M.Moszkowski - Etude Op.72 No.1

This semester has come to an end, so now I have more spare time to upload videos. This is the Étude Op. 72 No. 1 by Moritz Moszkowski, the one that I mentioned last month. His studies sound like Chopin, and are difficult as his. According to the sheet music, the first study might look simple, but it requires “knotty” technique to play. Fingers should be agile throughout the piece, and the middle part of the left hand is one of the hardest parts - it's a nightmare..!

안녕하세요! 정말오랜만에 영상을 올립니다! 드디어 종강이네요ㅠㅠ 오늘은 새로운 작곡가의 작품을 하나 가져왔습니다, 바로 모리츠 모슈코프스키 의 에튀드Op.72 제1번의 마장조 입니다. 이 곡은 단조로워 보이는 악보와 달리 상당히 까다로운 기교를 요구하는 곡입니다, 특히 중반부 왼손은 정말이지 악몽이군요.. 모슈코프스키의 에튀드는 마치 제2의 쇼팽에튀드의 곡집을 보는것 같습니다. 아무튼, 잘 들어주시면 감사하겠습니다! :) 다음영상도 머지않아 올라올것 같습니다ㅎㅎ

Why not do all of op.72? There are many gems there. I really enjoyed working on them in my younger days. (You are much better, though!)

Love this set of etudes, please play more of these hidden gems! Numbers 2 and 6 are personal favorites of mine. Great playing as always
모슈코프스키... 피협 3악장 듣고 처음 알게된 쇼팽과 같은 폴란드 작곡가였는데 그닥 많이는 알려지지 못한게 아쉽게 느껴지더라구요 ㅠㅠ... 앞으로는 그의 곡이 더 알려졌으면 하는 바람... 어째서인지 그에게서 쇼팽의 색채와 향기가 느껴지는 것 같기두...🌸
요 곡 아름답고 단조로워 보이는 악보에 비해, 처음부터 끝까지 꽤나 어렵게 느껴지는 것 같아요🌙

처음 이 분 곡을 들어보기는 하였는데 한눈에 반한 것 같네요. 너무 마음에 듭니다. 꽤 어려운 기교가 필요할 것 같지만 그 속에 들어있는 선율이 너무 아름답고 풍요로우며 수려합니다. 이 분에 대해서도 알아봐야겠네요. 아무튼 이런 질좋은 연주 덕분에 오늘도 귀 호강하고 갑니다. 정말로 감사합니다!

if you ever perform on a proper concert grand please do upload it! its quite evident that the current piano holds back ur expression of the piece and i have no doubt that a larger sized grand piano would make your playing sound wonderful. Good luck for your major!

이곡 앞부분만 봤을 땐 '하... 또 -체-같은 초기 낭만 연습곡이구나" 했는데 뒤로 갈수록 미쳐날뛰는 화성이 자주 들었던 기억이 나네요. ㅎㅎ
이 곡 말고도 모슈콥 에튀드 좋은거 많으니까 좋은 연주 기대합니다(?)

I know this is late, but can I ask you how difficult this is? I'm planning to use this etude as one of the pieces I use to improve finger dexterity and clarity for my folio during my music subject.
Left hand is quite difficult haha:)

처음으로 접하여 감상하고 덕분에 새로 알게된 곡입니다.
이 곡은 물론 후기 낭만주의 작곡자 모슈코프스키는 재주목, 재평가받아 빛을 보고 로베르트 슈만, 요하네스 브람스 만큼이나 널리 알려져야 됩니다.
오늘도 즐겁게 잘감상했습니다.

Moszkowski studies are true gems that should be better known. THANKS. This one, to me, is a hommage to Czerny

Btw have you considered playing Liszt's 7th Transcendental etude "Eroica"? I think I've asked before. I saw you play the end with those octaves in Alkan's Le Preux, Liszt's piece has a very similar but slightly easier ending and I haven't seen many people been able to pull it off, im sure you'd do so well.

This study and many of the Czerny 740 are indisputably more difficult than many of Chopin etudes. it is a mistake on the part of music schools to approach studies in a disorderly way, be careful and I'm not speaking ill of Chopin 😛 I like his studies but it is time to accept that there are more difficult things.
But difficulty can't be pieces of value. True value of music is emotion and sentiment. Czeny, Chopin, and Moszkowski are all the great composers.
You should try to do the etude en douze exercices s.136 Liszt
