    Few days after making the video, and realizing these solar air pumps ran all night long 24/7. I did more digging and there is a 2200mah battery built into solar panels. So solar panels charge battery and batteru powers pump.

    Pond is such a crazt concept. In my area we have black bears and lots of raccoons, so might not be doable. Grear video as usual. Love it

      If I go bigger scale will definitely need some kind of screened enclosure or something a long those lines. Where I live it pretty much corn and bean fields as fas as the eye can see, so not a ton on intrusive nature around here. Worst thing that happens around here are the squirrels stealing some of my plants to eat lol.

    Well done Mark,
    Video tip. As you're filming and talkin about each tank a little tip is take three times as long filming as you do talkin meaning when you say something it takes a moment for us the viewer to absorb what you're saying and then the video needs to be slower than what you said so leave it in position and move the camera three times slower than you're talkin that gives the brain of a human time to absorb what you're saying and looking at little filmont it there

    Pretty cool idea what kind of chiller will you use for the summer months?

    • @MarkShellyAquatics
      @MarkShellyAquatics Рік тому

      No chiller, they'll be warmer than they like, but hopefully the shade cloth helps enough. The highest temps I have ever seen in my ponds out side is mid 80s to upper 80s. They hopefully will be ok, why its kind of an experiement.

      I've had ponds outside for over 20 years now in Indiana and the nasty creepy crawlies have not been a problem. The only natural body of water is the little creek/ditch running through town. Whole area is basically industrial monoculture crop fields. Pretty restricted on wild life, especially aquatic wild life. My ponds have always been a beacon for all the local birds. Of course Ive never really did shrimp out side.
      I do have nets, but its the big nets, its the nets to deter the 4 legged and 2 legged varmints lol.

    and if you can suggest on what to breed from those colors, that would be great.

    • @MarkShellyAquatics
      @MarkShellyAquatics Рік тому

      With neos generally you wanna keep the colors separate and work on making them higher grades by selective breeding. If you wanna mix, just do it for fun. You will have better luck mixing colors that are closely related. Of those that you have the ones that are closest related are red and orange, but I am guessing if you mixed those you would more than likely end up with mostly reds.

I was out with wife last night, got home at 130am and both solar pumps were still running. Looks like the street lights and my solar lights make enough ambient light for them to run 24 hours a day.
