to be honest, the voting system is better in my opinion. half of the time my teammates on faceit dont even pay attention during knife round, and will always want ct side no matter the map lol. and faceits system of allowing you to deselect certain maps leaving you in pools where its only mirage, nuke, and anubis etc. is very annoying. I actually do like how faceit gives you more incentive to play, but sometimes the egos of people on there are super annoying. I think if faceit took the pick ban system of premier it would be better because it would expand players map picks and make them learn more istead of every pug being on mirage. at this point with 6k+ hours the only reason i play faceit is for the anti cheat.

As a Faceit Level 10 I can attest that Faceit is 100% better. Premier could have given faceit a run for it's money if they had anything for an anticheat but it doesn't. Also you're right, the points system is kind of dogshit. The ranking system in premier is dogshit and if it stays the same I wouldn't but I like the picks and bans are better than faceit. At level 10 there are many premium players who deselect 3 maps so its always the same few every game and they know every trick on their specific 4 maps. Also with one captain you can't really get input on if your team actually knows how to play maps correctly. The premium voting system lets people say what maps they aren't comfortable with in a better way. Also if you aren't in the super que where you can't play against 5 stacks, faceit can be hell at level 10. Then you have a high likelihood of playing against actual teams with strats when you are playing with solo que randoms who've never played team cs before. The faceit anti cheat makes cs2 playable though. I don't have to deal with cheaters every game unlike premier where it is every other game.

As a preface, I have all but given up on premier. I'll play it with my friends who aren't as good at the game as I am because I've abandoned hope on premier rankings. 1. You are -300/+100 elo in premier because you're losing more than you're winning, and the game thinks you belong at a lower rank than you currently have. It reverses when you win a lot. You can get games that are +300/-100 elo if you win like 3 or 4 in a row. Sometimes it doesn't work out like that, and it can definitely be bullshit sometimes. I'm 18k elo in premier and I had a run at one point where I was -500/+100 in a match, won that game, and my next game was -600/+100 which I lost. It just be like that sometimes. 2. You didn't even mention cheating. That is the #1 reason people choose faceit over premier, by a mile. Even at 18k elo, cheating is a massive problem in premier. Cheaters are the gatekeepers of 20k+ elo. When I get matches against people with pink ranks, it's literally more than a 50% chance they are just blatantly cheating. Cheating exists in Faceit, but if you watch videos about people who develop and sell cheats, they will tell you it's easier and more profitable to simply not try to make cheats for faceit and stick to mm. The amount of equipment you need to even be able to cheat in Faceit is upwards of $1000 including buying the cheats, which automatically makes it much more unlikely that a player would choose to spend that amount of money just to cheat in CS. On the other hand, you can get cheats and accounts for mm for like $20. I think that you came to the right conclusion for the wrong (even though they are valid) reasons. Faceit is so much better for people who are serious about the game simply because you aren't wasting 1 or 2 hours per night playing matches with cheaters.
Being able to say what you want is a remnant of the old internet and I very much enjoy it. And I’m not even someone who says bad things. I try to stay positive as much as I can, but that’s something that sets this apart from every other game. It has that Wild West draw.
I really wanted to try faceit because people say that anti cheat is way better there, but for some reason faceit's VAC is conflicting with windows 11. I don't want to downgrade my OS only for counter strike, somaybe someone had a similar issue and knows a solution
11k hours here: when I first started playing cs2 I thought premiere was fun. And it is fun and it’s good for what it is, which is an introduction to a competitive environment. What it doesn’t do is stop players from cheating to get on the leader board… I’m like 22k elos on premiere and every other match, there’s someone cheating. And this isn’t something that happens on faceit. Their anti cheat works. Play faceit if you’re serious about the game. Play premiere if you wanna have fun with your buddies or meeting funny random players.
The shitty thing about premier mode is that you can be the best on the server, but if you lose as a team, your elo points will be deducted anyway , Scoring should be individual, now players have 15k points because they played with better players than themselves in the team and these better players boost the worse ones.quite senseless
I play on 1440x1080 on a 1080p monitor. The reason I don’t play on 1280x720 is because it looks horrible. The reason I play on that resolution is because the game will be stretched and people are wider and easier to see the game doesn’t look crunched in the middle like it does on 1920x1080 and with 1440p you get that same stretched effect but your game doesn’t look like trash!

I liked faceit for a while, I was a faceit 5, but suddenly the system kept pairing me with multiple faceit 9s and 10s that were Q'ing with lower ranks to play against weaker since they can't handle other level 10s and that took all my motivation and faceit didn't seem to be doing anything to stop that...
I had not one good expierience in faceit solo. Not a single one. No one talks and if someone talks just to insult. Enemys are lvl 0 Steam accs new faceit accounts 100% smurfing or boosting. Its as low level faceit player 0 fun.

Hell most people are worse cause they think it's good and they are good or their good friend only plays face it and go in go 0 10. For the mmr part yes 100000% the new mmmr is absolute dog shit. I used to play faceit. But every single game I had a very toxic/xenophobe player. If you have non-USA accent you are doomed. Got back to normal MM. I'm having fun with current Premier (around 9K rating with 2500 hours played). I don't see a reason to try faceit again.

FACEIT does have a more serious player base, something to consider but overall it totally outperforms Premier.

You'd easily get level 5 or higher (which is good, levels are 1-10 and you start at lvl 3)

I doubt that's why they were queueing with lower ranks, it's almost certainly just because their friends are those ranks.
