Totally agree with everything you said. Was the most fun coaster experience in the park. It totally surprised me the first time going on it, particularly the launches. The backwards launch was my favorite. Did also feel a rattle so hope that can be fixed if they put another one out. In my opinion, best coaster at the park, hands down. I loved TMNT, but Sandy's Blasting Bronco was more of a fun ride. Thanks for the great review, guys!
I live near the Nickelodeon Universe and three rides is enough for me during each visit since I go upside-down at 24 times. This coaster also made VelociCoaster most exciting for me since I first rode this coaster in October of 2020, and it has a similar type of train.
I rode this ride during the last few days of 2022. It was an amazing thrill machine. Perhaps Six Flags can use this type of model for their parks, even if it’s a cloned model.
I went to Nickelodeon universe a few days ago but Sandy's blasting bronco was closed. It was my second time there, and it was open the first time. It is the best ride there.
The rollercoasters do not share a foundation with the building. Each column has in independent footing just like an exterior coaster does. These are even on deep pilings due to the marshy soil. The columns and footings should not be moving. If they are, its a SERIOUS problem, and you would see cracks in the floor. Its likely more a function of slight imperfections in the track when they welded it together, or something with the wheels, such as uneven compression of the urethane in heavy force moments.
@@porcelainthunder2213 Yes it could be the track but I feel like Intiman has sorted out this issue especially in recent years. Could it possibly be the ground in the surrounding area. I have heard others say that parks with for ground near where the foundations are can cause issues like this, not sure if that is true though.
@@YesItsEpicto me it’s a foundation issue especially considering shellraiser… also brand new… built on the same foundation… is also way too rough for a brand new gerstlauer.
Just rode this yesterday and it was awesome. I was also a bit dizzy like you, but it was because I first rode all the round and round kiddie rides with my kids. It's funny how I can handle fairly aggressive roller coasters but not kiddie rides. 😂
I love coasters of this type because of the lighting (and of course the ride itself). One of these by the water can deeply enhance any theme park's night skyline.
I dont know for sure but i heard the reason tmnt and sandys are kinda rough is because the park chose to build the supports into the floor and not on there own concrete footers which caused the ride not to be as sturdy u can def see this with tmnt
When I rode this ride, there were three separate times when the ride broke down while I was in line. This included a time when I was LITERALLY ON THE TRAIN WAITING FOR DISPATCH
Love seeing some old school content, especially on a ride I really enjoyed. It is VERY surprising! I didn’t experience the roughness you did but there was a little rattle on the valleys. But overall I think this is a ride model that could be easily cloned & people wouldn’t even be mad about it…assuming they can keep it running consistently. Definitely agree it’s the best ride in the park.
I got to ride it with no line as well. I had watched so many videos for this ride, and that backwards launch still caught me off guard. I think because it's all the way in the back of the park, it gets missed out while TMNT, Shredder and Slime Streak are more up front. Finding entrances to anything in this park is a bit wonky overall.
Sounds very neat. And I definitely think we'll see more of these, Intamin is marketing it as an off the shelf model. Not with the turntable though but as a traditional triple launch coaster. Which of course probably wouldn't be as intense or surprising as whats the case with Sandys, but what really strikes me with it is 2 things. 1. Its the most compact triple launch coaster on the market as of right now by a long shot! And- 2. Its portable! You can order this as a portable ride for fairgrounds. This is afaik the only portable triple launch coaster on the market Imagine seeing something like this at a state fair, it would be a massive jump up from the vast number of Zyklons and old Wild cats and other cheap rides at fair grounds. But the tight footprint of this might even make the layout work at more indoor theme parks or in extremely compact places. This ride has a footprint of just 55 meters by 11 meters, more compact than even a pinfari Zyklon. So I imagine we might also see this layout at some boardwalks too and what not, it has a lot of possibilities.
This should be the replacement for Goliath at Six flags New England. Not only would it be better than Goliath, but it would also fill the launch coaster gap at that Park
As a decently seasoned enthusiast this is the only ride that after marathoning made me sick! Glad this ride is getting more recognition I personally like it more than velocicoaster for its actual intense launches and inversions.
Taylor I know what you mean about feeling out whack after riding this ride. I had 19 straight rides on Dominator at KD when they had passholder night and when I got off the ride my balance was off.
I feel like the rattle has to be from how the track was treated after it’s arrival on the site. This and the two Gerstlauers have quite the shake, so I’m thinking it’s something that was done either during construction or how the trains have been taken care of?
There's something about Nickelodeon Universe that makes me get motion sick on all of their rides. I don't know if it's the lack of fresh air, or the smell of the park, but I just get so nauseous in that park.
I think the reason for this ride's roughness might be the same as why Shellraiser is rougher than Takabisha, i.e. it might be a construction/foundation issue unique to the park. As for the reason it made you sick - I'd imagine it has to do with the layout. Every track element of this ride is an inversion, it's fast paced, and it doesn't have anything else to balance it out besides the break in the middle. I actually don't see many parks choosing this over SRIIs - they have more variety in terms of elements, and they are definitely more visually striking to parkgoers.
I definitely got dizzy after a couple rides and I tend to marathon SR2s and never get dizzy. I also think the shakiness has something to do with it. Also, i always take Dramamine beforehand to mitigate motion sickness
@@CoasterStudios I'd say Gale Force doing 2 laps is the better comparison, since you're back in the station and it could theoretically operate as 1 lap only.
This ride proves than even if there isn't much space, the launch can still be done on one pass. Swing launches are stupid and take away the intensity that the ride could have. I wish more coasters would use quick intense launches like this, but unfortunately it seems that many are being built now with swing launches instead. I don't understand what's so appealing about them because they suck and make a ride way less fun and memorable for me
You're probably thinking of the on-ride reaction we posted from this roller coaster, or maybe the vlog from Nickelodeon Universe where we experienced it for our first time!
I think I know why it's always down. it's because it's got so many moving parts! so many more ways things can go wrong. when you add more moving parts to things, you gum up the works and violate the Engineering principle of KISS. any engineer'll tell you that moving parts are the worst!
If someone who never usually gets motion sickness, felt dizzy or sick on this ride, there’s little hope for me. I had for most of my twenties, grown out of my motion sickness and could do pretty much anything without much trouble at all. But now? 🫣pray I don’t throw up after a ride, heck I’m getting motion sickness riding the bus to town or work now, and I didn’t have that issue just a few months ago 😩. My body is truly turning against me 😞. I have some ways of preventing or reducing my risk of nausea; empty stomach or at least a few hours after eating but with some liquids, wear anti-sickness wrist bands…🤔💭hhmm only two things, I thought there were more.🤦♀️ Can anyone suggest something to help me with this problem, please? I’d appreciate it very much 😊. FYI I do have vertigo which flares up irregularly without much warning, so dizziness is potentially unavoidable for coasters with inversions 🤷♀️(I remember riding nemesis inferno once within the last 4 or 5 years and my head was spinning like crazy afterwards 💔it’s in my top three favourite coasters so I don’t hate it for that, it’s just my body deciding it doesn’t want me to have fun like that anymore).
This would be a great replacement for Harley Quinn crazy coaster at six flags Discovery Kingdom
Except for the fact that it would be right next to a Premier SR2
Anything would be better than that pseudo-coaster flat ride, POS!
A swing launch coaster is right next to it…
More parks need these
Six Flags no longer holds the SpongeBob IP
It’s a crazy, weird, intense ride. It feels like a prototype in the way it runs, but I love the uniqueness.

That’s why I love mr freeze reverse because that backwards launch feels way different than forwards. Which is similar to this ride

The shaky part probably has to do with the supports being build over the station in a specific way and the mall foundation the ride was built on.

For me, this ranks right up there with the Batman clones and dive coasters. It's a really unique, compact ride with a nice variety of forces

Would you rather ride this or Mr Freeze?
Mr Freeze!
With the program this runs it technically holds the inversion record on this side of the ocean with its 8 inversions. Is that cheating?
I'd call it cheating haha. It's like saying a boomerang has 6 inversions instead of 3.
