopped, one of the slave drivers starts whipping Joshua for not working. Moses comes to his defense and stabs the slave driver. He gets rid of the body and directs Joshua to leave.
This was in 2006 so Adam was 24. That year he also sang this song at a telethon. After he finished, the woman who was hosting that segment asked if he sang at Bar Mitzvahs.
For sure you'll run into Glamberts. Don't be surprised to hear about fan get togethers before and after the show.

Beautiful video but I realy love his version from Detroit - the only one he didn´t adore Brian and instead of that he teased him. It was just this concert of the whole tour.
