Your explanation of how to use and memorize melodic phrases with the Volca Keys sequencer is one of the clearest and simplest there is, thank you! I finally got it! 🤩🏆
I mean... It has been played live at times, but the studio version definitely wasn't live. It was sequenced and multitracked, pretty much as far from being live as is possible.
Newbie question so be kind. How do I slow down the tempo. I followed the video but the tempo stays the same. ive looked at the instructions but its not very good.TIA
I used my korg Volca fm for this, I had to trigger every sequence cause you only can glue two parts right? (don't know the technical words, haha) if i'm wrong, explain please :-D
This is a great patch - I’m gonna try it on my Volca and MS20. Here is one I did a while back if anyone is interested.ua-cam.com/video/kCHeCjQCDkY/v-deo.html
Yeah. And mine can't even make a cup of tea. And when I asked it to vacuum my apartment, it just sat there motionless on the carpet. F*ckin' rubbish. No?
@@eyeball226 But it's value is in its quality and simplicity. Add that feature - and then what more features do you want? How many knobs to put on it? I'd personally like more than 8 memory slots - but, but, but - it was a hundred dollars! p.s. A violin has no memory slots - OR a transpose button. :) Cheers.
@@astrophysicistatplay6061 But to portray my comment as if it was equivalent to asking why it doesn't make tea is disingenuous at best. ;) If a violin had a sequencer then I'd expect it to be able to transpose too. :D

great way to show workflow. please do one like this for FM.
I love you Korg!😘
Hello from Tallinn!👧🙌👍
Recreated this on my modular. Very fun patch for the weekend, thx!
I did it on volca modular and used tonic to transpose. Another great POTW!!!
Nice work
First patch on the keys and very helpfull, first time I actually did more then just make drone sounds with it!
That's amazing!
Thanks this was awesome! Will try it on a couple of volcas!
If you watch the Donna Summer Video - I Feel Love - it is actually played live.

Don't be silly.
So there are no copy/paste function and no note /octave shift function?

It's almost impossible to make this little best sound bad!

It would be a lot more fun if the Volcas supported sequence transposition: no need to program the same sequence several times in different keys.
every seqeuncer should be possible to do that by law
Yeah. And mine can't even make a cup of tea. And when I asked it to vacuum my apartment, it just sat there motionless on the carpet. Fussy bugger.
@@astrophysicistatplay6061 have you tried asking it politely?
So the tempo speed is same when you change to another memory slot ?even if you saved in different tempo?thanks!
Yes. Tempo changes are not saved to the patterns.
Stephanie McKeon thank you very much!
I like it. Blue Man Group has nothing on you.
Muy buen video, aquí un tutorial en español: ua-cam.com/video/TCtm8INFraQ/v-deo.html

The fact you had to save the same sequence 3 times in different keys kind of highlights the silly omission of sequence transposition, no?
Yeah. And mine can't even make a cup of tea. And when I asked it to vacuum my apartment, it just sat there motionless on the carpet. F*ckin' rubbish. No?
@@astrophysicistatplay6061 Oh come on, being able to transpose a sequence with the keyboard is a pretty standard feature and has been for decades.

@@eyeball226 Fair cop! My point is that you can't expect everything to do everything. But point taken. :)
