The Tokyo-Hakone Ekiden is an annual collegiate relay race held on January 2 and 3. The race starts in front of the Yomiuri Shimbun in Otemachi, Tokyo, and runs 107.5 km on the outward leg and 109.6 km on the return leg to Lake Ashinoko in Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture, covering a total distance of 217.1 km (as of 2023). This video is a 21.4km video of the first section from the start point in Otemachi, Tokyo to the Tsurumi relay station.
